    Something I forgot… clean the whole exhaust after installation with alcohol to remove any grease or finger prints once they burn in they stay forever!!!

    Thank you again. I installed my Yoshimura R-77 Exhaust on my 2023 Yamaha R7 yesterday using your video as a guide. It looks and sounds great. It also does seem a little faster to me. The only issue I faced when installing it was placement of the hitch that holds the pipe on the bottom of the bike. I actually had to look at the PDF online instructions, until that point I had been relying on your video for the entire install. (Yea, I probably should have done that first.) And it was the hardest part of the install for me. It was a little tough getting it in there, but well worth the effort and time saved removing all the fairing. Even with that self imposed snafu, the install went well and relatively quickly. I just wanted to acknowledge you for making this install really easy for me. Even the Anti-Seize trick was incredibly valuable. Keep up the great work!!

    I finally got mine installed. I couldn't have installed the exhaust gasket/washer without using anti seize to hold it in place. Thanks for that tip! The rubber strap on the hanger fought me for the longest time until I realized I had it on wrong. Pausing your video at 11:15 was a huge help there. Also using dish soap to lube it helped me wiggle it into position on the muffler and put the hanger bolt through without the rubber catching and coming off the groove.
    Initial thoughts are that it honestly seems faster! Most likely from the Yoshi being about 10 pounds lighter than the factory exhaust, not from a power gain.
    I love the sound at idle and up to about 3,000rpm after that it goes from deep rumble to obnoxious and raspy IMO especially if you are full throttle. This is even with the db killer in. Very easy to alert others of your presence with just a throttle blip though.

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice man, glad it helped and the dish soap is a 👌🏼 idea! I agree it seemed faster and really to narrow it it, I felt like it had more power lower in the rpm range. I’m glad the vid helped with the install, 🍻

    Another amazing guide! Just installed the R-77 with the baffle on today and it's already crazy loud, can't imagine taking the baffle out. Removing the 2 screws that holds the rear brakes definitely helps with installing the exhaust can and that was the most painful part of the process.
    On the other hand, I actually bought some Apex riser clip-ons and was hoping you could put together a video on how to install them!

    • @ScoutsOut
      @ScoutsOut  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      thanks bro I really appreciate! Ive been wanting to get a set of clip ons just been spending too much money lately lol. I did make a video changing out the fork shock oil which would be the hardest part of installing clip ons if you want to use that to help you out. here is the vid th-cam.com/video/ZgiP1LREf1o/w-d-xo.html

    Just installed mine yesterday following this video and absolutely love the sound. I did the bolt at 11:07 the same way. Trying to fit it the other way was a pain in the a$$! Had to stretch my headers slightly also which took a little strength. I made the same mistake you did when you installed the DB killer and dropped the damn washer inside the can 😂.
    Took me longer than I thought to get it all together and farings put back on but love the end result!

    I just bought this system for my 2018 CBR650F and just now noticed something. There are no springs to attach at the top of the header flanges. Just bolt them down and you're good. That's awesome! Those springs up there can be a pain in the butt to install. I opted for this one since Two Brothers Racing were waiting on a part and they couldn't tell me when it was going to be back in stock. I liked the TBR system because the exhaust can sits under the bike, as where this one comes up the side along the swingarm.

      Thanks, as long as you take it out of the brackets it can be twisted up just fine with no damage. If you left the wire in the two metal brackets that are holding the wire in place and spun it as much as required to get it out yes it would damage it. If you don’t feel comfortable doing that I showed where the connector is, you can completely remove it. 🍻

      Definitely, you don’t need to remove the left side but to remove the middle piece of fairing at the bottom you kind of half too. I was more worried Abbott the exhaust dropping on it and possibly breaking it, I think it is worth the extra removal.
