Morad go vroom! Would really love to see this exact same comparison in ACC for the same car, just to give another perspective from your professional point of view.
I truly appreciate your videos mate! I find your comparison between the two cars so interesting because you actually race that car, this is something that is so rare in the iracing community having these sort of feedback videos. Legend 😀🤙
Really appreciate the consistency of messaging here. Hope iRacing engineers/coders can use these series of videos as motivation to keep working on the next generation tyre model physics, to achieve the best simulations possible in a sim title available to everyone. M.G.V. :)
Morad go vroom! Me and the lady have been binge watching the channel and watched the onboards too! She loves watching GT3/GT4 races, that's how we got here :) She's not a sim racer herself, but she's been incredibly supportive of this hobby. Thank you for all the help you've given through the videos, I'm absolutely in love with this stuff!
WHAT!!!! Absolutely remarkable job iracing has done for quite literally simulating the race driver’s experience, look at how precisely your throttle off to braking spots are as well as trail braking into the exits ! They LOOK IDENTICAL!!!!!!
I think if you up'd the gamma on iRacing, increased the bass with an EQ, increased engine sounds, increased crash sounds (curb strikes) and decreased tire sounds it would appear even more like irl
Don’t turn the tire sounds down, in fact turn them up and the engine sounds a bit down. In IRacing they, absent of gravitational forces, provide another source of sensory information.
Bro, this is amazing. Perfect for customers who ask how similar. As you know, we track so often and we feel the same from the different circuits. Its so close and such a great tool. So many will give their two cents but the reality is most havent been able to do both. iRacing and Sim racing in general is amazing and so close to the real thing. When you apply yourself it will literally make you a better driver! Great Video. Morad go VROOOOM!!!!
I live in the southeast Texas area and was working right by the Winward Shop in pasadena. Seeing the cars in the garage when I drove by every day was the coolest thing ever. Now you're racing for them and it's even cooler. The fact I probably saw your car in there is awesome.
We appreciate your spin on sim racing and coming from a REAL driver, your opinion holds merit and value. Don't sweat the haters, they are losers anyway! Morad Go Vroom! Stay Frosty! 😉
These videos and your feedback is invaluable. Having direct feedback from a real professional GT driver surpasses any other feedback from "pro sim racers". I hope that iracing hires you as a tester and consultant. And to all the trolls that don't appreciate honest videos, Morad go Vroom!
Thank you. For a motor and simracing enthusiast your experience is GOLD. I find it interesting as hell that you share your experiences with us. I run to buy the amg gt4 on Iracing. And, of course, go vroom.
Reminds me of when Dale Earnhardt Junior mentioned how the sim helped him with Watkins, first time he went there (long time ago..). Funny you got to do this comparison on the same track.
Great comparison video Dan. Love to watch content from a real life driver like yourself. We can only dream of doing what you do but sharing your thoughts is a great way of making the dream better 😊
Morad go vroom! 🙂 thanks so much for this video, I don't know of anyone that's done such an outstanding like-for-like comparison - absolute gold dust for sim racers! Top man. Cheers.

GT4 is the class to drive. I love it in iRacing. I’m sure the experience in a real car is amazing. Thanks for this video, it helps with those questions I’ve always had.
It’s so much fun to drive. The racing is incredible as well. In my opinion, it’s one of the best classes of racing because you don’t have a lot of downforce, and it’s all based on mechanical grip.
I've heard similar feedback about the Porsche GT4 from real life drivers. Even with only road car experience, it feels a lot closer to me (especially the ability to regain control if you flirt with the limit, which iracing traditionally fails hard at) than many other cars in that sim. Hopefully they can get most of the cars up to this level.
This in detail comparisson was so incredibly interesting, thx a lot for sharing your impressions! I think it's fantastic that you find the interest and time to compare those two worlds in details and describe it to those who probably never have the chance to drive in a real race car. I'd also love to see you reviewing and comparing race incidents / racecraft, especially in multiclass endurance races of your IRL experience and situations you came across in iRacing and/or videos of such situations being sent to you. I think that would also be very interesting to see the point of view of a professional IRL racer in some tricky multiclass racecraft situations / passes.
Gracias por tus vídeos Daniel, Morad Go Vroom!
Morad go vroom! I always wondered how close these would feel. I use the AMG GT3 after coming from it and the GT4 in ACC. A couple nitpicky things about the dash for the iRacing version (no notification on screen for brake bias changes and to me the Engine Maps are backwards) but I have always wondered how close they are with that car even down to notifications on the dash.
Morad go vroom! Thank you for sharing your knowledge again. After the VIR onboard and now this I actually won a race at VIR remembering your lines through that track. Now with the Merc GT4 I’ll try and put some of your input about braking and throttle control into practice. Been thinking about a coaching session one of these days.
I have no need to feel this way other than it being a good game. I’m not paid by them and all of the opinions are my own. I love how there a few comments saying that I’m a fan boy. It just is what it is. There’s a reason Max Verstappen plays iRacing and nothing else.

Morad, Go VROOM! I just wanted to thank you again, for making these videos. I look forward to your answers to the great questions asked by the community.
I can totally relate to what you feel although I‘m not a real life race driver. Two things: where IRacing really have to step up is the tire models, BOP between cars and the force feedback especially on corners combined with tires pressure.
I really appreciate your perspective and the videos you make that are revealing the accuracy of the sim or how to configure your equipment to match your real life experience. As far as I know you are the only one doing that and one of the only drivers that publicly reveals that you use iRacing for real world prep. Thankyou for these videos and your insight. I'm not saying the thing though I did watch the whole video :D
What a great video Daniel! I think you could get a tiny bit more feeling mid corner, if you would adjust your simucube settings. Running a bit lower forces without any static force reduction while using less friction really helps with that. But most of it is probably because of the tire model. Can’t wait to see iracings new tire model haha Morad go vroom!
@@danielmorad your definitely right with that, the tires arent 100% correct. Morad go vroom! 😂 Love the content, it’s helped me improve quite a bit over the last couple months. Please keep it up and offer all the insight you can
Morad Go Vroom! Great Video man. Great to know your point of view and the dif from the real thing since we wont have the chance to experience the real thing!
Rfactor2 has the force feedback dialed in perfect. Especially with the tire feedback you were talking about. Traction.. traction.. traction.. wheel light. Back off.. traction in the wheel again.
Morad go vroom! Heck yea man, another banger video. Love these side by side comparisons. Would love to see more stuff like this with some other cars too. I realize that's a little difficult seeing as your drive for Merc but if you had any footage from your LMP test drives that'd be dope.
Morad go vroom! Great work on the channel. I am one of those who fully agree with you, iracing is by the best platform on PC right now (haven't tried any of the console stuff but I don't care for it). I have a question: Have you tried irffb? I did and although it adds latency, it does provide a better feel for the grip on the front wheels.
Morad go VROOOM! Thanks for this video. Always nice for me, sim-only amateur, to know that what I'm experiencing in the rig is not too disconnected from reality!
Morad go vroom! Love the video’s, really appreciate your knowledge and insight. Would love to see a video on brake pedal setup - from a typical sim pedal to a real gt3/gt4 pedal. Thanks for the videos!
Morad go Vroom! Loved the video, it would be interesting to invite one of your competitors to do the same comparison of their GT4 car on your rig. Would love to know how close the other cars are to the real world experience.
Morad Go Vroom! First off, excellent video! Definitely appreciate your opinions on the comparison between the real car and the sim. And excellent work on the production of the video too. Your vids keep getting better and better. 2nd, I do have a couple of questions. Is there any reason you didn't use the same car setup in the sim as you did in the real car? And do you feel it would have made much of a difference if you had/could have? And 3rd, sorry for your tough break at Mosport. I know that's racing, but you were still robbed. We all wanted to see you do your thing in that race. But don't let that slow your momentum. You've been on fire this season! So go get your redemption next round!
Thank you so much. Appreciate the support. The reason I didn’t use the exact set up is because it’s fairly close using the baseline. There isn’t much you can do in terms of set up. Plus, I don’t have the exact set up sheet so if I start changing one thing, I’d have to change everything. It’s just a really good baseline to show how close they both drive.
Hello Daniel ! A huge thank you for your videos and your sharing of experience. Like many, I am passionate about motorsport but I do not have your chance to drive in real life. Simulation is a way to satisfy my passion. I loved your video on the driver's position in the cockpit (seat, steering wheel, pedals), by comparing your measurements to mine, I have almost the same, a few centimeters or degrees ready I was so suprised but so happy to have a real comparison possible.
Morad go Vroom! Thanks for share it! Could be great if you can made another comparison between IRacing and ACC, or AMS2, for shure the other simulators have good points too. As a absolutely novice amateur and never driven a GT4 in my life, I also have the better feelings on IRacing, but your experienced point of view over the other sims could be a great tool for us to learn what is correct and what is wrong.
I have done a few comparisons with my caterham 310R I race in real life and the assetto Corsa version we helped the community build. It’s great to see the similarities in iracing with your car. Morad go vroom 👍🏻
Fantastic piece. We need more truth in the world generally, so thank you for that. Simracing may not be the most important thing on earth but there are still going to be a lot of people for whom the truth of a real race car driver saying iRacing is the most realistic platform is something they just want to deny. So they will make up all sorts of conspiratorial nonsense as a result. Ignore them because they are well worth ignoring. Morad go vroom.
At the end of the day, a lot of people can have their opinion, but they also don’t have a single lap in the real car so it’s hard to take the opinion of someone who has no experience to back it up. If somebody has some facts that they can bring to the table, I’m open to listening, but anybody that comments against this usually has never stepped foot in a real car. The funny thing is, if you ask any real racing driver what it’s like, they will let you know that this is the closest thing. It’s not perfect, but it’s the best we have.
@@danielmorad Not to gild the lily on this, but there is such an unseemly reaction against true expertise these days. You drive race cars. I don't. So unless I don't believe you for some other valid reason, for which I at least need a shred of substantive evidence, I should trust you. I have no horse in this race - all the real sim contenders are somewhere on my hard-drive or my Steam account. So it is great to get your view - and give iRacing props. I equally trust that if somebody else puts out something better than iRacing we will hear that from you as well. In other words keep doing what you are doing. It works, both in service to our community and commercially (asked my wife the other day for a belated Father's Day gift of a couple of pairs of your sim-racing socks ;).
Morad go vroom :). If you haven't already, I would try playing around with irffb. It's a 3rd party software which adds ffb effects based off game telemetry. The "seat of pants" or oversteer effect I find the most useful. Gives you a nice subtle opposite torque feeling when the rears start to go. Makes the ffb almost feel like AC1.
Morad go vroom! If you;re serious about wanting to help iRacing, you could always volunteer to be an Alpha Tester. There is a link in the forums to sign up and see if you get approved. I think it would be amazing for iRacing to have a real life driver help them with testing. Love the videos and your channel!
Morad go vroom! Really enjoying your IRL racecar driver comparison to sim racing and how your using iracing to complement your prep for real life races
Morad go Vroom. Looking forward to see more comparison like that. Not much itme to sit also on IRacing, though sounds like a great platform, no way to find time for all of them. Keep up with great content.
Morad go Vroom! Noticing a lot more steering feedback on the real car versus the sim. Sim inputs are too smooth and no reactions when car wheels track over the curbs
Cheers for the vid Morad, very interesting comparison, I've been driving the merc gt4 a lot over the last few months and really enjoying it in the sportscar challenge. Hope to see ya on track soon. No Morad go vroom 😂
Great to hear. I figure iRacing and even other sims are getting pretty close. For me as long as it's gives you mostly the experience of what it would be in real life that's all I care as I'm looking for the experience rather then perfect accuracy for my needs. I mean I'll never drive any of these cars in real life but at least I think i now have a feel for say, how a mercedes vs a porche vs a ferrari feel for gt3/gt4 cars.
Here’s a fact for those calling us iracing fanboys because yall can’t afford this cheap entry into learning how to drive. When you track a cheap entry level car like a miata every track weekend will cost you 800 and up. So this 10x in in a course of 3 months and you’d see iracing as cheap investment towards you actual driving skill and learning tracks.
Hi Daniel, love your videos. To much iracing but is ok, as you say best sim in the moment. I love to see more content how to help us to be faster. The first steps what we must do and then work forward with this and start firstly with maybe an famous track likr spa. Where you share your best time so that we can go behind you offline as a ghost car. And after the whenn we dominate thr Technik in an gt3. You make a short video about each track what we must take in account to be good. Best regards from North Portugal. If you are here i pay you a bear 😁
Which chat? I’m guessing on the TH-cam live stream? At the end of the day, everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Most people making these outrageous remarks are people who have never stepped foot in a real race car. Always remember that and where the noise is coming from.
@@danielmorad Yeah TH-cam live stream chat. And one dude actually made a point that real life racers say that iRacing does poor job with simulation and mentioned your previous video, but completely ignoring braking part of that. But yeah I personally think that competition is good and every sim has it best and worst sides.
Please don’t ever let trolls stop you from making this content. Absolutely awesome to have a real driver provide thoughts. You have a new fan in me.

Love the content, it’s helped me improve quite a bit over the last couple months. Please keep it up and offer all the insight you can
Thanks! Will do!
Morad go vroom! Thank you for the quality content.
My pleasure.
MORADGOVROOM! We need more of these takes!
Oh I’m on it! I’ll get some footage from VIR and Indy and post it up once the IMSA race weekends are done.
Morad Go Vroom! Great Video man. Great to know your point of view and the dif from the real thing since we wont have the chance to experience the real thing!
Awesome how your passion for REAL racing matches your passion for sim also!
Each video is more rad than the one before!
Rfactor2 has the force feedback dialed in perfect. Especially with the tire feedback you were talking about. Traction.. traction.. traction.. wheel light. Back off.. traction in the wheel again.
Morad go Vroom. Big fan. Love to see you share some setup videos and track guides. 👍
Will do! Thanks for the ideas.
Morad go vroom! Heck yea man, another banger video. Love these side by side comparisons. Would love to see more stuff like this with some other cars too. I realize that's a little difficult seeing as your drive for Merc but if you had any footage from your LMP test drives that'd be dope.
I don’t have any other footage really. It would be cool to sample a bunch of different ones though.
Morad go vroom! I just really like your videos and you describing all the stuff, you are very easy to listen to and just very calm and clear!
Morad go vroom!. Love the comparisons. Thank you for your time 👍🏻👍🏻
❤ Morad go vroom. A great watch as always.
Thanks a lot :)
That’s such a good idea. I’ll see what we can do
Morad go vroom! Nice vid Daniel!
Thanks!
Morad go vroom. Pedal fast! Thanks for the content.
Thanks so much
Hello Daniel !
Thanks. I need to try this in the off season.
Morad, go vroom! Thanks for sharing your insights. Glad I happen to choose the Merc too 😁
Good choice!
Best sim racing channel ever.
Thanks a lot man
Morad go vroom!! Thanks for all the insight. I really enjoy hearing your take
Morad go vroom! If you;re serious about wanting to help iRacing, you could always volunteer to be an Alpha Tester. There is a link in the forums to sign up and see if you get approved. I think it would be amazing for iRacing to have a real life driver help them with testing. Love the videos and your channel!
I already am one. I just haven’t had time lately to jump on and help. In the winter, there will be some serious improvements I’m sure.
@@danielmorad Sweet!
Morad go vroom! Really enjoying your IRL racecar driver comparison to sim racing and how your using iracing to complement your prep for real life races
MoradGoVroom!! Great video Daniel!! I am going to go download the car right now and try it out!!
Morad go vroom! Another really informative video. Such a great comparison.
There’s more feeling or tire deflection in the real car which is why you have these micro corrections.
Man these videos are so cool!
Glad you like them!
Cheers for the vid Morad, very interesting comparison, I've been driving the merc gt4 a lot over the last few months and really enjoying it in the sportscar challenge. Hope to see ya on track soon. No Morad go vroom 😂
Morad go Vroom - Again! Great job 👏🏾 👍🏾
Really cool video! These comparisons are awesome !
Wow amazing comparison. Love it. Thank you.
Great video Daniel MGV!
Sick! This is truly one of a kind driver insight.
Haha! Sounds good. I’ll take you up on that
Morad Go Vroom!) I wish this video was uploaded before 24hSpa cause there was a lot of iRacing roasting in the chat happening ahah
