My first con: -went back on Sunday -got no contact info from other people -my hobbie is the furry fandom -spent 400 dollars at the dealers den -drove back -had the biggest pcd known to man
I can feel your inner pain of wanting to turn back to go back to the con and not go home just yet, *despite me not having gone to a con* but still you can get these feelings in life. each mile you keep driving away the closer you get too slowing having a small mental breakdown, by maybe shedding a tear wondering what you’re missing. It’s exactly like in school, the one day..ONE DAY! you stay home. Either faking sick, or……..faking sick. Is the one time at your school, the most amazing and awesome things happened and everyone later jokes at you and laughs that you stayed home, and like with pcd you feel sad.
Great video with great tips! I hope to one day in the future be able to stay for the full con experience as well but right now I'm a bit hesitant as mental health can still be quite tricky for me but one day, I hope it all gets better and that I'll truly be able to give it a try to see how staying for a full con experience will go! However, I'm already proud of myself for being able to stay a few days at one regardless as it takes a lot out of me to actually travel and go to a con even though I love going! And I totally agree with you as well on staying in touch with people you meet at cons/meets! I remember a few years ago meeting someone and keeping in touch with them and we're literally the best of friends! I'm super thankful to have met this person!
Excellent tips there, especially with the flying. I like flying, and it helps lol. Plus, I like to watch the videos following the con to relive the magic afterwards.
Welp, I'm planning to make an animation about an ad for the fake bad con. Now I'm not sure should I start working on it since since you said that no con thoughts right afterwards for about a week. At least it's not a con I would support.
I got out of it it got more and more expensive that’s depressing. I got out of it ten years ago or more I went for fun and make friends I buy stuff that I really need not spend on the dens tables if I don’t buy anything I feel bad. The flying got more expensive so instead of getting depressed 😔 I have good memories that’s what matters to me also money is tight right now but I got the memories and fun meeting people. Don’t get it let you down if you still feel fuzzy inside and warm that’s a good proud feeling my health got me in the way also but it is what it is. I got good vibes still I love anime cons as well thanks 😊 this is a good subject
These are awesome tips but the last one, so even though if I live a couple of hours from the con, I’m advised to pull a Taylor Swift and still fly to a furcon? Also I’m sure there are telegram and discord groups for some furcons as I know Aurawra and FurDU have them and what about if you do decide to drive spend a couple of hours at local sites and attractions of the area just to take your mind off it?
Depends how far the drive is. If it is 2 hours or less, consider driving to and from the Con every day to cut out the cost of a room. But remember that you need to get there and then get back home so you can sleep and wake up for the next day. I do this with my local Cons, and sometimes the PCD hits me as I have to leave somewhere around 10PM so I can get home and get to bed so I can wake up for the next day. So keep in mind there's pros and cons to not staying at the convention.

I almost always have a furmeet arranged not long after the con, and it definitely helps soften the blow.
These tips can truly be helpful.
Tips that I will follow, after MFF coming up!

If it's only 2 hours, you can just drive. Or you could see if there is a train route or something like that.

Post Con Depression got so bad I took a break from conventions
That’s is definitely some solid tips and advice. Keep your mind preoccupied so you don’t dwell on, is definitely a good choice.
Ngl I am so glad to be going home after a con lol
