- This is a shader created for cycles in blender that replicates a 3d printed object with a fdm machine. This is very useful for visualizing prints before they are sent to the printer since it gives a more real image than the ones created by regular slicers.

Thank you very much!, it worked perfectly!
2:10 for blender 4, you need to use Truncated Modulo
Very based
What in God's name is that??
This looks awesome, even like you included a value to change which is the line high
works for me, thanks bro
perfect!
Thanks, amazing video! Is there a way you could explain the logic of this? I would love to understand it.
Thanks! I'll try to recreate the top/bottom surface with a pattern taking this as a first step.
that is just sick!
thank you so much for uploading this!
You are my hero! Thanks!
Great video, worked amazing. Now, how would I apply this layer line effect at an angle instead of angling the part?
Thanks a ton for this. Theres no sound in this video, right? I would love a more in depth explanation of what's going on if anyone cares to explain. I am able to follow but dont think I could make something like this myself. thanks again tho!
Thanks! works amazingly

Whats the stuff youre pasting at 1:02 ?
It is from node wrangler the addon I believe te short cut is Ctrl+T
Hi! I've followed and checked many times everything here but mine seem to doesn't work for some reason.... Could anyone help me?
Same!!! :C
I have a question. I am using a model I have modelled in fusion360 and imported as an STL. the effect is not there? can anybody help?
If the nodes are correct you can try using cycles. What do you see in the rendered view?
@@sciencewithblender9879 so the effect works perfectly Suzanne, but when using the material on the stl or obj effect can not be seen!
@@mahalwijetunge1073 That is really weird since I use generated coordinates. I tried on a different stl from Thingiverse and it works for me could you please share a link of a file that you find that doesn't work.
@@mahalwijetunge1073 maybe you can try control+a and apply all transforms to your imported object.
