    I’ve been off roading Ocala NF. for 30 yrs. as well as the rest of Florida and other states. My 2010 Taco has never had an issue with 4 x 4 high or low nor did my 1998 Taco. 2010 manual says you must put at least 10 miles a month on the 4 x 4 to keep it lubed. Hearing about these problems with the 4 x 4 makes me leery of buying a new one.

    • @ISwearDownOnMeNansGrave
      @ISwearDownOnMeNansGrave 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's typically where the problems come in, when people go awhile without putting it 4wd, the actuators get sticky. The gx470 center diff locker is bad about that, but my 11 taco has never had an issue either

    Another great video. Sorry about the 4x4 issue. I had an issue this weekend as well on my 2002 4Runner. Couldn't get it into 4 hi at all as I was driving on the beach in St Augustine. That is not a good feeling. Eventually I got it to work but it is pretty tempermental. I am going to be spending some time in Ocala Forrest as well soon. People are saying that hunting season affects dispersed camping there this time of year and it is not allowed. Can you shed some light on this? Keep up the great videos.

    • @OverlandFlorida
      @OverlandFlorida  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I hope you have something simple wrong with your 4x4. You aren't supposed to freely primitive camp in the forest during hunting season. But there are plenty of designated camping areas you can use that are safe. The website lists all the campgrounds through out the forest.
