Honey, we don't mind that at all. I'm just grateful you created your channel and putting out such wonderful loving videos. It's always such a joy to come here and watch you knowing it's going to be a kind, loving spirit on the other side teaching us many beautiful things. I love that there's no judgements and criticism on your channel. You're a rare jewel my young precious friend and please know we adore you for being you❣️ THANK YOU FOR THAT❣️🙏❣️
Hey sweet friend, I'm a long time fan. I was diagnosed with metastatic cancer and watching your vlogs fills my heart with joy. Sending blessings to you and your beautiful family. Your mom and dad are awesome. Thank you for helping Becky's beautiful home.
Since you have a hook up for a washing machine, you could use that area for a sink and have water to water your plants all the time and a drain. Love the new room all bright and shiny
I agree, we had one in our old house that we put in - it wasn't expensive, but it was the most useful household tool. Cleaning paint brushes & rollers, washing off grease when my husband worked in the garage, cleaning the cat box, filling up the mop bucket, etc. Trying to figure out how to add one in our half bath now!
Trick i learned: paint the inside of one of the light switches with all the colors you use in the room, then if something happens to the extra paint, they can scan the color and its a direct match.
Becky painting your door would have been easier with a small sponge roller. I just put 2 coats on a door with a brush and it was still streaky. I did the 3rd coat with a roller and it turned out so smooth!
Becky you need to replace all the electrical plates with bright white covers , those ones are dingy looking. Since you took the time to make the room look nice you might as well replace those to. Would make a great difference. Just a suggestion.
Have a few thoughts...change fluorescent fixtures to LED for a brighter light. Wondering if you can put your black cabinet in front of the far window to give you something to look at while at work. Then, you have a long wall to put all your grow light shelves in its place. You can have your peg board on either side of the window. It looks great, so clean and fresh! Great job!! Love your mom and dad. They are a treasure and I know how much you appreciate them. February 17th here in central Indiana. Yesterday, low 50s, today 3-4" of snow. We can't really plant seedlings outside until after mothers day.
I had the same comment with the base cabinets, but I've also moved the wall cabinets to either side of the window, but the peg board between the cabinets.
BECKY you are such a joy to watch, love it when you include your mama and papa on some videos. My daddy was always there for me throughout my life, no matter what I needed. He is now 89 and the tables have turned for us but he will always be my HERO❤❤❤
Love seeing your dad coming to help out! My husband is that kind of dad to our daughter. I didn’t experience that, so I so appreciate it when I see it! What a blessing!❤
Hi Becky, I use a small roller on my doors it’s a better finish no brush strokes. Just my personal. Preference. Lisa xx ❤I❤ also the socket covers u could of soaked them in bleach so they go white xx
I had a room in my basement that I turned into a freezer room/canning storage room. It had glue on the floor from patio carpet glued down. I scrapped with a floor scraper all of the glue and then cleaned it really well and then painted the floor with garage floor paint. It looks awesome
Amazing job on the room. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride. 🤗 It's amazing how productive you can feel watching someone else actually be productive. 😂 Have a great weekend. ♥♥♥
It’s just such a sweet relationship you and your dad. Makes me emotional, my favorite story of you and your dad is when you said “I asked my dad to pray for me” and in that moment I knew that spoke of exactly who he is.
Looks so good. I'd so put that large black cabinet in front of the back window because when I'd enjoy the natural light while working with the seeds on that bench. HA! And put the growing carts on the wall where the black bench is currently.
Maybe you could cut those shelves down that you removed and put them under the windows, paint them to match & store all your pots, trays, tools, soils, seeds etc. The room looks amazing & 1000% improved.
Love the colour choice of the doors and walls. Would buy a few cans of white spray paint and spray the outlets covers, they look a little yellow next to your new lovely wall colour. Cant wait to see the completed grow/seed room xx ❤
Great job! I agree with adding a utility sink in the place of the washer/dryer hook-up comment I just read! It would really aid you in your growing endeavors, also cleaning up. I think making good use of seed storage boxes either in your white cabinets or your black cabinets is a winning idea too! Then you could get rid of that other older wood shelf, opening up more clear areas. Great job and what a joy to see you and your dad working together! Love your channel!
I don't know if the wooden shelf so close to the hot water heater constitutes a fire hazard or not but definitely check with your father or Josh about it qiickly please. Safety first. Your parents are so good to you but I know you appreciate them. Looks so much nicer in there now. Your right, it will be so much less dusty in there once the rug is removed and so much easier to keep the floors clean once you install the vinyl flooring. Good job both of you.🎉🎉 🎉
When cleaning my window and door frames I use an old toothbrush to get into the corners and cracks. I painted our garage a year ago using a Wagner spray painter and painted the peg board , it worked beautifully and makes the wall appear seamless. You guys are such a good team, made short work of the paint job. Those wood shelves might come in handy in your basement for storage. Thanks for sharing your motivational journey with us.
Got the popcorn going and watching on TV rather than iPad, much better. And may I add, what an awesome transformation! Thanks for sharing. And 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 for your dad, .!
What a beautiful view you have from that grow room. The paint job is a great improvement. Nice to see your dad again. Can't wait to see it all finished.
Such a blessing you have in your parents! My favorite color is also green…… it was a surprise to know we match, lol. That bread looked delicious! The color is perfect for the grow room.
I love so much that your Dad helps you with projects both painting an outside projects. My Dad used to do the same thing before he passed, and it was great to spend the time with him painting, etc. Enjoy this special time with your Dad - he's a treasure!
Becky the new colour looks beautiful in your grow room. It was very sweet that your dad came over to help you paint. You are so blessed to still have your parents. My own has passed away. And also my little brother. It's only my sister and I and our two kids. We miss the three of them so much and we both have to do everything for ourselves now. Help is so hard to fine to do major things around the house. But we are strong women and we don't give up easily. Love watching your videos as they come out. Keep up the good work.
Well done Becky. You’ll be smiling that all that was done when you start working in there. It’s amazing what paint can do. It can literally change your mood. Big thanks to your dad for his help.
I also think moving the big black cabinet to the windows and giving you a long free wall for planting is a good idea... should be able to do when you redo the flooring since you have to have it up anyway and putting it back to fit the window area would be so cool and more enjoyable I think... thank you for all the hard work you put into your videos and sharing your life with us, good wholesome and interesting videos!
I love seeing videos with your parents, especially your dad. I don't have a relationship with my dad, so I get to live vicariously through your videos. Family is so very important, and although I don't have a relationship with my dad, my husband is the kind of dad you have. Our boys have and will have a close relationship with their dad their whole lives. We learn from our parents - either good or bad - and I love seeing great examples like your parents. Great work on the growing room as well! 😊
Tip...use clean cottage cheese or yogurt containers for painting. Snap lid back on to use the next day. Glad someone else suggested painting wood shelves. I would also upen windows to help harden off seedlings if u can.
Your best advice for growing in your state is going through your state extension office. They should have all the information you need for growing, what to grow when, frost dates etc for your area of the country. You can find their office online or call their office. My husband and I made the decision to never paint any larger than a bathroom ever again! Said as he started painting our vintage trailer…😂 Looks awesome! I can’t wait to start my starts!!
Oh Becky , choosing a colour that will make your seedlings 🌱 look good, you really are showing your love of gardening 🧑🌾. You have so much energy and a good painter. How wonderful your dad can help.
Becky if I were you I would rip put the carpet scrub it down and use a cement type of paint it epoxy. Yes time consuming but worth it just a quick clean up wand easy to wash the floor
Why not utilize the wire shelving system and get some more shelves and brackets for a nice clean look instead of the wooden shelf by the water heater? The room has turned out so fresh, bright and cheerful!
You mentioned in the first painting video that you weren’t sure what to do with this room after you get greenhouse built… Why not a “summer kitchen”!?! Base in history, a space for cleaning, prepping & canning all the things that come from the garden. Hanging herbs to dry. Big sink w/ large drainage for drying things. A stove or hot plate. All the THINKS! & you don’t mess up the kitchen!! Good Luck!!! Love seeing Dad!!! 😁
I was also looking forward to this portion of the painting and refresh of your grow room. I’m glad you are waiting a little while to replace the floor covering, because it really takes a few days for the paint to cure and I would hate to see all the dust stick to your newly painted walls. Really looks nice.
Becky I loved watching this seed room transformation. Two suggestions, paint those black cabinets. That would spruce things up even more. Also be careful of your seeds next to your hot water heater. It may be too warm for them. Great job. It all looks beautiful. Can’t wait to see your new flooring and your seed starting.
Goodness but you are SO lucky that your parents don’t mind giving up their time to come and help you with even the muckiest jobs. You have a delightful family. The grow room is looking great. Vinyl would be fantastic for the floor as it’s so easy to keep clean, quick sweep and run a mop over it and you’re done. If water gets on it there is no problem.
The grow-room looks great, Becky! I'm so glad that your dad was able and willing to come help you! You have such a wonderful, supportive family, and that's the most important thing in life. Thank you for sharing some of your life with us, you and your family are such an inspiration!
Looks fabulous! I am at 28:00 and did not see that you painted the door jam of the door to the inside of your home. It could be done anytime. But paint does not really last forever and saves you doing it another time, and your motivation is prime now. So happy for you to have your space more aesthetically how you want it. Next.....Happy Growing!😊❤
The best thing for getting into all those angles and grooves on the window frames ( or anywhere else ) is an old toothbrush. I keep ours when they get too old for teeth cleaning and they work great for cleaning any small difficult space. Here in the Welsh valleys although I could get away with putting up a few seeds indoors it is so wet I will have to wait a bit as my allotment will need a few weeks to dry out and warm up a bit ( that is if it ever stops raining!!!)
Why are you brushing & not rolling the door? I used a foam roller to paint a large tall cabinet with wheels for my microwave. It turned out beautiful, no brush or roller marks at all.
Becky, you motivate me to do so much, I am cooking from scratch more, excited for gardening (usually my husband does this), and now I am motivated to do some much needed painting. Thank you so much for the motivation 😊
Can you raise the cabinets to butt up against the soffitt where the freeze dyer goes. The top of the cabinet is a dust magnetic with the few inches in between them and the soffitt.
Can’t wait for part 2 Becky!!! :) Future Reno ideas for the grow room: 1) update the door to match the exterior/indoor doors with a window to let in extra light for the seedlings. 2)update the outlet covers to white 3)light coloured vinyl flooring 4)floating shelves for storage maybe 5)replace cabinet to something modern
Becky that room looks beautiful, I remember going to sell my last home painting the hallway to the basement...no biggie omg never underestimate!! It's a lot of time and work but just a coat or two of paint what a transformation!!! Your dad is a saint by the way!
Thanks for your patience with me getting part TWO out! I hope you enjoy it! - Becky
Yay!!! Been waiting. I bet it's going to be great! Hitting plaaaay

Stuff happens, it’s fine
I would paint those wooden shelving units white also. The will fade into the walls
I think you are right and I might do that!
@@AcreHomesteadyou should also paint that black cabinet ,black again to freshen it up
@@zoisiranidou5398. I agree! It could use a refresh too!🥰

love this idea
That's brilliant.
So blessed to have parents who can help out. The new look is refreshing -great color choice. Looks awesome😀🎉
The second coat really made a difference.
Becky you are so resourceful and not afraid of tackling any task or chore. Your husband is very blessed you are truly a treasure 😊.
110% agree!
Paint the pegboard the wall color.
I was thinking that also
I love your dad! I lost mine 7 years ago and it’s such a joy to see your daddy-daughter relationship ❤
I thought the same. I also lost my dad a few years back and really miss him.

Kudos indeed!

Becky you need to replace all the electrical plates with bright white covers , those ones are dingy looking. Since you took the time to make the room look nice you might as well replace those to. Would make a great difference. Just a suggestion.
The problem is the wired electrical sockets and switches would then need replacing to match the covers....
They've redone them in the whole house so it would be just an hour or so to redo the ones in the grow room.
Or can they possibly be painted with the wall color?
I was thinking the same thing.. Maybe she could spray paint the covers? They don't match the new look of the room!
A nice utility sink would be nice to add and it shouldn’t be too hard since you already have water. The room looks great!

Becky it looks great. Dad helping out is such a blessing. Cherish him.
For a very finished look, paint the switch plates and outlet plates the wall color. Looking good!!

a small sponge paint roller very good for doors etc xx
Your best advice for growing in your state is going through your state extension office. They should have all the information you need for growing, what to grow when, frost dates etc for your area of the country. You can find their office online or call their office. Most areas have a local office they can get in contact with.
I always wanted to see the completion of this project. Thanks!

Can you raise the cabinets to butt up against the soffitt where the freeze dyer goes. The top of the cabinet is a dust magnetic with the few inches in between them and the soffitt.
Great job! I think the black cabinet would be really cute painted dark green if you want to incorporate green🌿🌱
Hi Kat 🌹🌹
How are you doing?
Becky, you and your dad did an awesome job! The grow room looks amazing! It is wonderful what a few coats of paint can do to brighten the room up!
I hate that job, yours looks beautiful. VERY VERY nice paint color!! South cent NYS
Can’t wait for part 2 Becky!!! :)
Future Reno ideas for the grow room:
1) update the door to match the exterior/indoor doors with a window to let in extra light for the seedlings.
2)update the outlet covers to white
3)light coloured vinyl flooring
4)floating shelves for storage maybe
5)replace cabinet to something modern
Becky that room looks beautiful, I remember going to sell my last home painting the hallway to the basement...no biggie omg never underestimate!! It's a lot of time and work but just a coat or two of paint what a transformation!!! Your dad is a saint by the way!
