Away from the insane frame failure ... whats up with the wiring, it is a rats nest. They only care about what could be seeing by the customer, That only show how the product are pushed of the line without any care. And how is possible for the truck that looks really small in comparison to the fifth wheel not to have frame issues constantly ???. Of course because this trucks still have some quality left. Look like today RVs are mostly scams unless you dont move it pretty much. They cant serve as mobile homes. They cant stand it. Made to look gorgeous, what's inside ... well ,,, better dont look at it. The famous phrase from Davisdfarm: Good from far, but far from good.

It's my understanding DRV never used Lippert frames! Very confusing.

Stay away...far away from lippert products period. Lippert seems like a snake oil company that employs terrible welders.

BAL videos show making the adjustments with the slide out and doing the "out" first then the "in". My problem is they show the slide without the fascia. When my slide is out, I cannot access the "in" blocks. From your video, it doesn't seem to matter whether the slide is in or out. Is that correct? As long as the same direction blocks are evenly spaced and then 1/2" deflection about 6" from the blocks?

My issue is that the entire top of slide out has a gap when I have the slide out pull in. I have adjusted up super tight. Like the top cables on the in position bracket are so tight that it makes me nerves to tighten them more. Bottom is seated perfectly. In the effort to try to pull the top part of slide out closer in it has made my adjustable brackets go to funny angles. This all happened after replacing a gear box but slide outs have never come in or gone out evenly. I’ll never again purchase a trailer with this system. Worst set up ever. This is gear box number 6 in 8 years. Every time we put a slide out in or out we hold our breath hoping it will work.

In the video at the finished product at 15:55 that weld on the vertical and horizonal member is a bad cold weld with no penetration. The welders at Lippert need a lesson or two in welding. Shame on you Lippert!!!!

Anybody that bought a new RV from the year starting 2020 to the present this is the affect! I have owned an excess of 31 personal use RVs. I have never in all my years experienced any frame issues any brakes or cracks not even a flat tire. I have a scale at my door. Everything that goes in my RV gets weighed every thing I know the weight of water I know my capacity of the water I know the capacity of my gray and black tanks. I also know the capacity of my propane I know the weights of every person that rides in my truck and who stays in my RV, would I buy a new camper between the years starting 2020 to 2020 for never let me say that again never never never These are the consequences of buying during the pandemic when there were issues with raw material and with proper staff nobody gets this nobody good luck with you my friend.

I went to Florida back in may and had a flat tire on one of my New Goodyear G114 tires. I pulled over and went back to get my spare and guess what? It was gone. I have no idea where I lost it at but it was somewhere between Arkansas and Florida LOL. Ended up purchasing TWO New 500 dollar tires. Thanks for this fix.

I am researching FlexArmor, and was surprised by this review, the comments, the pictures, and responses from the management. I have spoken with Mark and Ryan and both were very friendly on the phone. I was hoping to see if you had moved forward with having a Flex Armor Roof Installed as you suggested was your plan 2 years ago, and you said you would update us on how it goes. I have not seen that you did this, but plans, like everything else, are subject to change;) Since you have not posted in a year, there may have been a lot of changes. I have not found a lot of reviews of this location, but Google reviews are very good - but only 23. I do appreciate your post.

It might be to your advantage to have the whole front of your upper deck and basement structure with a heavier better metal . It will save you the trouble a little bit down the road . When you weld Junk you get junk.

My 2016 Jayco has multiple cracks in the Lippert frame. And it keeps breaking spring hangers.

I would never, under any circumstances, buy an RV with a Lippert frame. Their reputation has been ruined forever. I don't care what they do (if anything) to solve the problems they created...they're done.

I've been welding and fabricating for over 50 years and I also have a Montana 5th wheel RV. I have repaired plenty of campers over the years. The major thing I have found is that the frame manufacturers use to thin of tubing for areas that require more strength. They also don't use gussets for bracing in statigic areas. Another thing that I have noticed is the bad quality of welds. Most frame companies use mig monkeys on the assembly line and they are rated on production.

I too have been welding for many years. And apparently engineers have gotten in the way of a welders integrity of doing his job. I know they have to build the trailer so they're light enough so they can put their body work on top of the trailer but the engineers at lippert know how to build a trailer solid but they are directed by the trailer manufacturer such as Grand design or whatever to what they're going to do and they are not able to do what they should. If you folks with these fifth wheels start blocking up roadways by where the trailer manufacturer not leopard but Grand design etc etc or you'll start getting more action I'm surprised there hasn't been more of class action lawsuits and more of the attorney generals for the states getting involved for this this is going to become serious as serious as pintos and corvair troubles

You had me when you said it works on anything until the 2 week curing time and then the list of things you can't or shouldn't use it on. not worth the risk on my RV. I'll just go with Pro Flex.

There are so many Lippert broken frames out there, i am surprised a class action lawsuit has been started yet. Everyone should band together and start one.

Wanna bet lippert starts a blame game of customer overloading trailer cause a huge class action suit is well on its way. Their fixes will not work the metal is waaaaay too thin to take the stresses

I’ve had my 5th wheel - bought new- 2014 , looked very nice and expensive to boot - however upon closer inspection - I had to put 40 hours of repair work in it before I can pull down the highway with peace of mind so basically I bought an expensive piece of junk all that being said I love my camper but I would never ever buy a new one and now I know what to look for !!!!! some of the comments said they’re all junk and I agree 100%

This is a Lippert issue , they design and build the frame , Lippert from what I read says they build according to the specifications from the Rv company! If this company builds frames for most Rv products, they should know what standards and specifications work and tell the Rv designers this is how it must be designed to stand up to every day use! It’s their responsibility and their reputation on the line !

Being a welder for forty years and seeing that steel and the size all that tugne weight I will never buy a camper it's not heavy steel to cheepy maid to me it's a big wast of money I say it's better to stay at hotels

How are the leveling Jack's how many are there and how do you fix the axle or frame. Has the roto flex king pin box been updated so the rubber block stays in place.

Lippert frames are garbage and these rv's are 6 figures. What a shame.

I personally think these manufacturers are overloading these frames beyond what they are engineered for.

What’s the model? 41LKB? Didn’t mention hairline plastic or acrylic for slides, impermeable to water. Double pane Windows? Comment on Roof? Alpha Sys SuperFlex TPO - prefer FlexArmor. Good note regarding Moryde IS (standard on DRV, including Kodiak disc brakes). Thanks for video!

Lippert really needs to reinforce these frames. Geesh add an extra hundred pound of steel and reinforce everything.

I use lexel..never have that kind of problem removing it..but I use a hair dryer...solftens it up...only use mineral sprites after removal to clean and prepare for new lexel...

I'm serious this is pathetic, this is definitely some pretty pi** poor engineering. This is a total frame failure. Call it what it is, not a flex frame. This is not rocket science. Why is Lippert taking in some cases a year to discover the cause of the failure. Now all of America will get to see what kind of a company Lippert really is.

Lippert stands for low quality. They have zero quality control. That combined with bad engineering and sloppy manual manufacturing is a bad combination for RV customers. P.S. there is only one thing that is worse than a Lippert frame and that is a Lippert slide 😂

As a hvac tech for 35 yrs, I once saw a demonstration on bolt strength. American verses import. Grade 8. After the demonstration I found out why only American made bolts are spec. In nuclear power plant construction. The imports don’t care to make the quality American bolt manufacturers live up to. To this day, I look at bolts, screws, and fasteners a totally different light

I think the cable is worn because the cable is rubbing on the aluminum bracket when it goes in and out.
