I was a mechanic at an Austin Rover dealers when these came out in 1989, everyone wanted to Road test one, the torque steer was horrendous with the unequal length driveshafts! I remember the billboard ads, 0 to 60 in 6.7 secs, faster than a porsche, yeh if you could get the power down 😂 looked best in flame red in my opinion, memories ❤

I had two of these awesome car
I mostly recall the severe torque stear and a fondness for following white lines; oh, and the smile inducing acceleration [very good for the time].
Very rare and sort after cars now, price wise, condition is everything with these..
Gosh most of these rotted away! The colour is British Racing Green.
Went like stink for the day Brakes were awful though 4th time time of asking was scary new discs and pads every mot
Yeah British raving green 😄
£10k to £12500
I looked at one but opted for an RS Turbo after test drive in both
Headlining was a weakness in Maestros. Great car but bodywork was the weakness.
£8/£10k
