03.04 am uk 🇬🇧 time , I'm fan number 3 ! ( Wonderful first debut shave 🎉 Greg a star is born ✨️ that huge blade is a miracle to give a 21 day shave 😮 , i could hear it cutting so clearly ! Excellent explanation of a perfect shave technique, deeply appreciated. Congratulations 🎊 🎉)
Another ‘Star is Born’. 👍 Nicely done, I enjoyed it. Many folks see seasoned shave aficionados ‘racing along’ and flawlessly jumping through the diversity of their collections in hardware and software. In my experience, committing to the use of exactly the same gear repeatly as you are exemplifying is the ‘best teacher’ of ‘good shaving skills’. I seldom do it anymore, but early on, was a regular practitioner of using 1 preshave, 1 razor, 1 type blade, 1 brush, 1 soap, and 1 post shave regimen for a whole month. New shavers could not go wrong adopting this practice.
Excellent shave video, Greg. I’ve been busy and just got opportunity to watch. As the king of long shave videos, don’t worry one bit what others think. They’ll either watch, or not, or in segments. I’m glad people watch my long videos, but in the end I do them for myself. I’ve long believed and said, the real test of honing is the shave. Good to see you in front of the camera. You present a strong masculine image. Keep it up. 👍🏻
gorgeous Henckels Greg. Nice to see you shave and love your challenge. lower shave angle also reduces lateral stress on the edge which in turn increase edge longevity. best wishes
Thank you Jacques! _lower shave angle also reduces lateral stress on the edge which in turn increase edge longevity_ Exactly! On a well-honed razor the edge at the apex is quite thin. Stresses in that tiny volume are quite high and steel tends to be weaker in shear (lateral stress) than in compression (or tension which isn't applicable in this case).
Great shave and talk. Awesome for your first. I still struggle as I have not done too many on camera. I am so blind without my glasses, it’s a challenge 😂.
I forgot to mention your Zenith boar brush. I too have a Zenith boar 31mm. I normally don’t like boar, but love that 31mm. Mine comes from Stirling Soap Co. Yours look great.
Great on camera shaving debut! Does the fact that it's a stainless steel razor account for it having stayed comfortable for 21 shaves so far with no stropping?
@@avromcoodin3010 Thank you for the kind words! Yes, I think this stainless is pretty wear resistant. I did have a strategy in preparing the edge also. I’ll do another shave video for shave 31 where I talk about the whole experience.
Actually, I recommend that you strop after each shave. I intend to do a wrap up video on August 31 where I explain my strategy for my “no stropping” month.

Absolute wonderful shave Greg! I would love to see more of these you’re a natural talker!

Actually, Rod was instrumental in our Reddit group getting that brush into this country. The one you bought has the same handle and knot.

Hi Greg. Nice debut. So you don't nevessarily have to strop your razor after every single shave 🙂 thanks for sharing
