Cool video, I remember back in the day when the roads were not nice. some days you needed 4 wheel drive to get out under 528 overpass. Lots of hogs back there. Where is this old homestead at? I knew about the hoot owl inn but not the chimney place.
I’ve been out to Tosohatchee WMA multiple times. It is a great spot to cruise around and look for wildlife. I took my kid on a car ride with some short walks a couple months ago. We saw more than 10 alligators. 4 within sight of the Saint Johns parking spot where the power lines are. A couple of them were pretty big. A lake around the loop had what looked to be 10’ plus gator. Many birds including turkeys, egrets, herons, spoonbill, red tailed hawks, and more. Also deer and other critters. Thanks for all your videos. I thoroughly enjoy them all. I did a cruise through the Richloam WMA a couple days ago scouting out camp spots for when things get a little cooler.
You can't camp in the Richloam WMA just to let you know. FWC doesn't take that lightly. I'm glad you were able to see that much wildlife! It truly is an awesome area. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience.
Overland Florida , I stumbled across what appeared to be a camping area on the east side what I assume was Richloam. Looking at google maps, it looks like it is the bay lake camp which is a hunting camp.
@@OverlandFlorida now they're building gazebos and other garbage. It's Prius Offroading! Haha.. Great video though. This place is great when the suburban daddy crowd isn't out.
@@OverlandFlorida I thought that too but it didn't look like it. Plus, you can't shoot out there unless it's a hunting weekend. Which....to be honest.....fine by me. I've seen the people going out there and they don't look like their dainty fingers should be holding a gun. Haha.
been watching your videos for about 2 years now, thanks for showing me and my gf some cool sites to camp at, last october we went to green swamp with our daughter to camp out at. it was nice and refreshing, planning our next camping trip here!
I did a road trip today. I went from Punta Gorda to the Richloam General Store you visited in one of your videos. Also drove some forrest roads. Nothing to crazy because I was by myself and only 2WD. It was a nice day
Come on guys you didn’t want to be adventurous and walk across the power poles instead of the bridge? Would have made a better video 😂 Love Toso I hunt there just about every year! Nice place to spend the day during the off hunting season. Great video guys!
No you have to park in the designated parking areas that are numbered and walk down the road to them to cross. I crossed that ditch one day we were hunting put up stands then the next day we went back during a tropical storm, the water was rising fast so we figured we should get out while we still could. Well when we started crossing the ditch the water was flowing fast and chest deep. A root caught my feet and I went under. I had all my gear and my climbing stand on my back and about drown. My buddy said all he heard was me yell as I went under. So my advice... use them poles😜 It’s funny now but it sure wasn’t then lol.. lot’s of huge gators there and the hunting is pretty good if you put in time to scout. One of my favorite places to hunt in this area.
Check out Florida National scenic trail. You can access it in this WMA and several other points on the east side of Orlando. It is primitive and you can make it as hard or easy as you want by the distance you go.

The homestead is off one of the walking paths. They roads are in pretty good condition now.

Bull Creek or Three Lakes. Used to ride there 30 years ago.

No. Not a single one. You'd have to go to Ocala National Forest or Hard Rock Offroad Park.
