- Hello Adventurers, Travelers and Friends! If you have not made your way down to the cozy getaway that is Marco Island, I highly recommend you take the chance to do so. It is a great place to get outdoors, spend time with family and relax. Since I have family living on the island, I'm often there and I am so excited to share some of my favorite places with you. This video brought back a flood of nostalgic memories. I resided on Marco for some eight years after sailing in and meeting who would later become my cherished life companion. She claimed that she was an original pilgrim who negotiated with the Caloosahachie Indians. Sadly she passed away some 3 1/2 years ago. Mary Neale, R.N. 1952-2020.

Amazing Review!!!! Five stars on your End for painting the perfect picture to a perfect Honeymoon come this July. I pretty much will be using this video as an itinerary . I can't wait to show my Fiance this video. Thank you again for putting this together! We will be staying in the JWB Marriot and I am more than pleased with the Tranquility and Peacefulness the island has to offer. I just left Hollywood, Fl. and althought its beautiful in its own right . It is VERY busy and loud so looking foward to marco midnight as we will be in bed around 9 sleeping by 10 and up for coffee around 530 6 am!!! THANKYOU AGAIN

I live on Marco island 🏝 so this is amazing I can tell you I’ll never leave Marco island I live on the water dolphins 🐬 in my backyard it’s heaven

i went there in july and we rented a house on the canal with a pool and it was the best! i miss it so much! also go to mangos dockside bistro they have reaaally good food!

Thanks for the tips ! Went to Lee Be's it nice ! Snooks was next door with live music but really crowded and 50min wait. Went back next day for lunch. But Sweet Annie's was my favorite. Omg do they put crack in there ice cream 🍨😂😂😂😂 ? Cause I went back 3 days straight! Soooo many flavors but! I'm a chocolate chip guy. Had an amazing time! Thanks again !💪🏾😎🏝

I'm glad that I stumbled on this video. My family and I are going to Marco in April. We have visited several times before, but only for a day, as we normally stay up north in Ft Myers or Sarasota. This year will be the first time that we will be staying on Marco for the whole vacation. Looking very forward to it. You have shown a lot of places that I have never seen or heard of. We will definitely try some of your suggestions out..... One questions... how is the whole mask thing on Marco? We don't really want to be muzzled while on vacation.
Well if you are outside, like on the beach, generally people try to socially distance, but they don’t wear masks. However most business and restaurants either request or require masks. It’s very similar to most places.

If you just go to South Beach, the Dolphins are there almost every day. My wife and I have went on a Jet Ski Tour with Captain Ron twice, and it was great but they tend to be pretty expensive. Have to try and eat at Joey's. Anyone that would like to sit down and listen to some good music, have dinner, and watch the sunset on the water, visit the Snook Inn. My wife and I have wanted to go to Stan's, but every year we go, they are closed for the off season. Hopefully one day we will make it.
Yes the Jet Ski tours certainly aren’t cheap, but I do enjoy them. Thanks for the advice on south beach. There are a lot of good places to eat on the island - I feel like even thought I’ve been to many there are always more I haven’t tried yet.
Great vid! Just one suggestion. You might want to add chapters for each of your venues. Makes it easy for viewers to find specific venues and gives you better ranking on TH-cam.

Do you have any suggestions for going around the beginning of October?
October is a great time since it the weather isn't too crazy balmy and yet not too cool. I'd say watch the weather and try to do some fun things outside. I have some videos on tours like Jet Ski or boat tours that you might enjoy :)
Great review of Marco Island! We love it. Have you been to Stan's, Jack's or Snook Inn? Those are some of our favorites. We love Island Gypsy too! Rented a boat there! I haven't been to Lee Be Fish but it's on my list now. Thanks for introducing me to new places!!

We loved our visit to Marco island. Is there any alligator concern while kayaking in Marco?
I haven't seen any on Marco Island, but it is always good to be aware of your surroundings.

I’m so interested in going to Marco island, but I see it’s close to the Everglades. Is there more alligators and snakes there as opposed to other parts of Florida?
It is near the Everglades but on the island I’ve never come across a stray alligator. I would say it’s about the same as most parts of Florida.

A couple of these items work great with toddlers- like Mackle park, Tiger Tail beach and Sweet Annie’s ice cream

You should be going to Orlando or anywhere in the Tampa Bay Area if your a tourist.

No golf courses?
I know they have the club on the island with golfing and even a mini golf course, but I don't really golf myself, so I can't speak to the experience. Next time I make a video on Marco I will have my Dad give his opinion since he golfs regularly.
Private golf course only. Have to go over to Naples for golf.
I’m from Marco Island. Here’s my list:
Get yourself a fishing license from the sunshine ace hardware first and foremost. Cops and FFW won’t be kind to you tourists. Avoid Sand-Bar, it’s a tourist trap and will sell you overpriced beer with a side of uneducated populism. Go to Nacho Mama’s, Margarita’s, Sunset Grille, Snook Inn, Crazy Flamingo’s, The Speakeasy and Goodland.
You want to go fishing for sure, but avoid Keewaydin, unless you wanna be greeted by a thousand tourists and drunk locals. Head up into the Mangroves nearing Naples. and though it may not be on MARCO go to Island Gypsy on Isle of Capri. Tell em Joe Byrne sent you. Get a big ole Crazy Cuban Rum Cocktail and a shot of house tequila and tip them well. And for the love of god, don’t turn your hazards on when it rains. It’s raining. We know. we can see you without your hazards. And last, come out of season. Visit Cocomo’s. Get a Publix Sub. Go to Blue Mangrove Gallery, and get a drink down at Rose River Marina, and the Marco Island Brewery.
Most importantly Have a good time and make your own path. Just steer clear of the ridiculous crap. Marco is so much more than a tourist destination. Check out Indian Hill on the south of the island Highlands while you’re here. Respect our island. Please. Respect it’s history.

Food at the lee bee fish is not that good 😌, I tried was not a good experience and also the customer service is bad. Very sad.

I was going to go to Marco Island, but after watching this video it appears to be boring.
It can be slow paced. Although it does have a bar scene and resorts. If you are looking for a fast paced environment, I’d suggest Miami or Orlando as places to visit in Florida.
