Process of elimination. First video I’ve seen to say start with bar off. Duh! Why didn’t I think of that. Thanks!!

Thank you for this important video. I experienced this same issue the other day cutting some trees, when I went to top up the fuel and the oil because the chain was dry and smoking a little. This is when I noticed the the oil levels never dropped. Got home, watched your video, followed your instructions cleaned up the chainsaw and turned the housing and oil came out of the grove. Why isn't the chain not receiving oil???

Did you pull the bar off and clean the two port holes that match up with the oiling slot? And did the worm gear look to be in good shape? Or is the line from the bar chain oil chamber clear/clean?

@@CamoMatrix To be honest,I thoroughly cleaned off the bar and holes and the gap where the oil comes out of, the chain is now moving freely thanks to this video. However, I will test it today

Perfect. Just replaced my pump piston (and pinion) and saw lube is working great. This video made it very easy. Thank you.

Hey, terrific video and detailed explanation.I was wondering if this applies to a Husqvarna 120 mark II. I recently removed and replaced the clutch and sprocket as you showed (with the punch on the reversed threaded assembly and blocking up the spark plug gap with spare pull rope) but now I think my oil is not lubricating the chain. There’s not much DIY documentation on the 120 as it’s an entry level saw, but I use it as my beater saw in the deep woods and it gets quite abused.
My Echo and Stihl have plenty of online resources for repair but not my Husky. Any suggestions?

The pump could be different but if the worm gear in the pump isnt catching that could be a problem. the pickup tube could be blocked in the bar chain oil compartment also.

@@CamoMatrix Hey! Thanks for the quick response. I checked the exterior port where it feeds into the bar slot/oil hole and cleared any sludge.
I’ll have to empty the oil from the tank and check that as you mentioned. I will also look into the worm gear. Thanks for those suggestions.
I took a peek at an exploded view of the parts on on an online parts website. I may try to disassemble another decommissioned 120 that I own (and have been slowly removing it’s working parts and putting into in my working 120) to see all the involved parts and see if there’s a clog somewhere in there.
I will first run the saw with the bar off as you displayed near the beginning of your video to determine if it’s clogged before or after the tank. No point in removing parts unnecessarily.
Do saws’ bar and oil tanks have a filter inside the tank like the fuel does? Or it usually just accessible from the clutch/sprocket area as you demonstrated?

Check the pick up tube inside the oil chamber.

Hi. Where is the oiler 'adjustment" at. MIne needs turned down.

To much bar chain oil? there is nothing that can slow it down or speed it up but the delivery gasket may be worn out so the volume of oil isn't pushed against the hole on the bar properly.

@@CamoMatrixYes, I've came to the conclusion there is no adjustment. I've never seen one without until now.
