Why would you create the spheres in any external software and not use the meshes build into the UE5 it self?

    Thanks, nice video!
I like to do simple modeling in the new unreal modeling tools (still in beta but usable). There you can also create a sphere with custom subdivisions.

you should make the light source snapped to the center of the sun, then make the light source all directions, then ad a rotation component to the earth so that it rotates around the sun. then add another rotation modifier to the moon so the it rotates around the earth.

What if we scale down the default atmosphere actor so it's to size for the earth sphere? is that possible? Would that allow for us to use more advanced atmosphere visuals like the volumetric clouds and fog?

Is that possible to do like a full solar system with celestial objects interacts with eachothers ?
And is it possible to do like in Star Citizen a full landscap detailled planet round shapped ?

Good tutorial. I was able to follow most things. My MI_MilkyWay was weird with the tiling and the emission so i put small numbers and it kinda worked. Also I dont know if UE4 has difference in lighting because my planets are completely lit up and have no darkside to them opposite to the sun. Thanks!

im assuming its a cosmetical moon and earth right... cuz no way you can make "walkable" eart in UE5 in 1:1 scale

Yeah this is just cosmetical, but at some point I don't see why not, you can theoretically do anything with hardware being your biggest limitation

How many people have Maya, I don't. Wish this tutorial was about the title, not a beginners guide to the EU interface and Maya, bummed that this didn't help me much but thanks anyways.

And first. He made the earth. And then he made the sun and the moon. and all was good in the universe.

Can you at least share your maya sphere? Beginners in unreal engine won’t have maya

You can use the sphere from UE, it has the same UVs so textures will work correctly
