thanks for showing us the extra seals you added - that's helpful and nobody else really showed that in their reviews. Appreciate it
Thank you sir.
Great review and good, impartial comments help reinforce our buying decision for the exact same SE version of Diamondback's bed cover. Also appreciate the thought process behind mounting bikes, etc down the road. Nicely done and thank you for your service.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
You helped me decide to get one!
Glad the video helped. You’ll love it.
I appreciate your service 👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦
Thank you 🇺🇸
Good review man! 👍🏻
Thanks dude. Thank you for watching.
It’s amazing how many bed cover “lock” with plastic bolts. People sometimes break the bolts themselves when closing their cover. Diamondback is the way to go!
Definitely is the best 👍
@@ToTheCoreMedia Thanks for your video of the Diamondback HD! I am just about sold on this cover as being one of the most secure. I do see a potential flaw that looks like it could easily be exploited. It looks as if all someone would need to do is remove 4 hinge screws and a cover could be removed with a slight twist from the hinge side. It would be cool if someone could verify this as it looks like this would be pretty easy to do. The alternative cover I am looking at is the Renegade cover which is similar but does not have hinge screws that can be removed. What is your opinion on this? Thx.
@@zmotorpro did you get the renegade insight?
nice video your, not picking, but your gas springs are installed upside down. If you check the installation guide , also on the side of the spring there is a painted arrow pointing this way up. About a 30 second fix :)
Thank you. Not a big deal. I’ll swap them out.
I saw that also but I don't think it matter either way
I’ve got a work truck that one of these came with “gull wings” on the front half. I really like the security of it since I do a lot of parking at trail heads and I stay at hotels for 2 weeks at a time. Prevents the smash and grab. Need to weatherstrip the tailgate though. Gets a bit dusty, lol.
I wish I would of waited and got that style of cover myself.
What would be the advantage of that version rather than the one that opens like the SE?
Can the center piece be removed? Thats the only thing im worry about cause I can't access the full bed.
Yes. It’s held down by 4 C-clamps.
Where would you buy some replacement rods, one of mine is tearing up and I need a replacement for the lock rods…
Have you tried contacting them directly? I’ve gotten parts from them in the past which were not available n their website.
Do you think the SE is good enough or do you think the HD was the better route? Thanks in advance! I’m trying to get one soon
For me the SE is plenty. I’m not parking a 4 Wheeler on top of it. Check out my other videos with the full build and the rack.
Good review,. Got a question you might be able to answer for me. How much space/how tall are the metal studs? AKA I am trying to figure out how much extra height you can get on the cover. So from the bottom of the stud to the cover. it looks like about 2 inch maybe a little less. Mind measuring for me?
Thanks.
Thank you. We’d love to help you out, but I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking. Can you send us a more specific email?
@@ToTheCoreMedia yea sorry don’t know how to explain it well. How do I message you directly?
Email us at tothecoreactual@gmaildotcom
@@ToTheCoreMedia ok. I emailed you. Hope that works better.
DIamond plate or smooth surface ? What's the preference ? I am leaning towards the smooth .... with cleats.
I prefer the smooth one.
I hope the diamond plated version is still an option!!!!
It should be.
Gas shocks on upside down; instructions say they will go bad upside down
I know. That was fixed after the video was released. Thank you.
Your gas tube are upside down
Thanks. That has been addressed a while ago.
