For close to a century, the officers of the United States Border Patrol have traversed the foothills and valleys of the Otay Mesa, located in California’s San Diego County. But in addition to contending with an endless stream of individuals attempting to illegally enter the United States, these agents have sometimes encountered intruders of a more inexplicable nature.

Real Reason Why Trump Wants To Build The Wall
I remember this on Coast to Coast a couple years back. You should find that video. Includes bigfoot, and other creepy tales.
Might check this out. Thanks for the recommendation.
Btw, any update on Volume 2 of the Bedtime Stories book?
So what your telling me is that a ghost of a border patrol agent scours the U.S-Mexican border hunting for the man who killed him and stops crimes along the way. Boy that would be an amazing TV show
I think you're being very Cavalier! :D
You do have a point, but it would make a worthy movie plot.
Unfortunately, even if said movie happens, I doubt it would be successful in these times... and no, I'm not referring to the virus this time around, I'm referring to the dubious quality of a lot of movies these days.
@@michaelandreipalon359 I thought you might be referring to the rancid reputation the US Border Patrol earned under Trump.
The illegals would be the heroes in these lib tard times.
you're* 😞
Agent Santiago sure is dedicated. I sure hope I'm not still working my job after I'm dead. Though I have to wonder, does that count as overtime?
I'm sure there's no extra pay for that sort of voluntary overtime.
Working after death is "Passed Over Time" and only for the truly DEAD-icated, lol
Well they say if you do what you love, you never work a day in your life. Perhaps there are those who love what they do so much that death won't stop them.
I quiver at the thought that my ghost will have to go on and do my day job...
Talk about takin' the graveyard shift. And with a skeleton crew of one grindin' his fingers to the bone! They say seniors live longer if they're workin', but this guy Santiago wouldn't give up the ghost! That's the spirit! I wish I was that dead set on my life goals. Is it morbid to say the handler felt the gravity of the situation when Santiago scared him to death? I may be beating a dead horse, but that border agent got blood from a stone that night. I mean he pulled off somethin' impossible and the perfect crime, at the same time- no body of evidence, no jurisdiction, no harm no fall!

Lot of weird stuff in the American Southwest. I'm in the Colorado desert, we've got plenty of weird history and reports here, but the desert of the southwest tops us.

when i saw the title, i first thought you were going to talk about the borderland between Scotland and England, there must be some strange happenings along Hadrians wall
Oooh, as a Scot, who's visited the wall, I'd like to see a video on this, also, on Mary Kings Close in Edinburgh, as I've also been there, I'd love to watch a video on a place I've actually been to. 😁
Hmm, you do have a point there. It really does sound more of a Scotland based vid other than an American Southwest border patrol vid.
It made me think of 'The House in the Borderland' by William Hope Hodgson. Now that's spooky.

“Large cat-like creatures” could be mountain lions or even jaguars. Jaguars have been sighted and photographed in extreme southern Arizona. Just because it’s moving around at night doesn’t mean it’s supernatural.
It really doesn't. Mountain Lions have a scream similar to a shreiking lady too. Not supernatural at all. Just scary af.

Fucking goosebumps man
Just a quick clarification on the first story: "El Fantasma" is how we say "the ghost"-- a generic name for an apparition in Spanish. Also, Snap Judgement covered this a few years back and they interviewed the border patrol agent whose radio went off at 12:02am. Worth checking it out as they have some other good ghost stories in there.
Understood: tbh Fantasma is quite close to an English word 'Phantom' which is another name for ghost here, so many of us understood the word. I remember seeing an interview with the border agent a number of years ago about the incidents with his deceased colleague.
As much as Luis Santiago had done a surprisingly good job, I hope he deservedly found some peace...
@@jackspring7709 cool.. I kinda figured most people would get it ... I just thought the way it was told in the story it implied that "el fantasma" was like a special name they had for this specific entity. I haven't seen those interviews yet! I'm gonna wait til morning and look that up... Lol. Thanks for sharing that! Bedtime Stories is one of my favorite TH-cam channels! Just when you thought it was safe to sleep...
Living in California, A LOT of weird stuff happens in the desert and mountains. Especially at night. If you're at the border that stuff just escalates from weird to straight up scary at times.
Last time I was on the border, my hotel got hit by several bullets fired from a cartel machine gun during a running gun battle with the federales on the other side of the border. That was fun.
Agree, live in East lake, San Diego. As a former Boy Scout member, we had encountered some strange experience during camping over the mountains, don’t feel like typing an entire paragraph rn but you are welcome to ask me for more details
@@kevin6218 Share!! 😊
@@suejames735 Well here were some of them;
A couple years back in 2018, my last year in the Boy Scouts before I aged out, we were camping at Otay Lake camping park. It’s in either January or February and the weather was relatively cold for us the South westerners who are spoiled of good warm weather. So non of us really got a good sleep as the temperature was low, at midnight we heard some utv coming to our camp presumably from the trails in the otay mountains and some adult leader and me woke up, we saw them and realize they were frightened by something so we ask them things like are they okay and what happened. The rider said that they were just enjoying off-road activities o the trail when they heard multiple gunshots and yelling close by, but when they look there are no one around, no border patrol, no smugglers, nothing. They said something along the line that they just felt a sudden chill run down their spine and they head North towards civilization as soon as possible. After a short talk the border patrol came and talked to them, I was not able to hear what they talked about but after they talked, the border patrol gets on their Chevy Tahoes and accelerate quickly towards south and few minutes later we heard helicopters flew by.
Granted the shot could be from a prison that was a few miles south and the quietness amplified them, but it did not explain the yelling and how the border patrol was apparently terrified and rushed to the direction with an aiding of a helicopter.

A boss after hearing this: “If Santiago can come j to work after dying, you can come in with a cold!
Agent Santiago was a total boss. He continued to do his job protecting the border, from beyond the grave. He even helped some illegal aliens survive a journey that might have killed them, showing some deep compassion for those he had no real need to show compassion towards. He even avenged himself. Man, what a boss.
The other things this Elmore fella talked about happening there were also interesting. The faceless woman, the mysterious little girl, the house orbs, cat-people and even bigfoot. This book, and subsequently episode, had a little bit of everything in it.
