The simple fix to let people who just want to sit back and have the hand-holding swinging experience from the first two games have a dedicated “classic” swinging mode, and then let skillful players who want a more rewarding and realistic/physics based system choose a “realistic” mode would be the best of both worlds. In the perfect world, the best webswinging system would incorporate the fast paced, physics, heavy momentum driven side of swinging, and having it so that more inputs are required to do things such as say wall running so that if you don’t time your presses or execute a button you will have consequences, and it also helps you feel in control. Combined with more elastic and present webs themselves that can bend and contourt depending on position and it will allow you to do things like make a super tight web when near the ground so that you build a huge amount of upwards speed after, and a perfect way to do this is to incorporate Fortnite’s manual web placement system to allow us to choose where to shoot a web.
