After a screening of Bill Forsyth's much loved BAFTA-winning film, the audience were treated to a lively discussion with some of the cast members of Gregory's Girl

my dream of visiting Scotland, esp. Cumbernauld came true this year. I wish I was there again-maybe one day. The Scots from Edinburgh thougth I was crazy for wanting to go to Cumbernauld and so did the customs officer. What can I say other than I am a Gregory's Girl fanatic!!
This film was such a part of my youth. Great memories sitting with my brother and his friends laughing, loving, and reciting every memorable part. Great to see this 30 year anniversary clip.
Brilliant, I love the film, I remember seeing it in the Abbey cinema in Wexford back in the day, I'd guess 1981. I have to admit Dee would still cause the old heart to skip a beat!. Very fond memories. Many thanks. Gérard lacey in Ireland.
I think one of the main reasons why this film worked so well is that the actors played their roles in a very believable manner. Perhaps, this is because they were barely a year, or more, past their last school years. Robert Buchanan had some of the best dialogue: "She has funny ears."
They're all looking fantastic 30 years after the film came out. It is one of the greatest British films. I'll be going to Scotland soon so I'm hoping to visit some of the film locations in Cumbernauld. I also remember Clare when she was in Altered Images and Red Dwarf. She also appeared in Father Ted.

I was in Scotland the summer the film came out, not far from where the shooting took place. Holds alot of memories this wonderful film, and, as life has many surprises, met Clare at London bus top 3 years afterwards. Dreams can come true (smile)
This movie is just beautiful. The work of Bill Forsyth is absolutely impressive, particularly "Gregory´s Girl", "Local Hero" and certainly the marvellous "Housekeeping" ( which features the music of the congenial Michael Gibbs ). The cast is always unspent and impressive. I am just wondering, what characters like Allison Forster, William Greenlees and Dee Hepburn are doing nowadays ?
I saw Claire in the summer of 2019 at an 80’s pop/rock concert outdoors at Croxteth Country Park Liverpool. The weather on the day let us down but Claire and Altered Images certainly did not. They were amazing. She sang those songs as if she were back in the mid 80’s. She looks amazing and has looked after herself well. Her talent, personality and good looks still abound today.

Clare grogan is propably the most intelligent gorgeous woman i have ever seen she just improves with age she is not a fine wine but is a perfect malt her voice and looks just melt me and allways has done since the 80's i have been married and divorced twice but can never find my clare!

Well hey, US Blu-ray is finally coming out on January 21st from label Film Movement with a new 2K scan and all the extras from the 2014 UK BD release

I am jealous. The nearest I got to Clare was that I once gave a lift ( remember when there were hitchhikers! ) to the drummer of Altered Images.
