I’m on my third pool and in AZ and each one I installed a Hayward skimmer works awesome you have to get over the cutting of the pool lol but you do. the clip on skimmer never worked right great review I had the Intex XTr, which was power coated and never rusted but the liner ends up ruined because I only had half the water in it. One season and it dried up cracked so now I have the Intex prism 20’ x 52 working out great so far about to put that skimmer in with my utility knife lol
Best thing i bought for my bestway for skinming is the pool devil pro. Cheap as heck $30 or so and i literally dont skim anymore because i dont have to.

I though about a heater but we can swim until early September but either a heater maybe longer
Can you tell me what materials you used for the splash guard. I have watched that video but can’t find anything to make it with

One thing I absolutely hate about it is you cannot just go right to standard PVC best way and Intex are all metric thread
