We sell Lexel...it is simply the BEST product on the market. There is also a product called Through the Roof. Very similar to Lexel except it is a brush on product in quarts and gallon size for use around skylights, vents etc. I have used Through the Roof for sealing house gutter seams and have never had an issue in years.

I am in the middle of resealing a shuttle bus that I am converting, using Lexel. It was recommended to me by my dad who has used it on his full-time camper trailer for 8+ years. I'm happy with the ease of application and the areas that have cured already! I applied some fresh yesterday to an area that had quite a bad leak at a major seam - it rained only a few hours later, the leaky spot was bone-dry. Still waiting for full cure of course. Are there any problems that can arise from applying a larger bead than strictly necessary, or is it mostly a cosmetic choice?
No it’s just purely cosmetic. I have like an inch gap under my shower door I totally filled up with Lexel and it’s been great there. Appreciate the comment. 👍🏼
I used proflex one day on one window cause I couldn't get my hands on sikaflex 1a white. That stuff is horrible compared to 1a. It was very hard to deal with after it came out of the tube.
Liberty Coach. They even warranty squeeks and rattles for life for the original owner. Second I think is Coach House, they only build one piece fiberglass RVs. No not one piece roof, the entire body. Think of it as like a boat turned upside down and mounted to a chassis. No seams = no leaks.
So i went on California RV Specialist channel and he is not a fan of ertena bond on your RV....says the plastic coating on the tape will degrade in the UV sunlight...says its ok for a termpoary patch ? now i think you are a fan of Eterna bond tape, i was thinking of using it ...i watched your video where you used it and years later still going strong....are you still a fan of Eterna bond tape and would you use it again?
Yes I’m still a fan. Me and Dustin agree to disagree on that subject. EternaBond stays flexible for the life of the RV (up to 35 years). It also stands up to testing of high-pressure water jets without having to reseal the sealant tape. In addition to being reliable, this sealant tape is UV-stable, sag-resistant and permanently flexible. Other features include: Life expectancy of over 25 years 15 year warranty Application Temperature Range: 40 degrees F to 150 degrees F Service Temperature Range: -40 degrees F to 212 degrees F Resistant to moisture, water and weather My one year review video comes out tomorrow
Here is a link to another great channel he has 3 videos on the subject and shows his yearly updates on it. th-cam.com/video/mKMlr4cP9Oo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1nDDXV4UMay7sjRH
@@WhyWait If it's as good as they claim and everyone uses it Dustin would lose some business, so a business man won't recommend a product that'll put him out of business, lol.
DO NOT USE LEXEL! Based on the recommendation of others, I used Lexel. It began failing almost immediately. Frustrated, I reached out to the manufacturer, Sashco. I was finally put in contact with Charis Babcock and after a few emails, and sending pictures, Charis reached out to Sashco's R&D and had this response. "Based on the photos, they agreed with what I discussed with you yesterday - the joint size is simply too small. It would be best to widen all joints to a minimum of 1/4", and 3/8" is even better. An RV sees even more movement than a home because of all of the bumps and vibration on the road. This is going to stress any sealant - ours or anyone else's - to the max." Widen all joints to 1/4" or 3/8" in order to get the product to work? Perhaps I wont do that. I had a near 100% failure within 3 months. They sent me a bunch of tubes as an apology and replacement. I still have 'em if you want 'em
Here is a link to Dustin’s shops webpage. There are some quotes on that page for prices to get that job done. Might give you a ball park cost. calrvspecialists.com/rv-exterior-body-maintenance-resealing-moldings-sealants/
One reason I got a Brinkley is to avoid doing this. The way they seal the RV requires no caulking. Here is a good video on products to remove caulk. Caulk be gone won the battle. You put that on the caulk and it comes off easy. th-cam.com/video/JY7cPZtu6lE/w-d-xo.html

Great info. I looking at doing this to my rig soon
Good luck! Not a fun job by any means.
How's your Eternabond holding up? We're considering Roof Armor.
Funny you should ask, my one year review of the project comes out this Sunday. Spoiler alert…It’s been good 👍🏼
@@WhyWait awesome thanks!
Chris
Who does the best warranty for RVs?
To be honest I have no idea about this. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Nice video thanks God bless
Other features include:
Life expectancy of over 25 years
15 year warranty
Application Temperature Range: 40 degrees F to 150 degrees F
Service Temperature Range: -40 degrees F to 212 degrees F
Resistant to moisture, water and weather
My one year review video comes out tomorrow
Here is a link to another great channel he has 3 videos on the subject and shows his yearly updates on it.

@@WhyWait Thank you for responding so quickly- love your videos !!
@@mstouder sure thing. Definitely appreciate you always watching. 😁
@@WhyWait If it's as good as they claim and everyone uses it Dustin would lose some business, so a business man won't recommend a product that'll put him out of business, lol.
how is the Lexal holding up ???
Just fine for now but it has only been a short time of having it on the camper.
Thanks for the reply.
Lexel is good stuff.
Been happy with it inside for sure. So far I’m pleased with it outside as well. Thanks for stopping by 👍🏼
Wouldn't even need to re seal if rvs were built better
This is going to stress any sealant - ours or anyone else's - to the max."
Widen all joints to 1/4" or 3/8" in order to get the product to work? Perhaps I wont do that.
I had a near 100% failure within 3 months. They sent me a bunch of tubes as an apology and replacement. I still have 'em if you want 'em
Great video brother
Thanks Chad. 👍🏼👍🏼
Wax n grease remover work as good as the Kent.
Why not use urethane? The stuff lasts over 50 years.
Good information
I'm curious if anyone is willing to share costs for a dealer full reseal on a large fifth wheel (we have 2020 GD Solitude 380fl).
Here is a link to Dustin’s shops webpage. There are some quotes on that page for prices to get that job done. Might give you a ball park cost.

Lexel 💯
Tape is for the weak 😎
good video/info, thanks 🤠
Sure thing. Appreciate you checking it out. 👍🏼
Why not just put lTurnabond Tape U-R supper Roof Tape.
“Eternabond” tape…no way, don’t want the RV looking awful. Nobody can see the roof lol
All RV products are crap. You should use Marine sealants
Dude you cut off the smart guy. Repeating everything doesn't help, it just makes the video long and boring.
