But these light can they do same as flash light as a normal camera does because if someone camera flash is broken these is good for using as flash light plus for all loving video you does for example please please let us knows it because it very important to knows.
The question you asked wasn’t answered. You didn’t compare a 60w light to a 300 or 600w, you compared it against a 5w. The video should’ve been called “is a 5w light bright enough?”
I just bought this light! I am beginning to get into photography and videos, but also moved states! I currently fly back to my old state to shoot for a small business that I worked at before I left, but needed something powerful and compact to travel with! So far, I love it.
60 watts is the sweet spot, it is reasonably bright, light and doesn't need big expense batteries. The only time 60 watts is not enough is if you start adding modifiers. That is, softbox, book leaf screens, etc. Hard lighting is not that bad, especially if you use two lights at different angles. Thanks for the video ❤
The mini Cobb lights are great for small subjects like rings or small product photography, or for adding colour to the background or product (like sitting a clear glass bottle on-top of a panel light). For larger subjects they easily become underpowered though
That smallrig 60W light looks like a great unit, but maybe more for video with the constant light feature. For photos, I love the versatility of a good speedlite also at about 60W
I personally think it's super bright for it's size. When you add the reflector and a V mount battery it works great to mimic sunlight coming through a window
video is very convoluted and hard to follow, you talked lot but didn't really say anything, your title is of a review while the video looks like it's a tutorial?? just some feedback
could this light be used as sunlight through a window? or is it not that strong? sorry I'm new with lighting so I don't know much.. going to buy my first light soon and this looks great so far compared to others.
Would you not recommend this light for competing with daylight/ I noticed you didn't do any daylight shots. I'm looking for something to be used as a fill/key when shooting in full sun. I use a run of the mill neweer panel light. Probably around $100. Love that, but not powerful enough.
Wouldn’t a 60W, 11 inch pancake light be comparable? (Such as Genaray Mini Moon). I mean, the soft box on your light is also 11 inches and more bulky (than a pancake light). Of course you can’t get a harsh light with a pancake light
I noticed you aren't using the light dome (in some or most). Is it too narrow for an umbrella range? any wider options so you dont waste or bleed out unused light?
I'm no expert but doesn't the wattage refer to the power draw not the brightness? Like there are dozens of 60 watt lights on the market that are all much different in terms of lux output
The important spec here is "luminous efficacy". There is a direct relationship between wattage and brightness, meaning more wattage generally produces more light output... but of course every light, and every brand will be slightly different in terms of how well it coverts wattage into actual measured light output. Generally speaking most lights with the same wattage rating will be around a similar brightness level.
If you're not moving around a lot needing the portability but want nicer lighting do you go for a brighter COB light for a studio? Mainly for talking head and product shots.
These lights are really good on paper, however, after a couple of years of use, the internal lithium ion battery would degrade and there goes the light in the landfill. IMO, I feel that Zhiyun Molus is much better for this, super small, lighter and can be powered with powerbank. Should hopefully last longer than this light for sure.
Hi anthony, perfect video! i'm new to photography and love this portable setup, can you please link me the umbrella that you have in the video? Is the handle (where the umbrella is attached) part of the kit or is it separate?
Excellent presentation. Very useful. I was thinking to buy 2 of those smallrig rc 60b lights as i am a weddinh photographer. You think it will be enough power light puting them in 2,5 m tripods height and in a distance about 4 meters from the couple?
I'm noticing more and more videos are getting sharper and sharper. Bout time yall started using the sharpness more lol. Lighting helps too with the specular but i can see some +3 to 5 up on the sharpness. Looks amazing! I got some enegon lights and although around 14watts of power, these suckers product great lighting even at 1%. I use them for splash and fill and sometimes hair lights
@anthonygugliotta Hi, would you suggest what lighting would be better for indoor video shooting, specifically when subject is moving around in house etc. Was searching for something that gives more bright results 🤔 Any suggestions. Would appreciate your time 😊
Cool video. Do you have a preference of constant light vs. strobe or flash? I use a great of flash but often considering constant and actually one of these lights or something like it. Do you have any insight? Also keep the great content coming!
I think both can work together! ie) You can use constant lights to provide a base level of fill, or to add an accent where needed. The reason I don't rely on strobes is that most of the time I'm shooting photo and video at the same time. I'd be down to do a series about flash though!
@@AnthonyGugliotta Good insight. Yeah I think people would find that an interesting topic. I assist in teaching a college photo lighting course and that question or topic comes up often. They each have their use case and video highlighting that could be really cool. Thanks for answering. Super cool.
What’s a camera you recommend for 1,500 dollars for video recording and content creation. ( idk if this matters but I would be mainly recording videos)
I have a couple of those small Nanlite tubes, which are similar to that small RGB light you have, except it's shaped like a tube. Great for product photography, but it's definitely meant to be used as a complimentary light, rather than a primary.
@@mr.spaceshiptechno I would say it's not enough. Consider 200 o 300w. When you want things in focus or want to capture a splash or something like that you are working at f8-f11 and higher speeds. Also if you want to soften light multiple times you will loose lights stops.
You still need a source to run it on 100% no reviewer has told that in their video. So my point is, are they really telling us the truth or just manipulating us
Why you using it for photos? It's a video light. Unless you follow the steps of Peter Hurley, just get a small camera flash and wireless trigger to make photos
How bright are your lights? What type of lights do you use? 💡☺️
Can you list a link to that umbrella used in this video!

He compared it to the Small rig 220watt light. He swapped out his talking head set-up at the 3:30 second point in the video

What attachment do you need to attach the umbrella diffusion to the RC60B?

Nice to see Toronto in these videos. Are you able to use an Bowens adapter with these lights?

we need more light videos 🥰🤓

i have a small pannel light, i only really use it for product photography of me selling stuff on ebay

I would use the mini light as a product b-roll light.

I'm currently using a ring light, it's okay but the image feels flat

Sony fx30
You are My Role model🤩🤩

Tube lights are super fun for that type of work! :)
what would you recommend for filmmaking? tube lights or this smallrigh 60b?
hey Anthony! Is 60W enough for food/product photography in a studio setup?
It might be. If you have a budget though, you might want to consider 100w.
@@AnthonyGugliotta thanks!

Is it an RGB light?
i use the mini light as background fill
Perfect use for it!
200W. Is the sweetspot.
That even makes it more portable
I use a powerstation and normal used powerful led lights…
Please note. These things loose battery after you fully charge them and leave them.
Why you using it for photos? It's a video light. Unless you follow the steps of Peter Hurley, just get a small camera flash and wireless trigger to make photos
Prayers for that mini light, dead after being thrown away by Anthony 😢
Yes, it is bright enough if you use the king of low light XD
I'm so goddamn love your content bro, keep doing it. 🤘🤘
Appreciate that! 🫶☺️
It will do nothing in day light.
you are moving around the room a little too much for the tyoe of content you are producing
