2.5lbs to 2.9lbs pounds for an empty laptop bag is ridiculous by the time you put you laptop battery charger, book and iPad your at 10 lbs on you back. A good quality and efficient laptop nag should we less than 1lbs max unless you plan to have a sore back all day and some airline weigh your bag so it doesn’t pass the 7lbs limit before charging you extra.
