Travelpro’s plentiful use of gussets throughout the Maxlite 5 Laptop Backpack may feel overkill, though it makes compartment access easy and convenient.

The issues called out make it a miss for me. The weird water bottle pocket, which realistically won't fit many water bottles. The magnetic pouch and the annoying zips
Thanks for sharing! 😃

I bought this backpack for a 10-day trip to Europe, and coupled along with my carry-on spinner suitcase, the backpack worked like a charm. +1 for the multiple gussets, haha! One thing I did to help them from getting caught in the zipper was clip a pen onto the gusset. This forced the gusset to fold correctly inward towards the inside of the compartment, thus avoiding the zipper and having an accessible spot for pens! Great review!
Thanks for watching! 😃
Great review, but I’m not sure how the backpack’s back panels could bother your collarbones which are in the front of your body. Shoulder blades perhaps?
I definitely feel like this bag is intended to ride atop a TravelPro (or other brand 😊) roller carry-on as your personal item. Might have been nice to show it in that configuration. Great review!
Thanks for the input, as always, Lance!

Their rolling luggage is much much better. As for the backpacks, I feel like this is a competitively priced alternative to Tumi or Briggs and Riley packs.
Thanks for the detailed review! Do you think y'all could look at the mous 25L backpack?
Thanks for watching! I’ll pass along your suggestion 😃

Thanks Lauren! I was disappointed in the design of this backpack. Travelpro luggage has a good rep. The back panel padding is awful. I almost bought one of their rolling carry ons. I'm sure the pack hacker community would be very forgiving if pack hacker reviewed some rolling luggage brand that had backpacks in there line.
Thanks for checking it out 😃 Go Tigers!

Shame the new model only comes in black
Will you be posting a review of the Tortuga v4 before Tuesday’s release?

👏👏👏👏👏
Never heard the word “gusset” before today
It’s a fun one 😉
