You’re officially the best YT watch reviewer, period. Highly produced videos, great observations and commentary. Fantastic job. Now please stop it for the sake of my savings.
ok, so can i just say that in addition to the generally brilliant reviews, the luscious color schemes of your video backgrounds are seriously underrated.
You are right about PF nailing those details and staying true to their brand identity. Their sports watches just never quite wowed me as much as, maybe, a Czapek Antarctique does. But I'm glad manufacturers like PF are around and have their respective audiences, especially since some of their dressy pieces are simply stunning. Thanks for showcasing this watch; your tastefully executed videos are an accolade for every timepiece.
YAS! Came here for something different, stayed for an amazing watch. I'm really interested in Parmigiani Fleurier at the moment. This has only made me more interested! ;)
PF is a great brand! I tried on some of their watches in one of their official boutiques. I was close to buying a 1950's Tonda with a micro roter. Beautiful piece! In the end I did not buy any because I knew that I will fall out of love sooner or later because I was in quite a 'flipper' mood back then. And unfortunately PF doesn't hold value like many other true gems of Swiss watchmaking. Don't get me wrong, that's not the most important thing in the world if you are really deep down the rabbit hole. But for me it wouldn't have been a smart purchase. That said I really admire everyone wearing a PF! Even if I just met one single guy with a PF on his wrist....
I have never seen anybody wearing a PF, I have only seen discounted stock at grey’s for 30-40cts on the dollar.. which can be a good thing, but even if you could obtain this Tonda for 65% off list I would struggle to buy it. It’s too plain Jane for me and I rather get a Overseas instead..
Great video of a gorgeous time piece. Please us some more of the brushed finish meets polished close ups. The pushers are pure class and attention to detail. Thank you
Would really love to hear your thoughts on the Czapek Antarctique! Maybe you can get your hands on one of these in the future. Nice video as always. Regards
Yesterday I took delivery of a PF Tonda Hemispheres Dual Time in rose gold….OMG….fabulous watchmaking and criminally overlooked by so called experts! I like being one of the very few…my Rolexes are on their way out!
I saw a comment from from some eminent dignitary on Instagram that this was the most comfortable bracelet they had ever worn, but you didn't really mention that, except that it felt a little top heavy, so with that being said and the price, I might just have to settle for a rose engine for Valentines Day this year. Great review as always, and yes, that's why we keep coming here. For the unexpected.
It's interesting. Earlier today I was reading an article about this watch. The funny thing is that the article was suggested by Google. Finally a good suggestion 😁 Great vid! 👍🏻
So many ppl in the comments saying it is beautiful...I just do not get it. I am not a designer or anything close, but the dial, just make me feel uncomfortable to look at. Sorry for the negative comment, but a great quality video as usual.
Damn Bro, $31K!! That annual calendar you reviewed previously was nice. The two hander nice also. They’re well, yeah nice. So is you’re cardi btw, nice…
So far they did (do) parts for other companies, plus great watches, for collectors mostly. Now they make a turn, want a bigger piece in the market, thus the heavy marketing lately. As for this line, the chronos may be masterpieces technically but the three hand... clean big dial with minimal indicies, small plain logo (nothing else!) and a matched date at 6. Add the amazing texture and the bracelet... boom! A watch to watch at!
@@YoureTerrific Strange. Just asked Alex of WatchAdvisor a few days ago in his video where he visited Parmigiani manufacture and told me in the comments that it’s not real guillochage.
Another great presentation but then we expect that :) A superb piece for the discerning with deep pockets (not me), and a more interesting - and exclusive - choice than the usual Holy Trinity suspects. I wouldn't choose this one but a joy to see it here just the same.
No, you're wrong! You can watch WatchAdvisor's video on how the dial and case is made. The guilloche dial is CNC made.. as is the bezel. Unfortunately no traditionally engine turned guilloche nor hand knurled bezel.
Is it lucky? Today was kind of rough so I put on my lucky watch and it instantly got better. Funny how that works. No I love PF, I know PF and I know how hard they are to capture on photo or video, good job. Now my only question is at what point does Evan get tired of the parmesan cheese/ Italian food jokes?
Thank you for this very insightful review Evan! You nailed it...Parmigiani is A LOT for a few in the know...thanks for your appreciation of the Tonda PF Chronograph!
Great video, as usual. I really want to like this watch, but, I just don't. Now, I don't have to be upset that I don't have the money to buy one. Win, win!
The movement is gorgeous. The dial sort of looks like a Vincero or something off of Ali Express. There's too much negative space. The borderless date window looks unfinished.
Beautiful. It might just be that it “suffers” from being in that tight niche of being way to stylish (and expensive) to be a daily casual wearer while not fully satisfying the dressy/formal side either. Luxury problems, I know. But if you spend that much cash, it could still be a problem.
Does anyone know if this is hand machine guilloche or just machined. Seem to be seeing conflicting information. I thought all guilloche was hand turned or can it be fully done by machines automated now?
I am a fan but really feel it's difficult to love the execution, the mix between simplicity and too many details makes the design lose coherence, first while the dial is clean it didn't allow for a smaller case , the bezel also is overdesigned for no reason and the same for links design on the bracelet, some details need toning down to keep the theme of simple elegance present overall.
Sorry to be a party pooper, but the face of this watch and all the other ones of this line look generic to say the least. It really reminds me of a budget Orient chronograph, which actually is more interesting. The dial pattern isn't enough to save it from inducing total boredom and the date window is like they cut a random hole on the dial. Just awful. I am sure they are great watches from a technical and finishing point, but they are not attractive at all...
I love this watch, but by putting the Tonda in the same price range as the VC Overseas I would pick Overseas all day everyday. Also, Parmigiani doesn’t hold value nearly as well as other brands it is trying to compete with from an investment perspective. If this sold in the 10k-20k range I think it would do much better.
Sounds like you have no idea what kind of build quality you’re getting with PF. If a VC is a Rolls Royce then a PF is a Rolls Royce with all the bells and whistles. Know what you’re buying before you knock a retail price. If VC made this exact watch the exact same way (components, movement etc.) it would cost at least 40,000. This is 100% the best Chronograph available in a sports watch that’s available on the market. It’s not even a contest. Also…..you can’t buy these either unless you were dead first or know your retailer. So their sales for the TONDA PF line are not an issue. Go look at the secondary market This also wears much slimmer, smaller and gracefully than a VC overseas Chronograph. And if you’re buying watches for investments, then high horology is not for you. Just stick to the names

The Tonda PF collection just oozes sophistication. Great video of something off the beaten path.
I've always liked the tonda! It's very refined, yet modern. One of my grails for sure. Beautiful watch
YAS! Came here for something different, stayed for an amazing watch. I'm really interested in Parmigiani Fleurier at the moment. This has only made me more interested! ;)
The platinum split second chronograph is an insane watch... I’d love to get my hands on one of those.
Me too
Only just discovered this channel, but it's great. Looking forward to seeing more pieces away from the usual brands.
have to agree on this one -
Youre Terrific - you got the best camera works out of the bunch.
The movement looks more beautiful than the dial does...wonder if you can wear it inversed...

It will have close to no resale value, but that’s ok… right? Right?
The Tonda to me is "The" watch to buy second hand if your looking for a solid gold dress watch for a killer price.
Im in love with that column wheel display in the back!!
Great video of a gorgeous time piece. Please us some more of the brushed finish meets polished close ups. The pushers are pure class and attention to detail. Thank you
The cardi is looking sharp... and the video is as sharp as ever
Would really love to hear your thoughts on the Czapek Antarctique! Maybe you can get your hands on one of these in the future. Nice video as always. Regards
Absolutely gorgeous!! The blue Chrono is amazing looking.
Yesterday I took delivery of a PF Tonda Hemispheres Dual Time in rose gold….OMG….fabulous watchmaking and criminally overlooked by so called experts! I like being one of the very few…my Rolexes are on their way out!
Another great review. Good camera work and sense of humor.
Stunning watch, and great video work. Really appreciate your impressions and your humor. Sorry bud, but you're classier than you think. 😄

The most comfortable bracelet? No, not for me. But everyone's wrist is different.
Looks like a fashion watch to my eyes, at least from a distance
I agree. It sure is well made, but the dial looks rather boring.
The new formex field watch was just released. It would be awesome if you did a video on it, since you’ve already don’t a lot of formex already
Amazing. And how cool is the new GMT rattrappante? PF is really on another planet!
It doesn’t get any better than this! A dream for me
Thanks for the coverage of this superb brand. Can you review the 36mm Tonda (on a 6.5inch wrist). Thanks
What’s your opinion on this one or the Chronograph Annual Calendar you did few years ago.
It's interesting. Earlier today I was reading an article about this watch. The funny thing is that the article was suggested by Google. Finally a good suggestion 😁
Great vid! 👍🏻
Google is learning.
Is there a less pricy equivalent to Parmigiani Fleurier?
So many ppl in the comments saying it is beautiful...I just do not get it. I am not a designer or anything close, but the dial, just make me feel uncomfortable to look at. Sorry for the negative comment, but a great quality video as usual.
Thanks for this beautiful video , this is one of my grails. Just so well executed.
It really is.
This watch is just glorious
Not bad.
Great editing and great watch!
I'll take credit for the editing.
Can you shoot the watches little bit closer to the camera please ?
Perfection.
I love parmigiani and czapek watches both underrated!
Damn Bro, $31K!!
That annual calendar you reviewed previously was nice.
The two hander nice also.
They’re well, yeah nice.
So is you’re cardi btw, nice…
Awesome vid and review. Love your content and coverage of the in the know Brands…
31k ? What were they smoking ?
Money
Nobody pays full price for Parmigiani…discount of 30-50%, can be had.
If this came out in 1975 it would be in the same breath as Nautilus and Royal Oak and trading at 3x MSRP. Very cool.
So far they did (do) parts for other companies, plus great watches, for collectors mostly. Now they make a turn, want a bigger piece in the market, thus the heavy marketing lately. Like your comment… and i agree with everything u said.
Very interesting piece. Great Video as always!
Excellent review. For the record, I think I may be nothing to many people.
Welcome to the club.
The guillochage is not hand-turned with a guilloche machine. It’s CNC’ed which is teeeeeny tiiiiny bit disappointing.
For this dial Parmigiani clearly said they used a rose engine. www.hodinkee.com/articles/parmigiani-tonda-pf-collection
@@YoureTerrific Strange. Just asked Alex of WatchAdvisor a few days ago in his video where he visited Parmigiani manufacture and told me in the comments that it’s not real guillochage.
Excellent review. Succinct overview without getting too "down n dirty". Save that for a full on "month on the wrist" writeup. Cheers.
Almost spit out my cashews when you said the price. Woo!
Don't waste those cashews! You'll need the money.
Another great presentation but then we expect that :) A superb piece for the discerning with deep pockets (not me), and a more interesting - and exclusive - choice than the usual Holy Trinity suspects. I wouldn't choose this one but a joy to see it here just the same.
Nice one, yet again!!
Please review the bangalore watch company mach.1 2nd gen
Cracking review. Great channel. How did I miss this? Subbd. Thank you
Another great video!
Thanks
Absolutely stunning!
👍
Great review!
PF is next level.
one of my few criticisms of this watch, is that a chrono is a tool-watch by definition. Yet they use no lume. Otherwise, it is a wonderful design.
No, you're wrong! You can watch WatchAdvisor's video on how the dial and case is made. The guilloche dial is CNC made.. as is the bezel. Unfortunately no traditionally engine turned guilloche nor hand knurled bezel.

I was tired of them before they started.

My pleasure!
This is just amazing
To say that I'm excited for the P01 review is an under statement. My God in not ready for it 😂❤️
Yay, I'm first! Great video as always~
Thanks
Love everything about these.. except… the PF at the top. I think it messes up the balance and makes the bottom half of the dial too “heavy.”
Great looking watch 👍👍👍
Great video, as usual. I really want to like this watch, but, I just don't. Now, I don't have to be upset that I don't have the money to buy one. Win, win!
Very nice looking watch, must cost a bomb to get serviced!
We don't talk about that. 🤫
Damn bro you couldn't wait until I could afford one before making the video...
Apologies
Looks like an Omega Globemaster mixed with an Aqua Terra Chronograph
god i wish i could afford a Parmigiani. they're just so sweet
Start saving... everything.
Is it just me or is this very hard to read?
Your channel is indeed terrific! 👍
Thanks
The movement is gorgeous. The dial sort of looks like a Vincero or something off of Ali Express. There's too much negative space. The borderless date window looks unfinished.
I hear you.
I love their watches. I'd love to own one someday. I don't like how the name sounds like a dish from olive garden.
I think about pasta too, when I hear the name. Guess it’s because Parmigiani is my favorite cheese…lol
nice cardigan too, which i am more likely able to afford
Same
Not come across this brand before. Not my style, or budget, but a really interesting video as always.
бесконечно элегантные и вне времени.
Beautiful always liked there watches but not the price . Only because I can’t afford one 🤦🏻♂️
Beautiful. It might just be that it “suffers” from being in that tight niche of being way to stylish (and expensive) to be a daily casual wearer while not fully satisfying the dressy/formal side either. Luxury problems, I know. But if you spend that much cash, it could still be a problem.
Ive yet to see a watch in this channel that doesn't sit well on his wrists lmao
I feel like most watches are designed for wrists my size. I'm about average for a Europe-descended cis male.
Thirty

Squarely in the, “oh well” category as I give the stink eye to my Nomos…..
“Be better, you!!”
That’s no way to talk to a Nomos!
@@YoureTerrific 😂
They HAVE to change their name. I'm of Italian heritage, and when I hear Parmigiani all I can think of is cheese...
Doesn't prince Charles have a Tonda chrono? 🤔🧐
Yummy! I’ll take mine with eggplant over linguini.
I don't like chronographs but this one looks very good! "Checks price" Sad first world problem tears.
I’m sorry for your loss.
Not for me, but loved the video
i like parmigiani sprinkled on my pasta
Not hand guilloche maybe machine
Does anyone know if this is hand machine guilloche or just machined. Seem to be seeing conflicting information. I thought all guilloche was hand turned or can it be fully done by machines automated now?
31K for a steel watch.. This is getting quite ridiculous now
There are many from many brands.
@@YoureTerrific my point exactly. Starting to get ridiculous now.
Am I the only one who CANNOT see this watch brand and not always and immediately think of a chicken parmigiana 🐔🐔🐔🐔
I’m now in the know…with need for dough.
I hear that.
Not a fan of the watch but "terrific" video.:)
The Rolex Daytona in comparison is a melting iron
I am a fan but really feel it's difficult to love the execution, the mix between simplicity and too many details makes the design lose coherence, first while the dial is clean it didn't allow for a smaller case , the bezel also is overdesigned for no reason and the same for links design on the bracelet, some details need toning down to keep the theme of simple elegance present overall.
BHE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Glad someone noticed.
For a few in the know... and in the wallet :>
For sure.
Hawt. Same market price as the vulgar Daytona. Imagine.
Less, I believe.
Yes that comma is in the right place… sorry 😂
