The videos on TH-cam do not do this exhaust justice, it RUMBLES down the street, such a great sound and has a noticeable performance improvement imo, I noticed I am able to pull quicker in the 60+ mph range where as before with the stock exhaust, the bike took some time to build speed in the higher gears. Awesome product

It was already out even before the r7 was introduced. R7 is a faired mt07. They did not touched the engine. They just enhanced the suspension so basically any sc project, akra, yoshi products for mt07 is interchangeable for the r7

Cp4 sounds great but im not much of a high rev kinda guy. I'm a muscle car guy so I enjoy angry growly low bass sound. Cp4 does sound great at low - mid rpms but you're just wasting the bike if you ain't maxing it out and the top end noise of the cp4 is what kills it for me! Just not a fan. Cp2 all the way. I hope they make a 1250cc version for the same chasis.

i love the mt-07 TWIN sound aswell. Got the Akrapovic on there. Sounds so AGRESSIVE ! Had e MT-09 Aswell also Akra on it open. They sound so different and sweet in there own way.

So how in the hell is it a budget engine?

Did you find in your testing that the stock ECU was able to handle the extra airflow with a reasonable fuel:air ratio, or would I need to look into a controller? I just took delivery of my R7 today. Great machine that came around 10 years after it could have. Been riding superbike twins for about 20 years, and I've wanted a more modern liter or middle weight twin since about 2011 or so. The R7 is the answer to this neglected segment of affordable supersport twins. Well done. Seriously... Well done Yamaha.

It doesn’t. It sounds closer to a Harley Davidson V-twin mixed with a Ducati L-twin. The R6 is gutless on the street, it’s really just a track bike because it lacks low and midrange torque which would be useful around town.
Does this require an ECU flash or power commander or will it be fine as is ?
