Anyone opted for a new axel instead of wheel adapters? Anyone able to seat tires without taking them to the tire shop?? Thanks for following this build. Please comment below, like, and SUBSCRIBE!!
What were the Axle measurements and more importantly, where did you purchase the new axle? I have 2 bantam trailers and I want to go the route of new axles instead of wheel adapters. I want to run the first trailer behind my YJ with same lug/hub ratio and the other trailer behind my son's JK to match his lug/hub ratios. Awesome build, guys. Loving your journey.
David - we ordered ours from compact camping store. They do custom axles. It took about 4 weeks to get it, but both times we’ve used them the axles we’re perfect. I think it was $300-$400. They tell you exactly what to measure as well.
Thanks a 1/4 ton for sharing your build. I have the same trailer and hoping you might share the axle measurements and ordering details. I would really like to keep my hand break and appreciate any advice or thoughts. Excellent build btw.

@YThatesthe1stamendment Fgoogle We've watched other people (on YT) do that...but were not brave enough to try it ourselves!
Hahaha, "do you even lift bro?" 🤣😂💪
Only AXEL CURLS!!! 😂
your new axle is nice but now you have no breaks!
Smart move with bed liner on the undercarriage 👍 Considering that on underside of my truck & a rattle can to blacken my rims 😜
The nice thing about it is that it's really easy to touch up if needed.
Trailer is looking awesome! Can’t wait to see it finished!
Thanks Matt! Taking it in a test run this weekend!
Can’t wait until Hicks is all done. Great video Will.
He’s getting close! Taking him out on a test run this weekend.
@@Venture2Roam Oh that’s exciting
Perfect timing to release a video like this! Great stuff man
Thanks Ron!!! This is a super fun project. More episodes coming soon!
Ahh dude, your watch 🤦 Glad the axle measured out right though!
The watch was totally toast. The screen fell off just after I took that shot. Oh well!
I only do 12 oz. curls... :D
LOL.

What were your center spring to center spring bolt measurements? Also how wide did you make your axle flange to flange face?
I honestly don’t remember, but the folks at compact camping walked us through it.
What did you do with original axle? I have a T3-C and have kept it with 5x5.5 /16 wheels to match my 1946 CJ2A.
I think we still have it laying around somewhere.
@@Venture2Roam how much did you pay for replacement axle? I’ll match invoice price and pay shipping.
Would you sell axle?
