    I have a 3032E tractor and love the way it is built and still have a 790 tractor which is nice also and I love the way it is built also. Both of my tractors have given me great service and I got them new and sure would love to visit one of their factories and see how the tractors are built in person. Those people are doing a fine job and seem to be well qualified to do the job and produce quality products. The people who work for the company must be among the greatest of American workers and I love their quality work and can attest to the quality of the products since I have two of the company's products and enjoy them, along with their lawn mower.

  • @lowercherty
    @lowercherty 4 ปีที่แล้ว +30

    I always thought these tractors were built somewhere overseas like all the rest. It seems they are assembled here from parts largely sourced from North America.
    Many other makes that claim Assembled in the USA don't do much more than uncrate, put the tires on, and put the accessories on.
    That has put JD at the top of my list when I pull the trigger.

    • @JustinHEMI05
      @JustinHEMI05 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      John Deere is a global company. Global companies smartly source materials and parts all around the globe. John Deere has factories outside of the USA for other markets because they're a global company. For example, on my 2038R, the loader was assembled in Mexico but the main loader masters were made in China. The fact that the tractors themselves are built in the USA for US customers is fantastic, of course, but again, they're a global company and they have globally sources parts and materials..., and there's nothing wrong with that.

    • @markgosser9578
      @markgosser9578 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      JustinHEMI yes this is a global company but it’s an American global company and we need to support American companies which I have my entire life. What’s going on in China now with the Coronavirus is a good reason why here in America we need to build and make more products. They are shutting down factories in China due to the virus and we will suffer for it.

    I'll never understand why the nicest version of JD cabs are only shipped to Europe and not available in the US. Does anyone here know the answer to this question. This a long running issue with JD.

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Frustrating, Yes! My understanding is that most of the tractors in Europe are sold to municipalities. In the US, they are sold to individuals.
      Presumably, municipalities are willing to spend more for these upgrades.
      I think this is mistaken thinking, and that they would sell a significant number of the upgraded machines here if available.

    Watched messick video why it takes so long to get a tractor. I found that they at the dealer must put the dang gone tractor together. Like they don't test the tractor like they do there at Deere. They rely on shop techs to finish the assembly. I myself find that a bit of a quality concern for customer. Like the warranty issues and how they are resolved. Much less down time. I feel Deere makes a very good product and stand behind it. Thanks for the video people need to know this stuff to make the best decision on what to spend there hard earned money on. These things are not cheap!! Thanks again Tim for a great video.

    Proud owner of 3039R and is by far a dream machine of mine. It’s such a great honor to own a piece of equipment that is built by the hard working men and women of America and my home state Georgia at that.

    Really nice people there. I'm impressed with their supervisor's educational backgrounds and JohnDeere's production line, it seems like a foolproof way to build their fine tractors, thanks for the video Tim. 🙋‍♂️

    Too bad they didn't let you take a few tractors home to do a quality inspection Tim. You know, 12-24 months to give them a deal of approval.
