My understanding from the developer is that is for the firestick only. but he is working on developing a patched that will make it compatible with the shield Pro

Great App Dan, and a big shout out to TDUK. Not complaining just stating something I dont understand. After doing everything and it does clean out all caches of background apps. Why does my Defsquid app, and Background Apps and Process App show the apps still running in background, redone a few times just to make sure it wasnt me doing something wrong. Thanks again for all your great info for us cordcutters.

Hi Ross, I heard back from Tech Doctor. here is what he said......A reboot completely kills any running processes. However, depending on how an app is coded, during boot-up, it may start a background process. It’s just the nature of Android apps...
The Tech Doctor also informed me that he is working on a app called TDUK APP KILLER. something that will properly force stop all your apps with 1 click

Hey Dan what about clearing DATA ❓🤔
NOOO!!! lol, you don't ever want to clear the data unless you want to clear out all the information within that app. it will clear your history, favorites, credentials EVERYTHING!! It would basically be like the first time you install the app. the only time is necessary is if the app has glitched out and you tried everything else first. but keep in mind that you will be starting over with that app.
it is not necessary to clear the data in order to clean up the app. just the steps mentioned on this video. hope that helps. thanks

bought but the cache does not delete it, I notice it when I go to Applications / Manage installed applications and the application cache is not emptied.

my software version says it is up to date but it still shows 6.2 software version
Brought now I get connection failed
Just paid for this so called awesome app and first thing is now shows is connection failed to local host - tried your method to connect 28 times and still no luck - any other suggestions to debug?

No, when you restart your firestick the cache for each application will still remain.

I GOT THE 4K MAX AND I TRIED THIS APP AND IT DIDNT CLEAR MY APPS SO I JUST USE BACKGROUND APP PROCESS

So firestick 4k is no good?
No! it does Not mean is no good. it's actually a very good firestick, it's definitely way better than the Fire TV Stick Lite, but the Lite is newer so it has the Fire OS 7. If i was making a choice between the Lite and the 4K, i would pick the 4K everytime. this just means that 4K is not runnin with the Fire OS 7 so this application will not work. the 4k runs with the Fire OS 6.

Pity the Firestick OS wasn't written properly to limit cache usage to a 'reasonable' amount that would not adversely affect performance. Lazy programming.
