I disagree with the comments about the position of Mrs. Harris regarding Ukraine. Her knowledge, position and support is clear. Mrs. Harris seems to be tempering down her position as candidate so the war doesn’t became a partisan issue. I have no doubt that if Mrs. Harris get elected, the support from US to Ukraine will be more efficient, decisive and proactive compared to Biden’s team approach.
    Thanks for keeping us informed!

Regarding VP Harris’ limited Ukraine references, maybe she is avoiding voter pivots that Trump has clearly made one of his issues.

I also disagree. Mrs. Kamala Harris has definitely spoken on Ukraine multiple times. Her stance is very clear, and actually, I would say stronger than Joe Biden's.

I'e stopped at 18:38, to comment that I judge that the podcast is failing to understand Harris's politics and electioneering. She has to win to the White House. She has to, in her electioneering, speak to the American electorate. Here person and electioneering are at one with her focus on domestic matters. What she has to say about Iran, should be understood in relation to what she has said about doing right (to a degree) by Palestinians. Where her position on American domestic matters, extrapolates directly to what she might say about what Palestinians also want as a life circumstance. Her approach to foreign policy is symbiotic with her (and TW's) approach to domestic policy. What is taking place in Israel is way more significant to most Americans, than is what is going on in Ukraine; remembering that she has to win to the White House first. So her Iran answer was bang on.
I think her approach to foreign policy, when President, will emerge from her domestic policy; all people round the world wanting basically the same life conditions; and TW on that score, being on the same page.
Regards the NATO question, she was again bang on; because that issue and its complexities cannot be answered from her domestic policy core. Here she will preside over experts who will take the lead on what is involved in Ukraine joining NATO. Always remembering that Ukraine being inside or outside NATO, may in practice look nothing like what we currently imagine.
Anyway, back to listening to the rest of this always excellent Telegraph podcast. Before, incidentally, the wife and I go and sign off on our Wills!

My gut feeling regarding Kamala Harris’s Ukraine policy is this: she’s keeping her powder dry as it’s not central US electoral focus (ie, why bring it up unnecessarily)
However… her personality and career would suggest she despises thugs and bullies… and she will take a very robust position against Putin.

The Ukrainian diaspora , mostly the Greek Catholic , the Bandera faction , they have encouraged Ukraine to be independent, poke Russia , but now just send old clothes instead of pressuring politicians to give ammunition. Shame on them ! Ukraine needs them in the western countries to pressure the media and politicians. Instead they send second hand clothes .

The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that the country imposed sanctions on three companies and 10 individuals over the recently announced United States weapon sales to Taiwan."The United States recently announced that it would provide large amounts of arms aid to China's Taiwan region, which seriously violated the one-China principle and the three Sino-US joint communiqués, seriously interfered in China's internal affairs, and seriously undermined China's sovereignty and territorial integrity," the ministry said. The sanctions target Edge Autonomy, Huntington Ingalls Industries, and Skydio and their senior executives, as well as senior executives of other firms on the "countermeasures list."

Moscow currently sees no basis for talks with Washington, regardless of who becomes the next US president, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said.
"Unless this line [of the anti-Russian policy being pursued by the United States and its allies] changes, no talks on strategic stability or extending the New START Treaty can be held, regardless of who becomes the next US president," the senior Russian diplomat told reporters.
On February 21, 2023, President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia was suspending its participation in New START but not withdrawing from the agreement. He emphasized that before Russia could consider restarting work under the treaty it would need clarity on how the document takes account the arsenals of not only the United States but also of other NATO nuclear powers - Britain and France.

She’s incoherent and dizzy in real life as one would expect from anything she has said in the past…
She’s as politically tatty and shabby as the rest of the United States of America is infrastructurally dysfunctional.
