    Could’ve fully rebuilt the transmission for the same price though… would’ve had new clutch packs, seals, gaskets and you can thoroughly clean the valve bodies. Would be practically new and you wouldn’t have issues for a long while.

      @@maxwellgreenfield4117 yes but it would have taken longer at the time. Now I have a spare to rebuild if this one even thinks about acting up

    What's the little dealy you Mentone in the beginning when you said "this little guy is disconnected from the dealy"? I saw mine disconnected, but i don't know what it goes to

      Oh that's a little vent or vacuum line coming right off the top of the trans and goes to the engine I believe

    Hey , I have a 1998 accord 2.3l I had a leak from my transmission , I opened up the cover for the linkage and it was leaking from there , does that mean I need to change my transmission or is there another fix? Thank you

      @hotrod4d  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NYC.N3A ok I did some research and looked on my ol tranny to see but I think you can get lucky and only have to replace that seal around the shift output shaft without removing the whole transmission. Another thing to look at could be your rear main seal

    Reliable Honda accord from this generation? My 2002 2.3 was a total piece of crap. Transmission replaced 75000 miles, check engine light every mile, electrical issues from headlights to the tail lights and most points in between. Bad door locks, leaky door seals, sunroof gets clogged all the time and leaks into interior, the famous idle hunting. misfires, the fuel pump took a dump at 45000 miles, On the bright side its easy to work on. So its a good car for a person that likes to fix their car constantly. donated it wen transmission started to fail again at 120000 miles

      Wow they must have made yours on a Friday lol that's a tough break though, I've had nothing but good luck with these cars. That being easy to work on part you mentioned is what I mainly like about this car
