- Dylan and I get out on the Noire river Quebec for a little paddling and fishing lesson. Great to be out with my younger brother and fun to watch him bungle down some rapids.

This is the most underrated channel on YT. Unlike many of the other outdoor/survival/adventure channels, Xander isn't a former navy seal or some self proclaimed expert on everything.... He is relatable and down to earth. I love it. One of my favorite new channels.

After watching your videos for years, I was finally able to book my first canoe trip with some friends this summer; 7 days down the Noire River. I remember rewatching all of your videos to soak up as much paddling knowledge as possible and wishing you had one about the Noire so I could get some beta. How surreal to see you on that river, running the same rapids and camping at the same sites just a month after we were there!
Seeing you with your brothers and dad makes me recognize how much I miss my own father, love my son, and regret being an only child. It seems that they are not just family, but truly your "tribe". You are blessed to have so much love in your life. But I suspect you already realized that...

What an awesome trip with your brother . He did awesome with the help and encouragement from a great teacher . Xander , your channel has been incredibly uplifting and an inspiration for me over the past 2 years , while overcoming many years of addiction. Ill have 2 years sober in november , and ive found myself getting back to the life i love , outdoors , in the woods , on the water and just regaining a sense of purpose. And you my friend contributed to all of that in a bigger way than youl ever know ! Thank you
Xander, happy to see your adventures again. Respect for your effort to keep walking or canoeing back and forth to put the Gopro down again. Worthy of National Geographic as far as I'm concerned. Discovered your videos back in the day and how you let us enjoy the beautiful unspoilt Canadian nature. I live in the Netherlands where we don't have this. I watch it every day before going to sleep. Hey xander just wanted to say, whether you see this or not, that i truly appreciate how many people you have reached and helped with your videos, you're just a down to earth, fun loving guy, having come from a similar backround in regards to addiction, your videos for the year ive watched you have helped as ive moved past my destructive past, ive just started to get into camping, more glamping than anything but its so far ive just appreciated the connection with nature, i am all the way in australia so different landscapes but the connection is still the same,

This one hit home… I’ve been watching you for a while now and it’s actually wild how much you remind me of my older brother… plus my names Dillon and I’m a candy head too. 😂. He struggles with alcoholism and I spent most of my life in foster care. I’m 27 now but I hope one day me and him get to have an experience like you and your brother. We don’t talk much these days but I send him your videos hoping he can see what life has to offer for someone with a relatable life experience. Life’s been a roller coaster for him. Thank you. Your videos help me in many more ways than I had imagined the first time I watched you. Even just ust did 4 days on a remote island bc of you and it was life changing 👌🏼 keep doing you!

It seems so strange to me that two brothers who are such skilled outdoorsmen and so comfortable on the water, who both think nothing of long solo trips in the wilderness and down rough rivers , would have siblings that are absolute greenhorn newbies to the experience.
