    Great video guys. Andrew, please come back and visit as often as you can. I'm about to break out as a pipe welder, so I need as many tips from ya'll as I can get. Great one today. Of course, I struggle with the 3/16 cap on the bottom. Thank you !

    Not seen a lot of stirring the puddle like that. Very cool and informative to knock those undercuts out.

    I alway get a grin on my face when I see a new video from Jody on my sub list.
    Best arc shots and the most information per minute of any welding channel. This is the Godfather of welding. Hit the like button or risk finding your best tig torch head in bed with you!

    Cool stuff Jodie! I especially liked the slow mo play by play that was super helpful to get in the mind of a real welder. The hear and see exactly what you are looking for in the puddle as it happens. 👍👍👍👍

    Nice job. I tried to do 5/32 regular 5p vertical down today and it came out terrible. I had a 3/32 landing and gap I'm gonna try it this way

    Hey Jody, love your videos man. I'm working on my certs to weld and getting a degree in it and anytime I'm hung up on something I know your channel has exactly what I need. They really are Welding Tips and Tricks. I like that stand you have from Triangle Egineering, I was just wondering if you still have the list of all the stuff it came with. I'm trying to see how much it's going to cost to start setting my garage up as my start up shop later on down the road. Thanks and Keep it up!

    Thanks for info & tips. - I'm just a beginner practicing on my own. I have a hell of a time running Lincoln 1/8" 6010 on my Thermal Arc 181i (DCEP). My rod either won't stay lit or sticks & ends up a red hot. I've heard that some 3 in 1 DC only machines won't run 6010. I'm not sure if that's the case here. Thanks again for another great vid.

      a lot of small inverter welders will not burn a 6010...not enough open circuit voltage I think. but sometimes the same welder will run a 6011 which is similar

    • @davesmith6661
      @davesmith6661 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@weldingtipsandtricks - Well thank you very much for your advice & responding to my comment. I'll grab a box of 6011 & give em' a try. - I'd love to get one of those Esab Rebels, but for now the Thermal Arc was a good bang for the buck. I'll leave you an update on how those work out in case you're curious. I really appreciate you taking the time Jody. Have a great day - Cheers from Ontario Canada.

      Dave ...Everlast builds several models that have a separate circuit for 6010 and are reasonably priced. I got their 300 amp stick welder and it does a pretty good job with 6010. Inverter technology by it's nature is not as conducive to cellulose rods as the transformer machines. I think it has to do with the they monitor and adjust current to stabilize the arc when arc length or rod angle changes during the welding process.
