Ex-copart customer here. They don't let you view. Then you come to realise the car is not as described, they refuse to rectify the situation and try to use every excuse to try and make you feel you are responsible for their false description. Avoid. Sued them in the end and got my money back.
The pyro fuse has gone on the M3 that's why it doesn't start. When any airbag goes on most modern cars they have a fuse that cuts power to the starter of the engine to prevent any further damage. It shouldn't be too much to get engine started. Hope this helps!
You'd be surprised how many TH-cam channels I've stopped watching after they got Lambos. I hope you stick with more down-to-earth vehicles. Thanks for the content!
Can’t remember whether I bought you a drink when you first announced you would be going for a Range Rover, but after seeing it I decided you need one regardless! Thank you!
Hey Nino, I’m halfway through the mini series and I just wanted to say that you have put a ton of effort into each and every video of yours. Thank you for your great content and it’s not long till you’ll be at 100k subs. All the best
Fair play! Looking forward to this one, looks like a windscreen, bonnet, wing, interior deep clean/repair, external paint correction/polish and a damn good service. I'd go all in on this one and make it a six part series. Get the windscreen new but you should be able to source a good condition wing and bonnet in the correct colour given a bit patience and perseverance. Best of luck with it!!!
Can't wait for part 2. I just stumbled on the channel this morning via the s type jag and can see that we are going to be spending a lot of time together as you're doing something the average man could have a go at unlike the channels you mention in this vid. Good work fella. It's nice to find someone who likes to live in the real world.
I bought a 2002 L322 (3.0 TD6) for £10k back in 2010 with 140k on the clock and no service history. I've done about 70k on it since then, and can report the following: new gearbox, new turbo, new front air suspension (both sides), discs all round, plus 2 calipers, handbrake assembly, fuel pump, brake pipe, steering angle sensor, ABS module, front height sensor x 2, drivers seat valance, wiper motor, bodywork touch-up, and probably a couple more minor items I forgot about. Oh and a new windscreen (could've happened with any car but the old one was pretty scuffed up before the stone hit it, to be fair.) Around £12 to £15k spent (over and above regular servicing costs & annual rustproofing.) But those bills were staggered over 14 years, with most of the big stuff in the earlier days when I was paying for previous owner's neglect; so including purchase price the grand total of £22-£25k to drive such a brilliant vehicle for 14 years is actually not that bad in my book, and is definitely economically viable. I should probably add that it's not my "daily" and is used mainly as a holiday car, averaging 3-4k per year. I use it mainly for ski trips, on winter tyres it's flippin' awesome in the snow. And it gets a very thorough steam clean and anti rust treatment every year, and the gearbox oil changed every 40k or so. My tip for taking one of these on is don't rely on it as your only means of transport, so you can live stress free with those occasional periods when it's having jobs done on it if there's no courtesy car on offer. Even a cheap little Fiesta sitting in the corner will give you valuable peace of mind.
Hi Nino, just fellow upon your channel by accident trying to get some info on Mini repairs. Ended up binge watching loads of your videos for 4 hours. Love your content, keeping it real with some humour thrown in. I have loved seeing the old cars getting a new lease of life. Keep the videos coming.
Hello Nino, I am watching your videos from Canada. I'm not a mechanic at all and do not attempt my own repairs. I really am enjoying your videos and thinks it great you take on such mighty projects. Hope you do more in the future.
I couldn't ever imagine spending 144k on something that could potentially be worth 70k in a few years and less than 10k in a few years more. Buy a house and a Mondeo 😂
@@NotEconomicallyViable Definitely not unreliable. If they are serviced properly they are very reliable. LR service schedule should go in the bin. Change engine oil more often to protect the turbos, flush the gearbox oil every 40k and ALL other fluids. Coolant is often ignored, over time it loses it’s corrosion inhibitor leading to leaks in the various coolers. My MOT tester had one from 20k miles and sold it at 270k still running great but a bit rusty. They rust in the rear wheel arches, rear jacking points and rear subframe first, also brake lines corrode but that’s standard car stuff. Ideally all plastic covers under the car should be removed, the metal cleaned up and sprayed with dinitrol or similar. Bushes, there is a lot of them but the originals last long after they are dried and cracked, only replace with OEM or they don’t last. Front ball joints cause rattles but easy to replace, again use quality ones, I mostly use Lemforder for bushes and ball joints. Always get an alignment after too.

L322 is a great choice. Later tdv6 engines are ticking time bombs, but honestly at the cheap uk prices, you better had bought the best tdv8 you could have found
Nino, Range Rovers are nice looking and they are good to drive but I absolutely hate working on them, surprises me you went for one as they are a pig to work on in a workshop with a lift let alone on the mud under a gazebo. At least the bodywork side of things isn't hard, it's the mechanicals and electronics that can be a struggle.
Actually bought 3 from copart this last year, think I’m matching you for a bunch of cars parked out front taking up space! Never have I filmed anything though, hardly even take pictures when I really get stuck in… I’ve met that lady a couple times, very funny.
Not sure if it's still the same but when a car took a big shunt like that the ecu would shut all major electrics down especially fuel supply etc in case of fire in an accident.
Always important to option the 'Christmas lights' dash package where many and various warning lamps endlessly entertain and amuse you on those few occasions when the car actually starts and will ensure a long and rewarding (although costly) relationship with a local specialist.
I had the 2002 hse nice cars I have a 2019 vogue 3.0td now can’t wait to see what you do with it maybe buy a rear end damage for parts should be very cheap in colour good luck
Ayeee another video 😁 and another project! I love watching your videos mate kind of inspired me to buy my own car that's abit of a project lol keep up the work mate be good to see the range loving its lease of life again!
Pyro fuse gone on the M3, I expect... this won't start. Also they shouldn't try to jump off the rear battery direct. There's a + and - terminal in the engine bay
I’ve had a few “executive”/“luxury” cars over the years, the merc was fun to drive, albeit a bit slow on pull off being diseasel. The jag!!!! Well… the absolute worst car I’ve driven in long journeys. The seats were so uncomfortable after just 20 minutes of driving I ended up selling after a month. The ride was smooth and quiet but by far the most uncomfortable. Now the Range Rover. I had a L322 and by far was and still is the comfiest car I’ve ever driven. I could take it anywhere. The fuel economy was workable and didn’t mind the cost for the drive. I hope to one day get another as I had to sell it due to corrosion. But would love another. Currently have a freelander with RR seats. They’re the best seats.
Nice little Rangie that and a bit of a steal for £1500. Should be good with new bonnet, wing and windscreen - even better if you can find them from a breaker in the same colour.
My best deal was in 2002 I was looking for an Alfa 166 2.5 24v , for my new wife's first car was group 19 insurance on a new driver , a new one was £30,000 at the time , and there were no SH ones , a few weeks later I saw one in a garage 3 years old 29,000 miles at £9000 ... Bit the salesman's arm off ,someone had paid £ 21000 in depreciation in 3 years
Wow that RR sounded amazing and someone bought a bargain half the price, I love these big RR ( I own a evoque ) and would love one for myself so the wife can have the evoque for herself. I actually prefer the older models
Quite the project! I really liked that Jag Super, 60 in under 5 seconds, it`d give the BM a run for its money for a tiny fraction of the price! Do you know what it went for?

Hey mate really enjou your videos. I'm aslo from colchester. I'm currently rebuilng an audi a4 2009. Keep up with the good work
Actually bought 3 from copart this last year, think I’m matching you for a bunch of cars parked out front taking up space! Never have I filmed anything though, hardly even take pictures when I really get stuck in… I’ve met that lady a couple times, very funny.
I can tell you now that filming it makes everything take ten times longer lol. Yeah she was a joker
Not sure if it's still the same but when a car took a big shunt like that the ecu would shut all major electrics down especially fuel supply etc in case of fire in an accident.
Lots of newer cars have a pyro fuse, when the airbags blow it also blows the pyro so the car can't be started for safety reasons.
😂😂
Always important to option the 'Christmas lights' dash package where many and various warning lamps endlessly entertain and amuse you on those few occasions when the car actually starts and will ensure a long and rewarding (although costly) relationship with a local specialist.
Hahaha maybe I shouldn't drive this car until January when the Christmas lights go back away
XC90 top of the range. Job done ✔️.
You also will not waste time constantly at the dealer 😉 😂👍🏼
Cheap car, love to see what one of those car buying sites would offer. Bet you'd still make a good profit. 👍
Cheers bud 🙌
I think you got a very good deal. Engine seems sound. On its own it has value
You are a very courageous man. ❤
Or stupid? haha
@@NotEconomicallyViable no :) 'motivated'.
Haha 👍
Looking forward to seeing this build.
Pyro fuse gone on the M3, I expect... this won't start. Also they shouldn't try to jump off the rear battery direct. There's a + and - terminal in the engine bay
Proper enjoyable vid 👌
Down to earth genuine
Appreciate that mate
This channel is an absolute gem!
If the airbags gone off then you need to replace piro switch before you can start it
Same model as Clarkson and Harry Metcalf from Harry's Garage and they really rated them 😊
I watched that video - it's part of what inspired me to buy this one!
They ripped all the dash and boot panels out the SVR looking for a tracker device.
Cannot wait to see you suffer trying to fix it, we love to see it. Best of luck, absolutely love your vids ❤
Hahaha cheers mate
Loving this, golden age of LR in my view... Excited for an update on the RS6 tho 👌🏻
RS6 update coming soon!
@@NotEconomicallyViable keep up the great work Nino, to driveway tinkering 🤙🏻
I recon you'll smash it out dude, can't wait to see it :D
Watched a few of your videos, nice job I subscribed 😊🇨🇦
Welcome aboard!
Your having a coffee and i see a Mk 3 Zodiac behind you a great car.
Essex lad wants a Range Rover just avoid parking around Rettendon😂 great channel
Bit more volume would be nice on what is otherwise another fab video!!
Pyro fuse blows when been in accident so stops them starting
At last! I’ve been patiently waiting for you to upload a new vid.
Doesn't it make you weep the way comparatively wealthy people treat their vehicles.
This is a fantastic video! Loved it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have the same dream, hopefully one day I will get one. I like discovery 4.
In the United States Range Rovers have horrible resale value and once out of warranty are almost hysterically cheap!
If the air bags have gone then the safety fuse has blown by the battery
A great story, keep them coming please.
Will do!
Just needs a new set of reg plates and a good valet, by the first looks at it
New to your channel......I'm invested.
Nice little Rangie that and a bit of a steal for £1500. Should be good with new bonnet, wing and windscreen - even better if you can find them from a breaker in the same colour.
Yeah that's the plan. Not a particularly rare colour, so shouldn't be too difficult 👍
Finally you’re back, I was starting to worry 😂😂
Oooofta! Was that a lovely 420G jaaaaaag I saw hiding in the corner there????
Good luck it be a big job but look amazing at the end
Pyrofuse is blown. You'll have electrics but ignition inoperable
Quite the project! I really liked that Jag Super, 60 in under 5 seconds, it`d give the BM a run for its money for a tiny fraction of the price! Do you know what it went for?
