    Good video . I got a 2002 CLK230 elegance kompressor it's so easy to work on that why I didn't get V6 or V8 to much work

    Hej. Czy przelustnica w silnikach M112 tak głośno pracuje ? Zauważyłem ze jak kluczyk jest w pozycji zapłon ,to bardzo głośno słyszę wycie z przepustnicy.
    Pozdrawiam

    will an m113 throttle body fit on my m112 and will it perform better with an m113 airbox?

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The M113 throttle body , Maf and intake will give more airflow and a bit more power. As long as you have room for the larger air box . When you swap in the new TB you will need to let it learn “idle position “ again . Just put key in and turn to second position without starting for about 5 minutes , and the computer will do the relearn .

    Thank you for the video , I want to ask you about throttle learning , if you press gas pedal for 10 sec with ignition on I think it can relearn with transmission right ?

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ignition to last position before starting when all lights on dash come on..press pedal to floor all the way and hold for 30 seconds..keep pedal pushed down while turning ignition off,hold 3 seconds and release pedal..that will reset the transmission shift learning

      Same here and i hate paying for mechanics when i could manage doing the work myself. Only thing i havent done personally on my 01 clk is fix my transmission which unfortunately went out and cost me 2700 to get fixed.
      Ive rebuilt the entire suspension, lowered it, engine mounts, tranny service, oil changes, radiator flush, fuel pump, fuel filter, blower motor, sam module, spark plugs, flex disc, the list goes on, now this cleaning which fixed my issues! Many of these services i used your help.
      Thanks man keep it up were counting on you lol

    I was looking into a throttle body port and polish on mine but after watching your video I’m not seeing much or very little to port or polish.
    Do you have any opinion a throttle body port job?

    How is that rubber hose the brake booster if the hose is coming from the valve cover the hose that connects to the top of the throttle body?

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      2 of the rubber lines to the intake are for the valve cover crankcase fumes ..1 is for the brake booster

    • @les536
      @les536 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok thank you because I just changed this part myself and it was 4 lines one from each valve cover then one hose goes to the bottom of the mass air flow sensor housing and the other line goes to the top port of the throttle body....thank you

    I don’t know if you’re going to see this or not but I’m still going to ask.
    Whenever I step off the gas and the rpm drop from about 1,5 to 1,2 there’s a strange whistle coming from the engine. Figured this might come from a dirty throttle. Do you agree or isn’t that a symptom of dirty throttles?

    What would recommend the v8 or v6

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      either is good.. The V8 is harder on gas and less room to work under the hood, but smoother running. They are the same engine and components with different # of cylinders . V8s are generally cheaper due to the higher fuel cost. Drive both and see which you like, I like the V6 and even towing 3000lbs I couldn't feel the trailer

  • @justin6731
    @justin6731 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I was doing this on the 430 & landed up taking the water res off just to get some space to work, The V8 just no room back there to work in.

    How were you able to pinpoint the vacuum leak (15:51) to the top part of the throttle body, getting by the o-ring? Did you spray around there before removing the throttle body? Or you can tell from the black marks on the throttle body, with a break in the mark being a gap where there is an air leak? Thanks.

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      run an unlit , but gas on .. propane torch along the intake .. at the spot where the engine speeds up is where the leak is

    By any chance would you be able to make a video on how to remove the fuel rail and injectors I have a 99 e320 with the m112 engine I believe?

    • @fupabox

      I'll see what I can do

  • @yusuihang
    @yusuihang 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does your M112 have an electronic throttle? And that electrical connector to the throttle body is for both the throttle valve and the TPS? I'm thinking about cleaning the throttle body on my 1999 E320 (w210) with M112 engine. My engine has a mechanical linkage to control throttle valve. Just wondering how tricky it is to remove the throttle cable from the throttle body on my car. Haven't tried to look behind there yet. Think I may have to get a boroscope to look.

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes ..as far as I know, all of the M112s have electronic throttle .. dome have the mechanical linkage to the potentiometer by the brake booster .. others a direct connection (non mechanical ) to the throttle body. The connector is both tps and electronic throttle

    • @yusuihang
      @yusuihang 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      fupabox Well, that's certainly a surprise to me! I remember seeing what I thought was a throttle cable. I guess it's the cable to the potentiometer you mentioned. I prefer electronic connection especially if throttle body should be removed for cleaning. Thanks!

    Hey there its Marty with the 97 c230 again. I took the dash out again to fix some leds that werent working and I applied 12v to the circuit board to see which side of the conductors were pos and negative and I did apply wrong way current to it and when I put it back in it isnt working and some of the trouble lights are on. I took the battery cable off and waited but no effect. Did I kill it or is there something more I can do to reset it? just about to turn 200k too lol Ty as always man

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oops.. unfortunately you may have fried the board.. They can only take current in one direction. I would look and see if there are any burnt solder areas that can be retinned, but likely some little electronic doohickie has popped its cookies.

    • @MZ69123
      @MZ69123 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Luckily I just had to reseat the left connector in hard and wiggle it in to get the little fucker to come back into line with the program . Dont know if I fixed the leds but I think I can live with it if its gonna be this touchy ...it knows its gonna live in the garage soon lol. Ty as always man. The ML we went to look at was listed as great cond but was actually a piece of shit. The GF just bought a 2010 Rav4 so no hurries for any more cars!

    sir does it need to be removed to clean can it be done on the car is it safe press on the plate and gently get a rag in there or will i damage it vehicle 2003 c240

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you can clean it in the car without removing it . It's just more thorough when you take it off. You can press on the throttle plate without hurting anything , just make sure your key is out of the ignition when you clean it or it may set off the check engine light . It most likely won't , but just to be sure . No point taking the chance . Once youre done cleaning . Insert the key and turn to the last position where all the dash lights come on but don't start the engine . Leave the key in that position for 5 minutes to reset the electronic idle

      @@fupabox please one more question the ac in my car is erratic the refrigerant is full sometimes when i cold start and turn on the auto button on the climate control the electric fan will sound like a turbine under the hood then it will blow cold for like ten min and then get warm again the research ive done leads me to believe its the evaporator temp sensor causing the malfunction there are no resources available online to show me location on the w203 and how to swap it out the part is cheap i want to try it first do you have any knowledge on how to fix it alldata diy says location is behind the glove box but when they show the repair its located on the drivers side under the kick panel and towards the right above the gas pedal

      @@vr-cx6lq its a 2 wire plug going into the side of the evaporator heater core box . if you pull the trim from under the dash on both sides you will find it . It could be mounted on either side depending on year and model , but I'm not sure which models or years are which side . I haven't replaced one on a w203 so unfortunately I'm not much help on this one
