LOL makes me wonder WHY do they need to name them Ganondorf. 😏😐 ¿Maybe if they had different names they wouldn't want to obtain the Triforce and conquer the World?
¿Or maybe it's just that Demise's Curse likes to brainwash the minds of all the Gerudo women who have been pregnant with his "vessel"?

    • @HarvestMasterJack
      @HarvestMasterJack 5 ปีที่แล้ว +84

@@javiervasquez8995 I like to theorize that "Ganondorf" is a name of importance to Demise and his curse, but every time a Gerudo king is born, the legend of the past Dorfs' transgressions has already faded into vagueness. Most times a Zelda game references a past game in the series, Ganon and his incarnations are just called by titles like "the king of darkness". Like, if the desiccated corpse seen in the BotW 2 trailer is indeed the most recent Ganondorf, we can already see that no one in BotW 1 seems to remember him by name, only referred to when it's brought up that Urbosa was partly motivated to do good by the crimes of a past Gerudo king.

I find it interesting how Dragon Bone Mire is located so close to Rito Village, with bones that are so particularly massive. Especially given how in the original introduction of the Rito in Wind Waker, they were shown as only gaining wings upon receiving a scale from the titan sky spirit Valoo, a massive dragon. One of the largest we've physically seen alive in the series. While I doubt those bones actually belong to him, I do think that they're likely an intentional reference.

1: Yeah that is weird. It's even weirder how you can easily glitch into the dungeon inside of him as adult Link, almost as he is still there somehow. Personally I just assumed that Ganondorf killed Jabu-Jabu and froze Zora's Domain through Morpha, maybe not even in that order. I feel he would have done the same to the Deku Tree had he not died already from Gohma's infection.
2: I hate them, they are very creepy. I think they are just ghosts of the soldiers slain during the Twili Invasion, however they are TURNING into Poes due to the immense grief they carry. Maybe that's why they look so jarring and act so stiff and strange. A small part of them is clinging to their memories and sanity from when they were alive and trying to help Link overcome the challenges and avenge them somehow.
3: This is really something that I'm not sure we will ever see an answer. I like to think of the Trident as a countermeasure to the Master Sword, perhaps crafted by demons for their king to help him in his conquests. I also like that the writing on the stone tablet in the Trident's resting room sounds like a salesperson trying to get you to buy their evil weapon.
I'll tell you what, I'd LOVE if Ganondorf wielded the Trident in Smash Bros.
4: Oooooohhhh boy, I remember being completely puzzled by this one when I was younger. I searched every nook and cranny and crack for a solution to this and nothing. As far as I am aware it was part of a sidequest that got cut out but the Flagship devs forgot to take out the text that triggers near that wall, and thus it was dutifully translated into English when localized.
In my headcanon though? Link's grandpa or even Link himself hides hyrulean porn under that table. And Ezlo wants some dat.
5: Maybe the Hylians and others call these the bones of "dragons" just because the fabled dragons that roam the land (Naydra, Farosh and Dinraal) are the largest creatures they can think of. So they saw this huge bones and were like "Oh those are big like the dragons! They are the bones of dragons!" They don't know any better. Or any bigger.
Within the game's lore? That really is a mystery. Now video game ambience and design wise? I believe Aonuma and his team just thought it would look pretty dope to see all these curvy ribcages and skeletons around the explorable map.

Something very similar happens in Toadstool’s room near a chair in SMRPG and in Rita’s dresser in her room in Tales of Vesperia. You discover something that the character is very secretive or embarrassed about, and are quickly yelled at by the character and told to stay out of their stuff. If I had to guess, I think this may be very subtle adult humor. Since this is the third game I’ve seen this in, I have a feeling this may be a common kind of joke in Japan. I actually think I heard or read somewhere that that "secret" spot in Link's room in Minish Cap was to have something to do with the E-Card Reader, or whatever it was called, that launched late in the GBA's lifespan, iirc. No idea how well it did in Japan, but here in the US, it didn't really take off as well as they had hoped. Idk if it still has functionality in the Japanese version or not, or if this was even the case; that's the theory, however. Like you said, it may just be leftover data... or it could be another case like the Ice Key in Banjo-Kazooie, where a planned feature doesn't pan out the way they would have liked, and thus we get a piece of dead-end content like this one.
I do wonder if someone could datamine the game and find out someday, tho. I'm immensely curious, and have been since I was young and first discovered that most annoying of secrets... A more thorough look can provide a lot of interesting details.

Her magic is potent yet zant' s death is almost...barbaric. I don't blame her for fearing it; and ganondorf calls the fused shadows old magic. The people of the wind are the oldest group in the zelda lore; they are the group that were sent skyward during hylia's reign and the floating rock became Skyloft. As most should understand, history will inevitably be lost, locations will be renamed if an official one cannot be found, reasons for leaving will be forgotten or not told to a young boy because such things are not important to his current mission

Ezlo's comment might be referring to the red rupee buried outside, near the lower left corner of Link's house, which respawns endlessly, making it easy to farm a lot of rupees.
Maybe the implied canonical explanation is that this is Link's secret rupee stash.

Jabu Jabu died, it's all but directly stated. Ruto says he's been looking "green around the gills" and when you enter his body you kill multiple parasites that had taken root in his body. The implication is that Ganondorf cursed Jabu Jabu like he cursed the Great Deku Tree. Conveniently also with a parasite, Gohma. He survives and later passes. The Wind Waker shows that Jabu Jabu either had offspring or reincarnated as you see another giant fish named Jabun that speaks the hylian tongue, a remnant of OoT Hyrule.

I just stumbled across Hyrule gamer the other day. He’s great. In my opinion a lot of the good Zelda you tubers are derivative of Zeltik. They try to copy his style down to the thumbnails. But that’s not a bad thing. I would too. And ya gotta love Zeltik for always shouting out other Zelda TH-camrs. Retweeting them. He obviously doesn’t have to. Hell of a guy.

To the final mystery about the gigantic bones littered throughout Hyrule, There are some other bones that are proportionately the same size as the gigantic rib cages/spines. The giant skulls that Moblins like to use as their homes. There's hundreds of them all over Hyrule but they never seem to be in the same place as the rib cages. Some are even piled up together. It's almost like whatever killed these giants decapitated them and moved the heads far away from the bodies for some reason, even collecting them sometimes.

Thoughts on Jabu Jabu. In the downfall timeline we know some of the Zora took Jabu Jabu and moved out to sea, where they remained the friendly fish like Zora we see in OoT, and can be met in the Oracle games. Meanwhile the remaining Zora became the more frog like river Zora who'm also seemed to have had a major falling out with the Hylians, and spit at any passer's by. Now considering this is the route things were probably on their way to before adult Link arrived and put things right creating the adult timeline, we can probably assume the Zora who escaped freezing also took Jabu Jabu and fled. Those who remained would of course be thawed out, but likely switched deities to Valoo, and eventually became the Rito under his influence over the next thousand years or so.

Ezlo states that there's something unusual in Link's room, I think there's something or someone hiding either under the table or in the walls. Rupees? Blacksmithing tools? Weapons? _Link's grandma's bones?_ Maybe something haunts the house.
