Hi there! We would love to see if we can follow up with you on this! We would like to see how the Lexel has held up for you and maybe feature that on our website or social channels. Please let us know if you are interested!
I really like Lexel but never used in on an RV. It's nice to hear from someone with experience that it works well. I really dislike the stuff that the trailer came with & will be redoing it.
@@Sashco Extremely well. It adheres very well to any surface I've used it on; tile, stone, plastic laminate, paint, plastic, fiberglass etc. VERY stretchy and it recovers well. I would like to see a version with a matt or satin sheen when cured. Then is would just disappear when cured. I haven't done the RV yet though. How it it's UV resistance? Once I do the RV, I can report back with comments and pics if you like.
Great point about the twist off tip ! I like having smallest hole possible. One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is using to much caulk when they do diy resealing. Have you ever used the clear Lexel on top of dicor non sag.
I use Lexel because it's clear and it's superior hold/flex properties on my motor home. My MH is cream colored and whit caulks look bad. Lexel is hard to tool though, as it skims/sets quickly. Work fast! I would like to get Sikaflex Crystal Clear, but it seams its only in Australia....☹
You had me when you said it works on anything until the 2 week curing time and then the list of things you can't or shouldn't use it on. not worth the risk on my RV. I'll just go with Pro Flex.
Would you think this product would work well to seal the two halfs of the plastic tub in a washer machine. (Front loader) ... ? Are you familiar ? The issue is that Samsung didn't make the gasket.. the two tubs are join with about a dozen bolts that surround the tub. Pretty tight and I'm sure there is a fair amount of vibration during operation. What ya think?
Just wondering what sikaflex product is best for the perimeter of an RV? I know you recommend lexel but I have heard Sika makes really good products for RV exteriors and roofs. Just wondering if you have much experience with the sikaflex products.
I am doing a beltline were my roof meets the sidewall. The old screw cover is sealed on the topside. Would you recommend lexel for this application? Also your video is a year old, do you still stand by your belief in this product?
I am still using it and updating new info as I learn more tips. Lexel will work on any application as long as you do not try to stick it to silicone. It will not stick to it for long.
If you have original cracked silicone on the rv, do you have to get every single bit of it out before you apply this, I know you said it will melt it but will it ruin the curing process of the lexel? And what is the minimum temperature you can apply and let it cure at thanks
Ive experienced how new silicone will not adhere and seal to old and have avoided it like the plague since then, considering how difficult it is to completely remove it. Which type of caulk can you remove with mineral spirits and elbow grease? Mainly the top stained layer.. And also allow you to apply it over itself and be water tight? Thanks

How does lexel hold up on the roof?
Was this shot on a backup cam? 🤔

can i use LEXEL to reattach the kitchen sink to the corian countertop?
Will Lexel work on the lap joints on the roof or do you only recommend Sika?
Can you use it for the roof been thinking about using it around the vents
Can I put completely over existing sealant outside my rv windows and doors and trim
Which Sika Flex would you use to basically glue on the front cap of a fiberglass motorhome? Or the side windows when reinstalling?

Where's the part about sikaflex you supposed to be talking about that I haven't heard anything on this video about it

Yes and you need to wait for it to dry and off gas the old stuff before applying Lexel

can't find your application video for the Lexel. I used SikaFlex 1A for caulking the perimeter of the RV. How's Lexel compare?

Have you tried to remove it?
Yes, I have a video on it
