I start my vehicle without programming ecu, i used GDS2 for clear high voltage DTCs from Hybrid powertrain control module1/2 and that's it,ready to go. On place airbag i put 2ohm resistors, no DTC or error massage on dashboard ;)

Not to knock your day job. But you’re one of the main people at Autel. I bought an im608. And it’s funny now knowing you work for them. My im608 should be here around Friday. Hope it really lives up too the hype.
BTW, you can ADD US market Chevy volt keys without any tools. The procedure is in the owners manual. Many locksmiths can cut the mechanical part of the key by decoding the pattern and duplicating it. No fancy tool required unless AKL.
I programmed aftermarket keys $20 each on Ebay for a 2017 Chevy Bolt myself using the method in the owners manual and then had a locksmith cut the keys for another $20.
On some manufacturers the Autel tools will allow you to pull the "As Built" data from the PCM and push it into the new/used PCM. However that is limited. I would answer NO to this question because there are to many variables.

The IM608 comes with 12 months of updates and 12 months of warranty. During that time you will have access to all the latest updates and functions. Many of the advanced key programing functions require server access. When your tool expires if you do not update you will loose that advanced functions.

any options to add additional functions to the key fob. I'd like it if I could get it to close all the windows. Right now all it will do is open all the windows remotely. Not a big help. Thanks

For programming keep in mind some mfrs have requirements to have a battery maintainer which I've seen anywhere from $500 to $900 roughly. The voltage has to be stable and just so you know a battery charger won't do this. Not done properly you can brick your module and then you're out more money so be careful.

You will need to register and update the tool before you can use it. Registration is easy. If you have a key that runs the cylinder, leave it in the ignition in RUN for 11min three times (switching to off when the key light goes out) it will learn it without any tools.
@@FlashPerformance you'll need to have it next to a transponder antenna 📡... If there is push start button you can press it 3 times to get into ACC mode... I'm not sure with Chevy though, and in some cars won't take old keys if they aren't erased first - not a factor with new keys. I guess if you mess with random cars often and don't feel like learning the rain dance for every car it's a good tool. Time vs money argument. Fixing cars and stuff is a good hobby.

Are you able to use the one from the one that had no air bag deployment, was it gone or are they not capable of being rewritten or learned into the system? I thought there's aftermarket companies that offer them cheaper? I've seen air bag parts, etc...
Never mind saw later in the video that you addressed the module issue. That's still something that makes one wonder if there's a way to rewrite the VIN# for the SRS SDM modules. 🤔

Yes, the IM508 can do this process as well. No the other Autel tools can not communicate with the vehicle without the ignition on. That feature is exclusive to the IM tools
You pulled the pin number with the 608. Can the 906 pro do the same things? Or the 909. Don't need to program European for me. Just Asian and domestic.

Didn't you have to do the VSP thing that if you're doing keys there's a form for. It's something to do with making sure that only people who need be are getting access to security databases for doing this type of stuff. I think it may have been LSID for making keys, etc. Trying to learn this stuff which is why I'm asking.
An LSID is needed if you do not have the ability to pull the pin from the vehicle. Since the Autel tool can pull the vehicle PIN an LSID is not required. On some new vehicles like Nissan 22 Digit you will need an LSID.
I like the video but I wish the Autel could have been use to program/relearn the Control Module. Why do you have to use a Laptop? Then the Autel is not the latest and greatest.....hmmmmm just pondering.
All OE manufacturers require the use of Windows 10 to run their program. The Autel tools run on an android platform, that is why you can not use the Autel to do the programing.
On this car no, since it is a hybrid the contactors in the hybrid control module must be rest. Programming the airbag module is the first step to reseting the contactors. Part two is coming, I'm just slow to edit the video

You are correct the IM tools are heavily reliant on the online server. If your tool is not current and your update expires you will loose all that advanced online functionality.

Just think - you're buying tool for huge money, and in a year you must pay again so you can continue to use it. It's called rent then, not purchase. And worst of all - they nowhere mention fact that it will lose important features if you don't buy updates. I have AutoProPad which only costs $800, can do 90% of cars comparing to this, no Internet required and it will not turn into brick if you stop buying updates.
@@FlashPerformance wrong! Go to Ebay and search srs module reset, many providers reset the crash data at chip level and charge $40 for this service, a fraction of what you paid for your new module! The hard crash data is only setup that way as cash grab from manufacturers! Nothing is physically blown on srs modules, I've done hundreds!

The Autel IM608 is a great tool. Depending on your needs. If you are looking for something for just asian domestic you can check out the Autel IM508, or the TOPDON T-Ninja 1000. Also great tools.
I did got im608 pro and I programmed ford /dodge/nissan/chevy/keys but when I went to program my own car I couldn't lol , it's an A4 2006 b7 , It brings up safe mode and I couldn't fix it , well the tool is perfect but not me I guess

high security keys huh? they are not high security if you are able to program them with a Chinese made machine perhaps.. in fact, in the computer field nothing is secure, since hackers are capable of braking in to government networks/servers. just saying, this machines are available for purchase by any body that has three grand to spare..

Now if you have 2 keys already programmed you can additional fobs, up to a total of 5, without the 3 sets of 10 minute waits. GM has been programming keys with this method since 07 for trucks and much earlier for cars.. Basically any chip key that isn't VATS...

What I don’t like about this tool from autel it s the yearly update fees 1250 kinda too much specially if they made the auro im600 like 2 years ago and the update was free for the life of the machine I checked the tool the obdstar and xtool better with prog keys
The updates on the IM608 is $895, the other tools you mentioned have "lifetime updates", but you still have to purchase the software upgrade. The xtool has limited diagnostics an no Jbox.
Flash Performance not true the software update its free for the life of tool my boss own one but I find that the autoprobad by xtool easier to use and have stronger software for European cars not all the distributors charge u 895$ and that missed up too

No, unfortunately not. That is programming built into the vehicle. The tool is limited to the same functions a factory tool can do.

This is a prox system. There is no ignition cylinder

The MS906 can Maxisys series can not pull pins. Autel has a KM100 or the TOPDON T-Ninja 1000 both can for less money then the IM608
How many amps is that Schumacher as I have the 100amp unit AESwave.com sells. Bought it about a year ago.

Yes, you can do this procedure without the key cut. If you have a cut key you can do the manual relearn proceedure.

Does autel sell the tool without the J-2534 (J-Box) as I have the drew tech and the Bosch ADS-625 I bought came with one as well.
The IM608 always comes with the J-2534 box. You can purchase the IM508 and add the XP400 if you are only looking to add keys.

Also you can reset those airbag modules, very cheap and easily.
Not on this vehicle. There is a reset process in the tool but that is only for the Yaw sensor. This module, once blown, has to be replaced.

There are a lot of issues with VW Audi vehicles right now. Make sure you are connected to the server

What is the difference between 508 and 608?
IM508 is only read and clear codes for diagnostics, no bidirectional control. The IM608 has full diagnostics and a JBox

You can program keys to this car with no special tools. But if it doesn't turn in the door you have the wrong cut.

You didn't need a $3600 tool for this, turn the door to unlock position 5 times... It's in the manual...

What I don’t like about this tool from autel it s the yearly update fees 1250 kinda too much specially if they made the auro im600 like 2 years ago and the update was free for the life of the machine I checked the tool the obdstar and xtool better with prog keys
The updates on the IM608 is $895, the other tools you mentioned have "lifetime updates", but you still have to purchase the software upgrade. The xtool has limited diagnostics an no Jbox.
Flash Performance not true the software update its free for the life of tool my boss own one but I find that the autoprobad by xtool easier to use and have stronger software for European cars not all the distributors charge u 895$ and that missed up too
