      Thank you Tom, It need to be sealed well, I've made 4 now and all of them had some form of problems in the resin, You Pastes are great and I hope people are going to you from me.The abrasive paste is a bit more aggressive than the YG, I notice it as the paper towel shreds with yours and not the YG, yours is working better to remove marks and defects, I have not problems using your product and promoting it. Hey Doug! Love this idea with the holes all around & as someone mentioned opal?! Ooooh now that would be nice, but VERY hard to do.... but then again just the white pearl's with pinches of orange and green pearl mixed in on a darker wood?!! P.S. What if you prepped the holes with a clear resin like they do on those "River tables"? Then no bleeding into the wood and no air bubbles!

    • @PohlBarnProductions
      @PohlBarnProductions  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Val. I've made 4 of these bowls now, all differently done and I end up with the same issue, I am not sure at all what the problem is. clear resin was a thought but then it might pool at the bottom leaving a clear section in the resin, 5 minute epoxy was a thought but I would have to work really really fast, LOL seems I need to figure it out as all 3 bowls sold this weekend, that's including the red and yellow bowl I made before the flaming flower bowl video.

    • @mamasimmerplays4702
      @mamasimmerplays4702 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Pohl Barn Productions if the holes are deep enough it wouldn't matter if there's a small puddle of clear resin at the bottom, because that's in the part you turn out. Were these done before you got your vacuum and pressure set-up?

    I am so jealous of how your brain works. I can probably copy what you do as an artist but I never would have imagined, in a million years, that if I drilled holes, all around the outer edge of a piece of wood and filled those holes with 2 colours of epoxy, that my project would turn out that way....................never, ever would that have happened. AMAZING. I am star struck. Simply beautiful.

My daughter asked if I wanted the only one left for Christmas and yes yes but you only have one so I'm hoping you bless us with some more of these babies. Number them and I hoping to get one for Christmas. The blue and green is breath taking. I would like one with the holes closer together. But please don't raise the prices till I can get one. Dough this is an awesome and stunning bowl, when I looked at the picture I wondered how did you do it. What a surprise it is fantastic.

    Both bowls are beautiful, and the bleed-through you pointed out just looks like a feature in the wood, to me. I especially like the contrast of pale warm peach in the wood with the cool blue green of the resin- and the second one really does look like opals!

      Thank you Mary, she liked and purchased the second one and that is what I was worried about being a consignment project, it's the only reason I made the second one.

    That final bowel is friggin amazing. I like the way you adapted when you spotted the issues with the resin

    Looks absolutely stunning, a really beautiful bowl, and the second bowl looks awesome to, in fact, the dark edges of the resin on the smaller bowl, (to me anyway) look even more beautiful. But then we’re all different, and it would never do for us all to prefer the same thing. Xxx
