It's a good thing SCP Explained has put this anomaly into a new perspective. However, Dr. Bob's take on this SCP a year ago is more detailed and even creepier. At the end of the day, both channels are doing a great job.

I've heard this SCP before and it's very disturbing. As someone who had to deal with highschool relationships in a hard way, this seemed like a thing that could've easily happened and just messed one up. Thank God no one had a voodoo doll
I kinda wish that you focus more on the details of the scp at the second half of the video instead of making an entire video of a story of the scp. There were more interesting information about the knotty stalker that I wish you mentioned. Like how it got changed from a safe class to Euclid class. And about its connections to other scps.
As always amazing content, this channel has easily become one of my favorites. The stories and tales are always amazing to watch, but do you think you guys could return to the "explanation and description" part of the SCPs a bit more? In older videos it felt like the SCPs got more of a "foundation" explanation during the story itself, like a cut to the scientist explaining the anomalous properties of the SCP and how they effect the world around it. Personally I loved the more descriptive side of the SCPs, but I know coming up with this content can't be easy so regardless I'll be watching every episode as always! Thanks for all the amazing content

When a hair is tucked into the string, it copies all moves the person who's hair is placed into it(the attuned), it will copy that person's movements exactly. After 9 days, it differs from the actual movements in order to cause the death of the victim. This is where the color of string comes in. Red means it leads you into dangerous situations using rage, which means you can't see the danger due to the rage. I think the one in the video is this particular color, though it doesn't show it. Yellow means it leads you to lust, which eventually I guess causes your death by people punishing you for that lust. Blue leads you to depression and suicide, and black leads to a lack of self preservation or something causing death. I don't know how, but I think these dolls somehow know what events will take place depending on the actions the victim takes, so they lead the victim down the path they know will kill them.
Dr. Bob already did a video on this SCP and he mention the effects of each color of the Knotty Stalker and the effects of using a decease body's hair and one incident where the knotty stalkers were caught moving on their own in containment.

Ok so what I gather, is after you use the doll, it starts mimicking their every move and voice, but after a while, it stops doing what that person actually does and instead acts as though they did things that would cause some kind of emotional disturbance, which then escalates into the death of the person who used it. After their death, a new instance manifests somewhere on their person. This is just my guess, ima look at the file and come back with more info.

Read between the lines, that's exactly when they tell you, in fact, they tell you the exact set of information you mention in the same order. Some people can understand given information better if told through a story where you can use events and context clues to have a better grasp on what you're being told. Of course, not everyone learns the same way, but the way people digest the information given is something that can be molded.

As you can imagine the ability to move in and out of reality and will as well the ability to shapeshift make this SCP an incredible security threat! I have submitted a request to the 05 Council to capture Just Some Guy With/Without A Mustache or questioning and containment.
