Sooooo relevant to Muslims of African descent. As a single father to a daughter I needed this
As an african girl, this is good to hear!
Sheikh, as a woman, I highly appreciate these segments which focus on a topic that is often not discussed. Growing up, I found it very difficult to find answers regarding female purification. Often the response I would get is ask women. Most women I knew grew up in a society were education was mainly confined to one gender. So these episodes mean a lot to girls like me who were brought up with limited knowledge regarding females matters in general. For that, I thank you for your effort and understanding that there is a need for these kind of knowledge.
احسن الله إليك و زادك من فضله....بارك الله فيك و جزاك الله خيرا
Jazakallah for such women content bcz we really struggle to find such informative answers

HayakAllah Baraqalahufiqum
Does this means dread locs are okay
Would it be permissible to used a spray bottle to just get minimal water on the scalp?
I've got a question. If there is oil or silicone from shampoo on the scalp, does this affect the validity of ghusl. And if oil is put on the face or body does that have to be removed with soap in order for wudu to be properly done?
If the oil doesn’t create a barrier. Watch some videos of Sheikh assim al Hakeem, you’ll understand
if it's hard to wash away then wash it with water first. Otherwise just make sure it's washed off with water.
Assalamualeykum is this ruling the same for men with long hair?
@@user-ig7oz6ni2uI asked around different scholars have different opinions some say the same some say men must take it out
So if a woman has long straight hair which she doesn't necessarily braid (maybe just loosely puts them in a ponytail), does it then make washing the hair necessary? Since here the inconvenience of having to braid is not applicable.
@obaidahnaseer asalaamu alaykum brother/sister... would you like to elaborate, please. Jzk khair
@@Fkar101 Meaning to my nowhere does it say you don't have to wash the hair if they are not in braids.
But in the case of ponytail it's better fir a scholar to give fatwa whether it falls under that or not.
Regarding loose hair and even averagely tightened braids, when they are have water poured on them they usually get wet.
But in the case of very tight braids, there is a difference of opinion because water doesn't reach, but that's another discussion.
What about men who have braids with gel cos I have that and I done ghuls, my scalp is exposed so I poured water over and rubbed my scalp, is my ghuls valid, I’ve already prayed fajr and dhur ?
@@user-ig7oz6ni2usome scholars say the same ruling for men some scholars say men must take them out
Does the water needs to reach each and every part of scalp coz just putting water 3 times on braided hair won't make the water reach throughout the scalp there will be dry areas
I asked the local shiek and he said you need to continue until it is all wet. Now I am confused from this because he (from video) says it needs to reach the head but not all the hair. Did u ever get an answer sister
@@KS-cl8br no but to be on safe side i thought it's better to make the whole scalp wet... better be safe than sorry
@@KS-cl8br Even this shiekh is saying wet the whole scalp (which is the skin of the head and the roots of the hair)
I think I understand now what you're saying, but the hadith does mention pouring water the water three handfuls. So I believe that counts as the hair reaching the scalp as well as washing. Other scholars have also interpreted as such, as your local imam also has mentioned.
The main point is that the braids don't need to be opened.
What about men’s braids?
same i believe because the prophet ﷺ used to braid his hair in 4. but allahu allam
Almost every seikh is answering ghusul after hayd or janabah, how about nifas/ beleeding after delivery? How can we do the ghusul? Should i un braid my hair?
According to my little knowledge what I understood from sheikh ..heidh,janabs,nifas all need ghusl after finishing and they require same style of washing. So it applies across all as long as water reaches the scalp.Allah knows best
Im a man and have braids
of course better open hair
جَزَاكَ ٱللَّٰهُ خَيْرً
IM SO HAPPY I FOUND THIS😭🩷
