I totally agree that Sinn needs to mix in some brushing for certain models. I'm eyeing the 104 and the main thing that's preventing me from pulling the trigger has been the lack of brushing. Fantastic pickup!
In finishing any watch it’s always better to have contrasting finishes, the brushed & polished combo makes this watch pop out beauty! Recently acquired a bunch of straps which I thought would a child’s play in choice of color, the opposite was the result due to mfgr. limited choice in lug width. This Sinn watch is great looking😍, which if not mistaking has a movement equivalent to ETA ´s 7765(vintage hand wound) movement size. Happy New Year & all the best!👍❤️👌
Hi Chowda, just a thought, Guinand give you a choice of finishes. They're also a Frankfurt based brand and their chronographs tend to be slimmer than equivalent Sinn models while offering similar water resistance.
Hi Peter, a couple of points need a mention here: I absolutely agree that Define Watches need a financial health check attached to their website: I'm glad that they don't have a store in England or I'd have gone bankrupt years ago... Guinand offer a choice of finishes, and their watches are excellent and getting better all the time. Finally, I don't think that it's possible to have a review of Sinn watches: one just shares the love because they are SO good... Regarding the Seiko story, Karma works. God bless you my friend. Happy New Year Peter and guys, from wet, cold and miserable England.
Whoa! have never heard of a store offering brushing service to a customer on the spot for a watch purchase. That’s fantastic, may be the ADs here is US should offer that if not already offered!
Hi Peter, that was me that walked in the shop! Was nice meeting you and having a chat. You are right about Define being dangerous...I ended up returning a day later and picking up the Sinn 156.1 LE. The 103 St Ty Hd is still one of my favourites. I have it on a Sinn deployant clasp now and just love everything about it. I never get sick of looking at it. Looks awesome brushed, and good to know they offer that service. I hope you continue to enjoy it as much as I do mine! Cheers, Adam
Hey Adam, thanks for being partly responsible for emptying my wallet :) I gotta say, when I saw the 103 St Ty Hd on your wrist I knew that watch was calling me. Also wonderful meeting you and chatting to you. I am planning a trip back to Define shortly...the advice I was given was to leave the credit card at home...😂 Cheers
Sinn and Zenith. My two favourite brands. I've got one of each but I need more Sinns. And maybe a Fortis Official Cosmonaut Chrono. That looks fantastic, Peter.
Congrats on the new watch (it’s stunning) but sorry to hear about your friend. And I think we all like the brush finishing better! If this is how your year starts, I cannot wait to see how it finishes! Congrats again.
I love Sinn. This one was not doing it for me until I saw it on the off white strap. The watch looks great on bracelet as well. That is awesome that you were able to get it brushed.
Man is my wallet lucky that shop is at the other end of the world. … if only I wasn’t going to Frankfurt soon 😬 🙈 😂 Happy New Year to you too! And congratulations, what a fine watch that is, enjoy! Thanks for all these vids.
What a lovely gesture to your sick friend Pete. It's great to be able to share the passion. I always say the best whisky is one you can share with someone, same goes for watches it seems :)
Wow! Love it. Had been thinking about their navitimer, but am knee deep in Newman nostalgia. I just got the new Nivada ChronoSport numbered edition. This is def on my radar-if I can save up before they are gone! Congrats! And thanks for sharing the story. PS I love the SS bracelet on it.
Absolutely stunning piece. I saw this online, funnily enough on definewatches as well, definitely one of the standouts from Sinn. Will absolutely be picking one up in the future!
I feel so fortunate to catch this video the day before mine is supposed to be delivered. I hope I love mine as much as you love yours! Congrats, Peter!
Happy New Year, Pete. Congratulations on your new, beautiful Sinn watch. Brushed is the way to go, and the red strap 🔥 You're a one of a kind my friend. God bless.
As you know I love German watches, especially when it comes to Sinn’s, so congrats on your new acquisition. Looks fantastic now it’s brushed and that bracelet looks the business. Take care and I hope 2025 brings you lots of love and happiness brother 🙏🏻
Happy New Year! And congratulations on another Sinn in the collection. One of the best built and detailed watch makers I've had the pleasure to own. I purchased a 104 I St Sa A a couple years ago on an H link. I had the same thought on it having a brushed case, but was hesitant to have it done. Rethinking it now. They did a great job on yours with the polished chamfers, really mates well with the H link so much better. Cheers
I know you didn’t explain on the Seiko leaving the collection for praises but still, that’s an awesome way to bless a friend who’s into watch collecting as well. Hope I can one day do that to a close friend of mine as well
I just popped in to say that Intro music (and montage) is very satisfying. I clicked away to start up some work software whilst it was playing and felt myself rushing back so I wouldn't miss the visuals. Cool watch, mate, and really impressive how your shop gave it the selective brushed finish. Ti looks fantastic when polished/brushed properly, not just sandblasted. Props to Sinn for that design, yet again on your channel you've featured one that hits it out the park with legibility/visibility at a glance. Looking forward to the full review.
Congrats with a fantastic watch - WOW 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪👍 Im actually watching this video, wearing a "distant cousin" of the Sinn 103 chronographs: a Guinand GMT chrono. Love this brand, that was owned by Helmuth Sinn, after he sold Sinn. But Guinand dont have a manual wind yet, so this really is what I have been on "the hunt" for. Hmmmm.....☺️👍
Bought a handwound Sinn 103 St Hd in the early nineties and wear the sh** out of this thing ever since. I built a house with it and rode thousands of kilometers with it on my mountain bike, my dirt bike and my intensively vibrating vintage BMW. Never missed a beat and had three or four services so far. Even the acrylic crystal is still the first. These Sinn 103 are tough as nails. Congrats to this excellent choice and happy new year. Edit: mine looks somehow brushed as well. 😅
Happy New Year mate! You started with a banger, I see. Love the watch and love all the options taken, especially the brushed work on the case, very cool. Next one at Noosa will be me, just hope my marriage survives my potential sin(n)s… 😅
Great video & really good purchase. I’ve got a shop at Nelson Bay, that I always go in to tyre kick(so to speak). Go up there for a holiday & last 3 years, come away with an Adina watch. Can’t help it, as I’m a fan of their watches. Driving the missus mad. Can’t wait till your next review.

Happy new year brother. Finally the mystery is revealed! Really glad this purchase prompted the gift to your friend who I’m sure could do with his spirits being lifted, hope he comes good. Totally know what you mean about going into Peter & Lydia’s “Aladdin’s cave” of a shop very very dangerous, that’s happened to me more than onec😂 That red strap sets the watch off to a tee for weekends then black for weekdays? Very versatile piece & lovely vintage vibes. Take care
Aladdins cave for sure.. Maybe we need to meet up one day and go shopping together...I am sure our wives will be pleased 😂 Cheers Curt, happy new year brother
@ I’ll need to save up or get Peter to black out the Habring & Dornbluth display cabinets😂 I think both our wives are far too accommodating for our own good!
Great watch, great video! I've just ordered a Habring from Define. About 4-6 months wait which suits me and increases the anticipation. Lucky I live in Melbourne and don't visit regularly!

Absolutely stunning Pete!! Man I love that Red curved end rubber strap! When I first began to collect higher end watches, Chronographs were the only types of watches I would buy for probably the first 5 years. Congrats on a fine looking timepiece. Great taste!!! First class!
I totally agree that Sinn needs to mix in some brushing for certain models. I'm eyeing the 104 and the main thing that's preventing me from pulling the trigger has been the lack of brushing. Fantastic pickup!
Yes! They offer matte-finished 104s. I don’t understand why they don’t just brush them out…
In finishing any watch it’s always better to have contrasting finishes, the brushed & polished combo makes this watch pop out beauty!
I love Sinn. But, more matte aka bead blasted (or whatever). More contrast. The main 104 is polished everywhere.
Hi Chowda, just a thought, Guinand give you a choice of finishes. They're also a Frankfurt based brand and their chronographs tend to be slimmer than equivalent Sinn models while offering similar water resistance.

I really respect your authenticity and honesty. Thanks Pete. Always great videos.
Thanks Philip 🙏
Super sharp. Great pick up. 😊 A wonderful gesture to your friend. Given with the right heart. I'll be praying for your friend.
He is a very good man and doesn't deserve the hardship he is going through unfortunately, be well Jon 🙏
I enjoyed the story and the new watch immensely, Peter. Thank you for sharing this with us, and blessings to you and your family in 2025.
Thanks for another well done video - and yes, we do listen ;-) Cheers from #sinncity and all the best for 2025!
👌
That brushing took it to a whole new level in my opinion. Sinn makes some incredible watches.
You're a good man. I felt your every sincere pure word. Much respect. Making a difference is why we exist.
Life it too short to be anything but authentic , I learnt that a long time ago 🙏
Hi Peter, that was me that walked in the shop! Was nice meeting you and having a chat. You are right about Define being dangerous...I ended up returning a day later and picking up the Sinn 156.1 LE.

Pete, this is an amazing watch! I have always had a soft spot for Sinn, never owned one though. Thanks for making me want one even more ;)
Next time we catch up I will show you this one, its a real beauty 🔥
Congratulations on that beautiful new Sinn! Nice of you to gift the Tuna as well.
You a great man Peter....good story, beautiful watch...as aways i totally enjoy your channel...Cheers and God bless you
🙏
Congrats Peter. It is vital to check one’s strength in difficult conditions so… I wish you many come backs to that very store :)
Great story and another great watch. All success to you in 2025 Pete
Thanks, you too!
Beautiful watch. The strap combos you came up with are stellar. Congratulations Peter.
cheers David, I think I will be experimenting for a while with straps on this as it takes them well 😊
Happy New Year to you!
“The most dangerous shop” 😂 … I think we can all relate.
Good for you my friend 😅👍🏼
Part the enjoyment in this hobby Francois, we are all very similar as enthusiasts 😊😂
I’m a big fan of the brand and this video only reinforces that feeling. Congrats on adding another winner to your collection!
that’s a beauty… i like the red rubber on it..
Just lovely! And not oversized like the trend. 40mm is ideal for a classic watch.
Yeah Pete, that is rather a nice piece to start the new year with. Might be hard to top that one mate. Congrats and happy new year!
Nice watch, I liked the white sailcloth and rubber strap best!
Sinn and Zenith. My two favourite brands. I've got one of each but I need more Sinns. And maybe a Fortis Official Cosmonaut Chrono. That looks fantastic, Peter.
I love it on bracelet, and brushed makes it better.
I like the way this watch lends itself to a variety of straps and that lovely bracelet. Beautiful.
Congrats on the new watch (it’s stunning) but sorry to hear about your friend. And I think we all like the brush finishing better! If this is how your year starts, I cannot wait to see how it finishes! Congrats again.

Feels like that sandstone Artem strap is an ideal visual match for this 👍

My pleasure 😇
i never considered a sinn before until i watched this video, nice looking piece, good find bro
It is the Sinn that made me buy 5 more! I particularly liked that you brushed it and that you put other straps on it!!
Nice, reminds me of the Timex Q I just picked up.
What a lovely gesture to your sick friend Pete. It's great to be able to share the passion.
I always say the best whisky is one you can share with someone, same goes for watches it seems :)
Absolutely 👍
Love it!! Red looks great, black looks fab. But the brushing effect is a fantastic call Peter. Keep up the great work on the channel.
👌🤙🏼
Congratulations, wear it in health 😊 and yes it looks perfect on the red strap
Congrats on the Sinn, they're just extremely well made!

With The Red Band, it's a Winning Combo!

Fantastic looking watch - thanks for sharing.
You’re most welcome Steve, thanks for watching

Beautiful watch, Pete. Reminds me of the Breitling AVI Mosquito.
Yes another good looker 👍
Congrats Pete. Beautiful watch. Love the video and you’re overall perspective I was looking forward to your videos.
Absolutely stunning piece. I saw this online, funnily enough on definewatches as well, definitely one of the standouts from Sinn. Will absolutely be picking one up in the future!
thanks for sharing. It really reconfirms my high opinion of Sinn's desirable points of difference. God bless
Thanks for the share Peter! This just became a front runner on my list for first mechanical chronograph
What a beauty! Does absolutely everything you would want from a watch!
Happy New Year Peter! I'm delighted you are starting the new year with a new watch.
Cheers and Happy New Year to you too 👍
I feel so fortunate to catch this video the day before mine is supposed to be delivered. I hope I love mine as much as you love yours! Congrats, Peter!
Thanks for watching, I hope you love yours as much as I love mine!
A lovely looking watch. For a chronograph the screen doesn't look overcrowded. Nice one!
Good spacing and vintage feel coming off that dial for sure 👍
Happy New Year, Pete. Congratulations on your new, beautiful Sinn watch. Brushed is the way to go, and the red strap 🔥
You're a one of a kind my friend. God bless.

A HUGE Happy Birthday to you Tony...I also hope that 2025 brings a much better year than last 🙏
Nice watch Pete! I might have to take a page out of your notebook and have my Military Type IV brushed ( it is also a 103 variant with polished case).

Nice watch Peter! Congratulations . Interested to hear the follow up .

Great piece! I love the brand... time to get another model...
Visited Define Watches for the first time last week and as a result I can see a Sinn for my next purchase. Fantastic looking watch.
Cant go wrong with this brand IMO 👍
Bought a handwound Sinn 103 St Hd in the early nineties and wear the sh** out of this thing ever since. @PeterKotsa , I sent you a insta message.
Love that 103 . Beautiful watch and they thinned it out with the manual wind. Love My Sinn 256 with steel bezel
Yeah they really nailed it with this
This is probably the perfect watch😍. I love it

Happy 2025 Brother !!!! The best is yet to come !!

Very cool chrono and Happy New Year to you and yours! 🙂
Cheers and the same to you 🙂
Super watch Peter. The black strap looks ++
I think so too...I love this watch on black leather or black Artem, looks very cool
I just bought the Sinn U50, and these chronographs made me hesitate for a moment, but they felt slightly more retro and shiny than I prefer :)
Great purchase. I love that you can get a polished watch brushed. I’ll keep that in mind when I’m able to buy a Sinn.
Yeah they do a great job!
Happy New Year Peter !!!
That's a great watch Pete! All the best is 2025!

Happy New Year, Pete; thank you for sharing the story and the journey.

Great video & really good purchase. I’ve got a shop at Nelson Bay, that I always go in to tyre kick(so to speak).
Go up there for a holiday & last 3 years, come away with an Adina watch. Can’t help it, as I’m a fan of their watches.

Congratulations on the new watch. I like that it is handwound and date free.
One of the big selling features for me too 👍
I love that acrylic crystal and the red strap really helps the watch pop.
Agreed 👍
I love me some Sinn action. Wearing the UX and got a U50 in the collection. Looking forward to more innovation in 2025 from Sinn.
Congrats! As a German in AUS I have a Sinn too, but only one I can get serviced here, no Sinn BS tech. I had UXs, U2, 104, EZM and all the stuff back in Frankfurt, it was already PITA to get them serviced there, here its a nightmare.
