      I too just bought this synth too. I got it because I don't hear other synths sounding anything like it. It was a toss up between the Poly D and this, and I chose this because my Moog VST sounds too similar to the Poly D to justify spending $800 on it when I effectively already have the sound I want from my Moog.

    • @Treenote
      @Treenote  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@austinadams9464 Nice! What Moog do you have? I used to have a Sub Phatty. I'm hoping to get a Grandmother or a Matriarch at some point.

    • @austinadams9464
      @austinadams9464 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Treenote oh I have a VST from softtube. Moogs are too expensive for me and I don’t notice a huge difference between analogue and digital. Maybe some day I’ll get a Moog for a greatly discounted price haha. The Softtube Model 72 is amazing for what I need it for

    • @Treenote
      @Treenote  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@austinadams9464 Ah, fair enough! For me having the hardware version is more about the feel / experience than the sound if I'm being honest. Definitely more of a luxury than a necessity. You can absolutely get very close with software and I doubt many people would be able to discern the difference on a multitrack recording.

      Thanks!
      Yeah, I agree. If it helps your decision, I sold mine and I do miss it sometimes. I just don’t have the space right now and the mini keys don’t really do it for me. I miss having the sound and knob per function interface though.

    Do you think all of these will work on the XD?
    Nice sounds. You and I have similar sonic tastes! I find so many of the sounds included in factory patch banks are worthless and poorly organized.
    I highly recommend the Deepmind if you can swing it as well.

    • @Treenote
      @Treenote  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks!
      I have no idea if they would work on the xd. It has a different synth engine so if it can load them I doubt they would sound exactly the same.
      I doubt the Minilogue library files would work but maybe the sysex versions will load?
      If you end up trying let me know what happens! I’m curious now.
      I agree about presets. I find most synth presets are over exaggerated classic sounds or unusable things to show off the capabilities.

    This is the natural synth or has plugins?

    • @Treenote
      @Treenote  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is just the Minilogue. No external effects. The delay sound is the built in delay.
      I can’t remember exactly as I made this a while ago but there may be a bit of compression to increase the volume of the recording. Nothing that would change the sound much though.

    • @Treenote
      @Treenote  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! The Minilogue doesn’t make plain acoustic piano sounds. It only does synth sounds. I suppose you could play piano sounds using it as a midi controller with a DAW.

      Hi Jimmy. Sure, what part are you stuck at? This video is for the XD but the librarian is pretty similar and it walks you though how to send presets to the minilogue xd. th-cam.com/video/OLWHdmYa4Nw/w-d-xo.html
