That indian billionaire guy was "really playing his part" despite being a side character cuz that guy is Anil Kapoor... One of the most iconic actors in Bollywood, who's been making movies for a long time. This was a fun cameo for him :)

Fun fact, the entire reason Jeremy Renner was brought in for this movie was to make him the lead of the series going forward, but Tom Cruise ultimately couldn't give up the spotlight after gaining full production control over the franchise. it's how he's allowed to do stunts no other actor would be allowed.
i think this movie is what brought Cruise back from the place he got too after the 2005 jumping on the couch thing and scientology came under a microscope. in the years leading up to this, i remember there were reports that the studio was looking at Brad Pitt to come into the franchise.
Fun fact. No one would have bought renner as cruise replacement.

the only plot hole this movie has is that at the beggining of the movie Hunt tells the crew the IMF knows Sabine Moreau already worked for Cobalt before, so how come Hendricks disguised as Wistrom didn't know it was a trap when he had the meeting with agent Carter at the hotel in Dubai? btw the guy who plays cobalt is Viggo from John Wick
To be fair that's a plothole that's pretty easily resolved in universe-Moreau having previously worked for Hendricks doesn't necessarily mean that they've met in person or that he knows her face. It would make sense for Hendricks to want to personally handle the Dubai meeting because it was an important meeting to secure launch codes to bring about his endgame, but that doesn't mean he handles all other activities personally and Moreau's previous work for Cobalt could easily have been handled by intermediaries and/or dead drops.

Tom is really doing all of these stunts - there's no crazy ass wire-work creating any motion for him, the only wires the actor had were for safety, only to keep him from falling to his death. He HAS seriously injured himself doing these movies, before.
And "Hawkeye" is Jeremy Renner -- he is an unmitigated badass in real life - on the first day of2023, he saved his own nephew digging his truck out of the snow, and ended up getting run over by a 14,000 pound snowplow, broke thirty bones in his body, and was in serious critical condition for a hot minute, during which he only communicated "I love you" and "I'm sorry" and "Goodbye" to his family.
But he SURVIVED that shit, and he's alive today. He's still pretty fucked up, obviously, it's not going to be a fast recovery, but he IS recovering. Legend. He's doing great, all things considered. Mad respect.
' Kurt Hendricks " is played by the same guy who played ' Viggo Tarasov ' in John Wick 1. That's why he looks familiar.

they sure did go to Dubai. went on a tour of the Burj Khalifa (highly recommend if you get the chance) and some of the stuff from the movie was part of the tour.

This is definitely my favourite one of the 7. I love the climb up the Burj and the other stunts in the parking garage so much. I also love that they were constantly let down by the technology and had to wing it. My order would be 4, 6, 5, 1, 2, 3, 7 - probably unpopular order but there you are. I found 7 disappointing in theatre because there were too many new characters that I couldn't bring myself to care about and Grace was just irritating to the point where I kept hoping someone would off her.
Still probably my favorite MI movie.

He did not jump down from Burj Khalifa but he did sit on the very top of it without any safety harness and no shoes on (for some reason). You can just google 'Tom Cruise Burj Khalifa' and see the picture.
He didn’t wear shoes because his shoes could easily fall out and that falling down that high could seriously injure someone. Also he did jump down from burj khalifa, Watch the making. He did all of the stunts on the burj khalifa as shown in the movie, except he had a wire, but nonetheless he did everything.
@@anom6707 That's interesting about the shoes! Didn't know that he did end up jumping but I guess that definitely tracks with Tom Cruise being Tom Cruise. Also I think everyone everywhere already knows that he will absolutely do every stunt in his movies that the production company lets him do.

Came out near Christmas 2011.
Major upgrade for the franchise.
One of my favorite sequels.
Saw it in IMAX.
Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Ratoutoulle and The Iron Giant) did amazingly well with his first live-action film.
From part 4 onward, they utilize IMAX technology for core visual scenes in these sequels.
This one definitely proved that Cruise is one of the best actors to ever do action period.
The cast (IMF, villains) was great.
Jeremy Renner was super busy between M-I, the MCU and the Bourne franchise.
Not too many 4th installments are this good.
From here on out, the missions stay fully connected (thanks to J.J. Abrams as producer).
