    Is the BMW F850GS on your short list of middle weight Adventure Motorcycles or do you have your eye on something else?

    I've just traded mine in for a 1250. It's lighter, better balanced and much easier to ride. It's 3 years older but a different class to be honest.

    I just booked the 2022 850GS Rallye Blue with Low Suspension and full package. You have that cool option for short riders.

      I am a short rider also....currently on 2016 R1200gs lc......as I get older, my inseam shrinks.....on the balls of my feet currently......the F750 gs low version and low low seat is 30.3"...Standard is 31.5. normal low seat....the issues with either F750 or F850 low versions is that there is no center stand or ESA.....if you do you own maintenance, you need center stand.....especially if you want to change the stupid spark plugs.......I and planning on looking at the F750 Standard with low seat.....My current r1200gs has a Russell seat and puts me up high....tomorrow I am going to the shop and look at a lower BMW seat and ,maybe it will allow me to keep flat footed and I can keep my R1200gs.....I love that bike and maintenance is beautifully simple...especially the plugs.....it taks total of 10 unites......the F750/F850 will take over 2 hours because the bike has to be naked........anyway great video......thanks

    Why are you using so much footage from the F 850 Adventure when your video is about the F 850 GS?? Kind of confusing to be honest.

    So the big question is considering price alone why buy the bmw when a new Norden 901 is seriously equipped and costs less…
    I’d enjoy seeing you compare them.

      People already reports reliability issues: leaking coolant, electrical problems, even shock blown. I was stoked for Norden, but that cooled me a bit

      Hmm 41 years of building GS bikes vs a bike you can't get and if you can you probably won't keep it on the road.

      basically the same apart the tank. gs gsa “premium package” all the same bike

      @@Crsf84 Extra weight of the fuel and Pannier frame...Makes a difference.. I downsized from the Super Tenere because of weight. Going down to the GSA didn't make any sense. Weight saving wasn't enough if i'd chosen the GSA.

    The F850GS is a not a great choice for the middle weight class ADV. I am not saying the motorcycle is bad. Look at the sales numbers. Just not enough value for money, equipment and feel that the Tiger 900 offers.
    Accessibility for shorter riders is also limited on the F850. They want riders to go down to the F750 which is worse. Plus the Chinese sourced engine offers little in ride feel. If I was seriously budget constrained to the middle weight class, I will choose the Tiger 900 any day even with its buzzy engine or go all out to the big R-GS. Certainly not the F series unless you want the BMW name plate or something to use like dual sport or light weight.
    The R series boxer engine is legendary and offers a lot. If you want the full BMW authentic experience, you need to spend that type of cash unfortunately.,

      The Tiger 900 isn't nearly as good as you make it out to be. I have ridden both and currently have a deposit on a gently used 2021 F850GS with Premium package. I could have bought any of several Tiger 900's but they didn't wow me and the comfort wasn't nearly as good on the BMW.
