Spinning with a Ring Distaff

Just a short video of me using a ring distaff with a drop spindle. The ring is on my little finger and just rests across the palm. My hands curl around it loosely so I can use my index and middle finger for drafting, but I’m not gripping it which can cause fatigue.

You are doing it very well! Unfortunately the video ends at the challenging moment. As this model of a distaff cannnot be turned around, how do you manage to come to the next round of the sliver without tangling with the thread? Do you move the distaff under the thread?

Thanks for your comment. I hadn't really thought about it as it never seemed to be an issue. It's actually very easy to slip the distaff off my pinky and turn it 180 degrees, but I've also just unwrapped the fiber one turn by bringing the distaff under the fiber (or the fiber over the distaff....sort of a combination of the two, I guess. Lol).
