- We sat down with @danielmorad and his Winward Racing team owner Bryce Ward for an extensive interview on Bryce using the sim as a training tool during the 2023 @IMSA@imsaofficial Season. As a thank you for their help, Bryce invited Dan's Moradness M Squad sim team to drive their GT4 car at MSR Houston - for many of them, it was their first time in a real car.

It was such a life changing experience for all of us on the MSquad. Thanks to Bryce, Russell and Daniel for this. Love that iRacing was a part of it.
Thanks Dan and everyone involved, must be a dream come true! Enjoy and congrats team!
Alex no shot you start this off with me stalling the car
oops 😆
That was absolutely hilarious!!!
Let's see what a 5.4k iracer can do........ clunk

Outstanding video! Great team, great friends, sub par pro driver and great team owner ❤😂 amazing experience and so happy @Danielmorad was able to put this all together.
Morad, you're a gem brother. Great stuff.
MORE OF THIS!!
Honestly, iRacing is so much more difficult to master than real world driving. I am not surprised simracers are more than capable of driving real race cars competitively.
Awesome experience! Hope to get myself in a real seat someday above and beyond sim racing and filming. Now to get my track car finished...
Good luck in the new year with racing people, Just a few more weeks and I have my sim rig ready to race, my steering wheel and steering base are on their way, and then I still have to learn to drive lol;l
competing in pro level karting, probably give these home racers an edge .
For sure, all of the quickest guys in F4 are either irl formula drivers or gokarters.
Man this is awesome. Would love this opportunity
This man and his team, teamed up with a sim platform, to allow sim racers to live a dream. I respect it
very refreshing to see a company like working with a youtuber
Awesome 😂😂😂
I'd love to do something like that.
Just cool 😎
5:29 Jesus! Look at all that brake travel.
Ive done so many laps there.
Morad is a good guy
Good guy better salesman
Very good to hear this! I hope i get to race some cars irl before 30s im at 22 now
Im sure driving in VR a lot might be even better for training your senses? (except for no g force)
That was a lot of talking without any racing or interviews of drivers who had the most amazing experience of their life.
Hey iracing I don’t like the ui because I’m doint use the ui I’m trying do these iracing special events like Daytona 24 I can’t do it because of it
Curious to know everyone's lap times in the car vs Morad.
I still remember the kid that puked in the Skip Barber car lol.
Because he was already ill before starting and it was over 90 degrees in humid weather.
It was a Star Mazda I thought
Oh, yes, Greger Huttu. The fastest alien. That video is still up on TH-cam from iRacing. That was a great watch back in the day and I rewatched it recently.
wd DM with d24 win!!! gg
We all spend thousands of dollars trying to get this magical load cell pedal that barely moves but if you watch his foot in the car his brake moves 6-7”. I think somewhere along the way sim racing got off track of what reality is.
No we know Morad is advertising iracing
Morad has always been honest. When he does not like a car or something about iRacing, he shares his opinion. It's an unbiased opinion.
@@f1_onboardsAC hes claiming iracibg is the best while saying at the same time he never tried other sims, how did he come to that conclusion?
all this iracing sponsorship big money coming in now i understand why he likes so much iracing and not so much assetto corsa competizione too much biased
Wish iRacing wasnt a subscription game, its honestly the only reason why i dont want to play the game.
And people keep telling that acc braking is realistic 😂 In reality with acc style they would have lost that car in a few turns.
That braking is suuuuuper off. It's done to play the game with a gamepad on PS.
Nice content, but kinda make all his past "unbiased" comments and game reviews a bit whatever. Just say yeah we cooperate with iRacing, people would still watch videos, enjoy the comments and listen to his driver insights, or you build something for years and lose all your chips in a single move.
It's not even his first project with iRacing. He has tested and guided the development of AMG gt3 and gt4 in the sim. He cooperates with iRacing because he likes it, not the other way.
Well I would dare to say he cooperates because it pays the bills, the rest is bonus. I have no problem with drivers and youtubers working together with companies, I have problem with him comparing and commenting competition sims (mainly ACC), where he talks from position of professional driver, bash them as complete potato wearing that hat, and straight face denies in the videos that he has anything with iRacing ... can't be ares to find the link and timestamp, it was also in one quite recent video where he address video comments, he said no one is paying him, pause, to drive or play iRacing. Which is technically probably true, but cmon, you have iRacing crew on your door making PR videos.
@@simsalamima2720 He's absolutely right about ACC braking model tho. He also stated that Iracing tyre model has some problems with the thermal model, which is it's main issue. He also says the gt3 AMG it's not really well represented etc. I would think that his opinion is biased if he never said anything bad about Iracing, but he's really honest about everything, good and bad. I think that does not really matter if iracing pays him or not: you can trust him.
Nothing about what you said above makes any sense. So tired of people constantly lying, thinking they know everything about someone's life, sponsorship deals and paychecks. Daniel will ALWAYS state when he is paid by a company, whether it's on TH-cam, Twitch or other social media platforms. iRacing decided to join this event with the M Squad and Winward Racing because it was great content. Look, you even watched this whole video and commented on it. Daniel has his own opinions about sim racing games and is simply telling his perspective on them compared to what is REALISTIC in REAL LIFE. It's really not that hard to understand. Anyone at this point who claims and says otherwise about Daniel's purpose with those videos just wants to pick a fight. Stop focusing on this so much and go enjoy yourself racing any game you like. This debate if we can even call it that has become ridiculous. @@simsalamima2720
Hate to be the guy who says but the reality is racing drivers getting paid to do it are not the fastest or best. We will never know who the fastest and best are because the entire sport is gate kept by financial means. If your dad is an f1 driver and buys you a 30k dollar go kart I think your gonna probably be a race car driver. Duh.
I see now why Daniel bashes ACC so much, all that iracing sponsorship.....
yeah I take his advice with a grain of salt he is clearly being sponsored by iracing
I absolutely love Daniels videos, but honestly I was a bit disappointed with the trial of iRacing. Even here in side by side one can see how flat the world is in iRacing in comparison to the real car. Real car is shaking all the time, iRacing car goes a bit like on a railroad. I am a bit exaggerating of course, but it seems that the track is very flat (or the way it's done in the combination with the car). I had the same feeling when I started driving it. This issue seems like an obvious problem and big difference with reality.
Also curbs are looking completely different when the car goes over them.
When I started with iRacing in Formula 1600, the opponents cars were flying around the track with the wheels being constantly 10-20 centimeters above the tarmac. Not once or twice, but rather constantly. Didn't see it for GT3 however, but still it leaves an impression for a simulator.
I started playing iRacing because of Daniels review of it, but honestly after the trial I started to doubt a bit. The game is ok, it's definitely not bad, but I am really not sure it's the best sim how it's presented...
What you are seeing is the shaking of the camera irl, while its completely fixed to the car on the iracing clip(which you can set up differently). Iracing isnt perfect, but the suspensions and laser scanned tracks are definitely the wrong part to criticize.
Curb surfing, suspensions and tracks are some of Iracing's best things in terms of simulations and by far the best in the industry (rf2 tracks are as good, but not the reactions over the curbs).
@@alexanderp176 if iRacing ever makes realistic tyre model it might become best sim. Current tyre model and many other issues like contact physics, netcode just ruin the experience for me.
Morad is a liar
who cares about morad
yeah, who cares about morad
Nice!
