I did a big chop 8 years ago. It was hard at the beginning with hijab ad I always had a little puff or weird bumps from twists. As my hair got longer I started doing cornrows or just staright back twists. Now I do straight back twists and put it in a ponytail if I have time. Otherwise I just put it in a bun which is just not good 😣 You just really need to know how to treat your hair when wearing hijab and even without hijab, you need to look after your hair in a halal way (not extended hair, wigs or weaves). It's difficult but it is doable.

@@xoxohayaati when you pour the three hand fool of water on your head, then use the base of your fingers to massage it better into your scalp. I have 4c really thick hair I I have to straighten my hair just to wear hijab because I’m tender headed and don’t like braids and I can’t really find much about this topic.
Such a hard topic for new reverts. I went from having locs to just cutting all my hair off because trying to retwist and I have to do ghusl when trying to conceive it's a lot. The locs were looking really sad. Still searching for solutions.
