A tight Jazz band that just makes me happy. Eclectic too. A bit of Pink Floyd mixed with Miles Davis. So smooth and ultra cool. I am just an older man loving music again.
I always loved A GO GO ....classic chemistry here....I also must say that Medeski always looks like he is rummaging through a draw looking for something when he's playing.....he's awesome.
He looks so relaxed, yet the groove is always so tight. The zen groovemaster. He kind of looks like what you would imagine The Dude (of Big Lebowski) would look like if he was a drummer.
really beautiful music in every way executions solos interplay and respect each other music is simply that passing the ball to each other and wanting to play together...
Just what I needed in this f upped world. Miss MMW remember the good ol days catching these guys 4or 5 times a year. Scofield is at his finest when he teams up with Medeski.
Thomas, sorry for your loss. I lost my dad several years ago, and there's tons of music that reminds me of him. Sometimes listening to it can make me feel like he's still there. Hang in there!
Thank you, guys! Stay safe and healthy. Glad to see John wearing a mask as he is in a higher risk group. A short story about John: When my son was a toddler he would sometimes become inconsolable. The only thing that would calm him was John's music, the funky stuff. After a particularly bad episode saved by A Go-Go my wife said, you should send him an email and thank him for me. I did and his wife sent my email to John. About a month later John sent me a very nice note. Cool guy. Class act. Peace and love from Columbus Ohio John.
..awesome..the best way to beat the negative vibes this virus is causing..this is helping me right now guys..God bless John Scofield and his mates here..a true gift..blessings from Queens, New York under lockdown..
Gorgeous playing! Thank you gentlemen and please stay safe! I love how when the world falls apart the world turns to artists for comfort. Do them all a favor and buy their albums, directly from them if possible! They deserve our support.
One of my favorite videos - just great playing by everyone involved. John Medeski really knows how to play a B3, that's a talent in itself. Great bass and drums as well as Sco's outstanding playing. I've watched this many times and I always enjoy it and hear new things with each listen. Excellent!!
...easily the most refreshing music I have listen to in a long time !.....always gotta check the OGs new stuff ,.....they are the reason i love music so much !
I never liked listening to the organ in jazz, until fifteen years ago I discovered John Medeski and his fantastic trio, his friends from younger days, Martin and Wood... Medeski has taste and measure when using various keyboards...
22 yrs ago I fell in love with these guys when I heard A Go Go while driving to a backpacking trip. Awesome to see illy B still bopping on those Rogers Luxor drums. Sounds tight my friend :)
I used to be a drummer. But when I heard Martin play live I was shocked that somebody could play so groovily, live. I thought his drumming was somehow being co-created via some magic audio editing. No, it's all him.
Con Continuum 4 angeles han bajado del cielo.....Gracias...mil y un millon de gracias...Dios los bendiga...extraño a Mr Wood...Murphy tambien es excelente...espero esten todos bien con sus familias...
I'm only 21 minutes in but, I just already want to say to you guys, thank you for this; So enjoyable in these trying, stressful, scary times. A heartfelt thank you, wonderful gesture, beautiful music, fantastic musicianship. It's a real pleasure to hear and watch this concert.
Cowboy Jack's, "Girl I Used To Know" is an absolutely charming rendition! Such tasteful and reverent keyboard coaxing, taste, taste, and yes, more taste! 😊
he plays mustang F bass (or similar to that size) and sounds better than most 6 string fodera players....i always say > it's about the musician and his ability/taste...well done mister....and probably one of the best organ players + kick ass drumming...as for JS? my all-time favs
Thanks to everyone who involved in this beautiful project. Great musicians, great sound, great recording and mixing, you guys made my day, Thaaaannnk yooouuuu alll soooo muuuccch.
I saw them live at a free concert in Cleveland in late summer of 2005. I was practically front row. They opened for Stanley Clarke. I got to meet Stanley Clarke before his set. He did a meet and greet and only 5 or so people showed up, myself and two of my friends included.
This is absolutely beautiful, thank u so much for all of ya'lls efforts. This is so inspiring during these crazy times!! Bravo, well done gentleman and venue!!
This is just what we need in these troubled times! Thank you very much. Great tones form everybody. I, being a keyboard player especially love the Hammond!
I'm listening to this on an Honor 8s smartphone and I'm half deaf anyway but the mixing on this flipping phenomenal. I can hear Scofield's guitar tone so clearly!
Love this. Billy Martin is one of my favorite drummers. Always sounds like he's tumbling down a funky flight of stairs
Thumbling down and having total controll of the situations at the same time
His fills for sure. He’s awesome.
0:40 MASK (John Scofield)
9:13 CONTINUUM (Jaco)
17:37 A GIRL I USED TO KNOW (“Cowboy” Jack Clement)
23:44 SWING-A-NOVA (John Scofield)

Man, oh man...Billy Martin...that sound, that groove. What a great group of musicians.
💥❤️💥
He looks so relaxed, yet the groove is always so tight. The zen groovemaster. He kind of looks like what you would imagine The Dude (of Big Lebowski) would look like if he was a drummer.
Wow, John Medeski makes that organ do things, never ceases to amaze.
Thanks, SCO, MED, MARTIN, and MURPHY. It sure helps any of us to have better time at home.
This, boys and girls, is what is called taking lemons...and making lemonade! Sweet!
