This is the best list of microbrand watches I have seen anyone on TH-cam do. All high quality and all very reasonably priced for what you get out of them. Great styling and quality bravo! Keep up the great work. Out of 30 plus other people I follow your selection of watches and brands is by far the best. Hell of a job!
Thank you kindly for featuring us, PK. We're very proud of what we've been able to achieve over the last five plus years, and thrilled to receive recognition from the watch community. With the Mandala Mk3 coming very soon we have some great stuff in store for the future!
I have a Maen Hudson Honeycomb, 200m WR, 12h bezel, sellita movement, retro skin diver style. The quality is superb, looks like a 2000-3000 eur watch, and it´s one of the most versatile watch I ever seen
Without any unnecessary flattery, a positive and passionate vision of beautiful watches, which you, Mr. Peter Kotsa, share in a sincere and motivating way. I regularly discover watchmaking micro-brands that perfectly illustrate the diversity that characterizes the world of watches. It is always an unfailing pleasure, despite their inaccessibility sometimes...often!
Thanks for this review Peter! A great summary of some of the best new and "established" microbrands. It seems that our watch tastes and opinions regarding quality are crazy similar. As an example, my bronze AD8 (I have the blue one) is also one of my favorite watches, and the patina it's developed during the past year looks great.
I have a Wise in my collection because of your first videos and love it. This brand should be on everyone’s radar. Farer is another to keep an eye on. Thanks Peter. Great video.
Happy to hear you mention Draken. I LOVE my Tugela and am wearing it now. It was the watch that "got me back to buying watches". I was satisfied with my collection and had decided to stop buying watches ... until I saw the blue Tugela. The owner is excellent and wonderful to deal with. If I did not already have a Type A and B Flieger, I would have purchased the newer Peregrine.
Not seen that Ocean Orbit before, nice looking watch bro. Great list of micro’s, definitely value for the asking prices, especially for me the RZE, that’s the one I regret letting go the most 😢 Love the new video style brother, great to see your smiling face
What a terrific almost-year end review Peter. Nice to see those watches showcased together. I bought a Henry Archer based on your review and have been very happy with it. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing these great micro brands, Peter. Can’t wait to see the next Tusenö. Although it’s now sold out, I particularly loved their “Windseeker” (Orange dial was fantastic) Hope all the best for you in the new year Peter.
Nice video covering all the bases!!! For me, the one brand I most like is the Pitzman with its Pitzman III Chronograph that has the Seiko 8R48 movement. It is a steal for the price and full of features. Mine is running at +3 sec/day, and it is on my left wrist 24/7/365. Excellent Quality and a Work Horse!!!
Hi Peter, I discovered and appreciated these brands partly thanks to you, Kickstarter and some watch blogs. I like the fact that I get value for my money. This year, I was lucky enough to be contacted by Helm to be able to buy a Vanuatu and a Komodo. Their quality-price ratio is unbeatable in my opinion. The quality of manufacture, the look, the price of micro-brands is breathtaking. Often. Thank you for making us appreciate them more. Happy holidays cher ami. And to everyone of course. 😉🥂
Love my OTO Lhotse. Am looking forward to what they come out with next. I was close to getting a Tuseno Shellback. I'm looking forward to that new piece you have of theirs! Henry Archer is great too. My only criticism of my Henry Archer is that they over-polished the crown. Even without sweaty hands it's hard to turn that thing. If they could put on a crown that felt like my Christopher Ward Sealander or Lhotse, it would be a winner. The microbrand space is really heating up. Good times.
I really like the direction Beaucroft (a UK microbrand) are going in. Although they have only been around for a short time, each watch seems to get better.
That Heinrich is a really interesting piece. The Bezel with the visible screws, the baton indices, the Swords shaped hands and brushed polishing on the bezel give me sporty vibes with a hint of sophistication. I like it but I dont know why but the beads of rice feels out of the place. It looks right at home on a rubber strap hahaha
Nice on Peter. A couple of other micro brands I’ve not seen on your channel I would be interested to see your thoughts on and which you might also like, Halios (Canadian) and Farer (British).👍
Isn't it great to have such a variety of watches from micro brands that were unheard of 10 years ago. Some interesting Japanese micro brands are emerging which would be great to learn about. Well done.
Thanks for the nice overview, I feel there would have been space for a top 10 list, too. Well deserved top spots here, maybe I would have swapped one of them with Baltic, I have an Hermétique with brown dial and love it. I have the same Adamascus with bronze case and green strap, looks like mine has been aging for a bit longer, it is my first and possibly only ever bronze watch and the quality is exceptional for that price, I would say Wise is the microbrand where I think you get the most bang for your buck. I maybe would have placed Zelos higher, but they hardly need any promotion as they are so well known. It seems Zelos does the most experiments in materials and design while still producing watches with recognizable DNA.
Great idea for a video, I haven’t seen a ‘micro brand wrap’ like that for ages. I love my Zelos, and I also have an Astor & Banks that’s excellent. And if you’re ok with quartz, look at Brew.
Wow!!! What a better way to wake up in the morning !!! Thank you so much Peter! From the bottom of my heart ! I’m extremely grateful for your words! By the way, we are working on a new 38mm Mondial and that yellow will have a come back 😊❤❤❤❤
@@Username.RandomNumbers I apologise if my questions sounded impolite, I’m just curious. Did you ask “what” in a defensive way or you don’t understand what I asked?
I think wise watches and zelos have been doing amazing from a more affordable end ,and then ig on the higher end if u maybe consider them micro brands.... Nivada Grenchen and Squale
My top 3 microbrands have got to be Kurono, Furlan Marri and Pitzmann. Great fit and finish and I have had no quality/reliability issues whatsoever. They also have pretty good customer service. I would not hesitate to buy from any of those three brands again.
Lorier. Honest interpretations of mid-century watches. The Neptune is a well made (well performing 9000 series Miyota), very wearable, authentic mid-century dive watch.
Momentum (formerly St. Moritz) from Vancouver, Canada are one of the original micro brands dating back to the late 1980s and consistently in operation. They actually have their own styles rather than homages to more famous watches. Naturally they draw design inspiration as does everyone, but solid titanium tool watches and some with full lume dials are their thing. Good value for money and well made watches.

Missing Archimede, Damasko, Laco, Stowa. Indeed all German, all well-known brands, and all under 20 employees, often under 10 employees but still doing a lot of stuff in-house. If I am not mistaken all micro-brands you listed are produced in China (are call it Asia to include Thailand and singapore) and that has become a problem.
Great list, Pete. Baltic and Yema might be a bit out-classed by the other honorable mentions, but a lot of great brands with bright futures mentioned in this episode. Good fun.
In 30 or 40 years, when Patek Philippe will only sell € 150-500 k Genta styled smart watches, those of us still around will remember that the 2020’s have been a true golden age.
I watch and try to like some but as I look at my 400$ replica Explorer 1 39mm I move on. I do not like Rolex at all but the Explorer for me is an addiction killer and saved me a lot of $. Yeah yeah, I know and I don´t care

👍
Great video as always! Just a minor faux pax, at the beginning the word "handled" is spelled wrong.
thats what happens when you are up late burring the midnight oil 😊
@PeterKotsa it doesn't take away from the overall great video!
@@reconteam91 🙏
Missing Archimede, Damasko, Laco, Stowa. Indeed all German, all well-known brands, and all under 20 employees, often under 10 employees but still doing a lot of stuff in-house.
If I am not mistaken all micro-brands you listed are produced in China (are call it Asia to include Thailand and singapore) and that has become a problem.
No Kuoe?
Great list, Pete. Baltic and Yema might be a bit out-classed by the other honorable mentions, but a lot of great brands with bright futures mentioned in this episode. Good fun.
Absolutely 👍
do u like the paulin modul d ?
Ive never handled one before, so I really cant tell
Love this video!!! Love me some micro brands!!! Awesome price to quality in most cases!!! Cheers!!! 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
Christopher Ward !!!!
Not sure its still classified as a microbrand anymore 👍
So Thank will be putting a black bezel on their white face shellback huh.
Excellent overview. However, here goes my savings for acquiring the latest Omega Seamaster. I might prioritize a few of these mentioned here!😊
That's the spirit! 😉😂
Curse you for taunting us with that Tuseno!
sorry...
No im not 😂
@PeterKotsa 🤣 😭
"In my microbrand box," I knew it! There is no way you can be happy with just six watches in your collection.
😂
I have two boxes, one microbrand, one majorbrand
I shared a video of the microbrand box last year

Handled, not handeld.
Late night editing (burning the midnight oil) 😊
Any watch CONSTANTLY out of stock should be excluded from most lists. The best quality of a great watch value is BEING ABLE TO BUY IT!
I definitely prefer you over an extremely pretentious arrogant TGV
