As a veteran ex paratrooper of the British army. I love my country warts and all. Politicians come and go. My nation is much more than that. We have one of oldest democratic democracies in the world. The British people are good people very accommodating and charitable to others.

A bit difficult when the USA armament industry has pushed for being the weapons manufacturer of NATO.
For example 2023 Poland alone donated much of their older weapons to Ukraine and placed a $23.8billion order with the USA for new. Big business for the USA.

The US onlyt has veto on its own technology and weapons that they sold Britain. It is a standard stipulation for weaponry by every producer. The US has Israeli Iron dome missiles, but Israel has not given permission for them to be sent to Ukraine. The US has followed the agreement and has not.

Mine laying by military vehicle "Zemledeliye" in Kursk region of Russia
    th-cam.com/video/eVrH2vYzcYg/w-d-xo.html
We publish footage of the Russian mining machine "Zemledeliye" in the Kursk region of Russia. The remote mining machine "Zemledeliye" fires a salvo of 122 mm rockets, according to some sources 140 mm, producing remote mining in the border areas of the Sumy region of Ukraine. The ammunition currently includes two rockets with mines of different types, which is enough to solve most typical tasks. The machine of the engineering system of remote mining "Zemledeliye" began to be used in Ukraine since 2022, we published a video earlier. Technical information about the mining machine "Zemledeliye" in the link to the video in the comments to the video.

Details of my email to the MOD:
    Hello,
With recent developments in the Ukrainian war of independance, many military analysts are now questioning the restrictions that are being imposed on the use of storm shadow missiles by Ukrainian troops.
The following Times Radio interview with a recently retired British tank commander reveals what many military experts are now calling for; the release of restrictions on the use of storm shadow missiles:
    th-cam.com/video/oRm_hrvjixw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WO5UyVmMf7VeMUZ3
A real opportunity now exists for Ukraine's strategic advantage to be built upon and in so doing, bring the war to a strong negotiating position for Ukraine.
    Best regards,
    Douglas MacDonald

Ukraine moving its "scarce resources" to Russia’s borderline Kursk Region helped Russian forces achieve success in Donbass, the Financial Times (FT) said citing an unnamed Ukrainian artillery brigade commander.
According to him, "troops were back to rationing shells" "because ammunition had been reallocated for the incursion into Russia’s Kursk region." Kiev has also moved there "upwards of 10,000 troops, including many of its elite airborne forces and mechanized brigades," from the Donetsk and Kharkov regions, "where the fiercest battles are under way, according to officials involved with the operation." According to the newspaper, "Russian soldiers are still grinding their way through Ukrainian defenses, capturing villages and towns and bringing Moscow closer to its stated goal of complete control of the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine."
Several days before the attack on the Kursk Region, Ukrainian defenses in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), were already "showing cracks," one senior Ukrainian official "familiar with military operations" told the newspaper. In his opinion, Russian forces had achieved "tactical success" in Donetsk and more advances were likely unless the situation turned around.
"With much of its reserves directed to Kursk, Ukraine will struggle to fill defensive gaps and counter various Russian threats," Konrad Muzyka, director of Poland-based Rochan consulting group, told the FT. "Russia doesn’t have trouble mobilizing troops whereas Ukraine still has trouble mobilizing the number needed to hold and conduct operations in Donetsk," he explained.

  • @richardmarsden1897
    @richardmarsden1897 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

The Ukrainian military’s attack on the Kursk Region has not brought any significant results for Kiev except for attention from the Western media. In the meantime, it is unclear what aims Kiev was pursuing, expert George Beebe, a former director of the CIA's Russia analysis, said in a column on the Responsible Statecraft portal.
"While Kiev has succeeded in capturing headlines, it's unclear whether at this point what the mission will actually achieve," Beebe writes. He notes that Ukraine’s incursion initially "generated an impressive volume of optimistic takes on Western opinion pages and talk shows." However, "to shift the course of the war Ukraine's gambit must either divert significant numbers of Russian forces from the fighting in Ukraine itself, seize or destroy strategically important assets inside Russia, or hold territory over the longer term." The expert doubts that this is possible.
Russia has not moved large numbers of troops into the Kursk region and has commissioned reserves, Beebe points out. Kiev has failed to seize the Kursk nuclear power plant to strengthen its "bargaining power" in the negotiations. And "Russian air strikes on Ukrainian armor, troop concentrations, fuel depots, and supply lines prevented Ukraine from reinforcing its initial success in Kursk," the expert states. According to him, "Ukraine moved air defense assets toward the border with Russia, but this exposed their positions to devastating Russian strikes."
Ukraine will not be able to "hold captured territory," and "shifting the course of the war seems to be beyond its reach," Beebe concludes.
