This is the most comprehensive guide on this topic. Thanks a lot Robot. I've got a strobe from my friends so I'll give it a try.

Great video! I’m at full advance (screw slots) on my stator plate but can’t get the proper (.4mm) gap and have the points open at 28deg on my VBA. I can do .4mm but my timing is close to TDC.
I’m thinking I may have an incorrect stator. Or maybe rotor? Hmmm…

Hi Robert, I really like your video,
it's very easy to let me know how to adjust the timing,
I have try that few days ago,but I got a problem could't solve,
when I set the BTDC is 22 degree (vespa sprint veloce)
my point always be small, around 0.2mm only,
then I try to make the point open to 0.4mm , my BTDC will be 30 degree.....
Just can not be 22 degree and point is 0.4mm

Why do I get a reading of 81? So, that would be 40.5 as a TDC? Is that the 40.5 to the right of the reading on the wheel, or the left.

why didn't you use a volt meter on a digi multimeter instead of the bulb? Wouldn't that give a much much more accurate reading? Great videos anyway!
